【シニアひとり旅】大間のマグロって旨いの? in青森|崖っぷちシニアひとり旅 vol.2|みなと食堂 / 食事処かもめ:下北半島・青森県
Good morning! This is Taraco. This time, I’m going to eat some of Oma’s tuna and taste it for myself. To that end, I ate all sorts of tuna in various places around Tokyo. It’s currently late October, and it’s a little chilly in the morning. First, we’ll go to a restaurant at Mutsu Minato Station for breakfast. It’s a 15-minute walk from the hotel in the downtown area of Hachinohe City to Hachinohe Station, the closest station… I ate too much last night, so this amount of exercise might be just right. Well, that’s true. I’ve gotten used to this place a lot.
It feels like I’m living in Hachinohe. Today, the camera’s exposure settings are perfect. Mutsuminato Station is two stops from here. There are a lot of students here, probably because it’s the morning commute time. Walk about 3 minutes to the right from the station exit… I came here yesterday during the day and made a reservation in advance, so With a questioning look on my face, I briskly walked into the restaurant. Nice to be at the edge of the counter

and it’s ready to go! Minato Shokudo is famous for its flounder sushi rice bowl, but I ordered the flounder and tuna sushi rice bowl because I wanted to try the tuna from this restaurant, too. It seems that I can change the miso soup in the set to senbei-jiru if I pay an extra 200 yen. The Higashidori natural flounder used in this restaurant can be enjoyed all year round. Because they are caught alive using fixed nets, they are highly regarded for their freshness and quality. = Flounder and tuna zuke rice bowl = + Senbei Jiru This is “senbei-jiru” soup! I’ve always wanted to try it, so this is perfect! The flounder and tuna rice bowl wins on the basis of its appearance 🚩 The pickles look good too. I’m the kind of person who eats the side dishes first. Mmm, it’s fresh and has a good consistency! The precious tamagoyaki, which is only one, is also sweet and delicious. Next is “Senbei Jiru” Senbei-jiru is a soup made by adding Nanbu senbei rice crackers to a broth made from meat, fish, mushrooms, vegetables, etc. What? It’s delicious! It’s hard to describe in words, but the harmony of the various dashi flavors is amazing. This deliciousness is a taste that never gets old. Oh no… I’ve found another favorite dish in Aomori! And now, it’s time to get down to the real thing. Oh no… I instinctively broke the egg. The flounder of rumor… now, let’s meet! Hoh, it’s soft and feels sticky on the tongue. I thought it would be crunchier, but it’s juicy and delicious! It really goes well with egg yolks. I can’t get over the ecstasy of eating it sprinkled on top of the yolk! The more I eat, the more delicious it becomes… I can’t stop eating! I’ll have some tuna while I’m at it. The flavor of the tuna is deep. I suddenly wanted some rice with egg yolk on it. This looks so appetizing! Ah… I’m eating a delicious meal right now. The choice of a two-type bowl was correct.

I’ve never had such a luxurious breakfast before. Well, let’s go back to the hotel and check out. The impression of a street I walked while drunk last night is very different in the daytime. This time, we’ll take the bus to Hachinohe Station. Hachinohe Station looks like this
It’s a little more urban than Hachinohe Station. We’ll rent a car here and head further north. Driving a car… It’s been 8 years. I was nervous at first, but it seems like my body remembers. It’s a long way from Hachinohe to Omasaki. Why is there a horizon on the left? It’s such a long drive, so I decided to stop here. I’m pretty sure I saw horses around here in the poster… Look! It seems like I’ve been fooled by commercialism. Finally arrived… From the parking lot, walk along the coast. I think this scenery suits Miyuki Nakajima. It’s a small town with only a few stores. The northernmost tip of Honshu… beyond this point is Hokkaido It’s been a while since I’ve seen the ocean. What does it mean? “This is the northernmost point of Honshu.” Well, it’s getting late, but let’s have lunch. The first thing I saw was “Kamome”. A tuna bowl costs $20.00. A mini tuna bowl costs 1,800 yen… Next to it is the famous restaurant and guesthouse “Kaikyo-so”. The price is too shiny to see 💧 There it is! The tuna bowl is $21.33… The new building of Kaikyo-so is located beyond that. It looks like the restaurant is only in the main building. Actually, the restaurant I had decided on after doing some research is located here. There it is, the restaurant on the left. “Akemi-chan Go” What? I can’t find the menu for the tuna bowl. No good… It’s too dangerous. I’ll stay at Kaikyo-so next time I come… It’s decided on Kamome! I was told that it was okay to sit on the tatami. Oma tuna grow to several hundred kilograms and eat a lot of food, so they have a lot of fat and the toro part is large, so they are expensive. In 2019, a 278kg Ooma tuna sold for $2,224,000 at Toyosu Market, making it the king of tuna. Now it’s time to finally meet the tuna from Oma! There are lots of different menus. I also like the “tuna and salmon roe bowl”. Mini rice bowls are quite cheap. Maybe I’ll try a mini-mini attack next time. I can’t wait… = Tuna Bowl = Here’s a big mistake…

Tuna is too delicious. How different is it from the expensive tuna at the supermarket?
I wonder how good the tuna from Oma is. I underestimated them before I ate them. When I actually tried eating it there, the difference was clear. The fat of Oma tuna melts in my mouth. Even if it disappears in the stomach, the memory of happiness continues to linger in the mouth. Oh, the lean meat is tender and juicy ♡ I wonder if it’s okay to be so extravagant… What do you think of this shine? Oops! Let’s take a good look at it. Aah I don’t mind getting shot now. I apologize for my behavior. Even if I go back to Tokyo (or more accurately, Yokohama City), I don’t think I’ll be able to eat tuna for a while. As I thought, the fish is delicious in the north. 昨年の秋10月に大間のマグロを海峡荘さんで食べました。ほんとうに一生で食べたマグロで一番おいしかった!今までのマグロは何だったんだろうと思ったほどです。やっぱり津軽海峡が生み出す最高の魔法ですね! また絶対に行くつもりです!
朝6:30。みなと食堂さんに到着。
たいして並んでないと思ったら予約制で6時間待ち(!)
ということで断念。
仕方がないので、私は八戸市魚菜小売り市場で食べました。
さすがは市場。ウニ、マグロ、ホタテの松前漬け。
七輪村よりずっと安価で食べれました。
寒立馬はゲート近くの牧場にいませんでしたかね?
あけみちゃん号、マグロ丼が2,800でした。おいしかったです。
黒いメニュー看板が店外にありました。
かもめさん、おいしそうですね。
仏ヶ浦ドライブインのうに丼もうまかったです。
下風呂温泉に宿泊しました。源泉掛け流しの宿で大間のマグロはもちろん、新鮮な鮟鱇をお刺身、とも和え、定番お鍋でも贅沢に頂いてきました!
