Japan Walking Tour
Walking around Yurigaoka Station in Kawasaki City Current location: Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawasaki City Yurigaoka Station on the Odakyu Line. It’s Futa Station from Kakio Station last time. Please subscribe to the channel. We need everyone’s help to run it. It is located in the northernmost part of Kawasaki City. Well, let’s aim for local temples and shrines here as well. Looks like the pachinko parlor there has gone out of business. Houses are built close together on the hill that you can look up at. This is the Earth God Tower. It is said to have been popular from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. It is said that around 700 of them still exist in Kanagawa Prefecture. The shrine in the back is inside a residence. What is this? There is a pair. I have arrived. Takaishi Shrine. This is a stone monument from the Meiji era. It’s nice to have a sanctuary and a shrine that appear when you reach the top of the stairs. In the past, it would have been a spectacular view of rolling hills, but now it’s just a cluster of residential areas. There are many dragons like this, but guardian dogs are rare. I’m heading next. You can see the five-storied pagoda in the distance. This is the temple we will go to later. First, we will visit two other temples. This is Choonji Temple. Choonji. I feel like reading it as Zion Temple. The thread is stretched. I guess it’s a bird repellent. You can see that it is a hilly area. It’s empty here. There are also vintage items. It’s missing quite a bit though. I’m glad I came out from behind. It’s hard to go back. Since there is a temple, I wonder if this area has been inhabited since ancient times as a hill. After walking for a while, we arrived at Hounji Temple. It’s only about 200 meters away. It was founded in the Heian period, and after being abandoned for a while, it was rebuilt in the early Showa period. Something like local grave management business. Tree funeral. There was a time when graves ranged from expensive to cheap. I guess this is also a grave. Like a mass grave. It’s like a vacant lot in MMO housing. This is a spacious grave. Seems expensive. It’s empty here. How do you like it? I guess this is also a communal type. There are various types of graves. It’s like a trade show. The grave can be expanded by this amount of grass. A sample of the grave was left behind. I guess it was a new business. It’s a nice cemetery with a nice view. Kumano Daigongen? It must be modern because it has glass in it. I wonder if these are the remains of gravestones. Behind the new Roku Jizo, there is an old Roku Jizo that has fallen into disrepair. That’s all for today. Thank you for watching.
