夜行フェリーで13時間の長距離船旅!神戸⇒福岡のグルメを堪能!デラックスルームwith豆柴犬|Japanese ferry trip

Today’s Digest Hello from Kobe’s Chinatown. Today’s trip starts from Kobe. Of course, my partner, the small Shiba Inu Puri (female, 5 years old), will accompany me. What will happen on this trip? I’m excited even before the trip begins. You can’t travel on an empty stomach, so we’ll go shopping and eat at Kobe’s Chinatown. Come to think of it, it’s been a long time since I’ve had Peking duck. Peking duck is a high-class dish, but you can buy it cheaply while eating on the go. Peking duck 400 yen ($2.77) Puri doesn’t seem to eat Peking duck. Our Shiba Inu friend was also taking a walk. Puri was always looking down and didn’t notice her friend at all. Let’s head to the Kobe Ferry Terminal. It takes about 30 minutes by bus from Hanshin Mikage Station. 230 yen ($1.59) Today’s route is a 13-hour boat trip from Kobe to Fukuoka. I can see the ferry in the distance. Thank you, bus. This is Settsu, the Hankyu Ferry I’ll be taking today. It’s huge up close. Boarding begins at 19:00, one hour before the sunset . This is the most exciting time to board. It seems like we’re being welcomed. Let’s talk about money in the main hall at the open entrance. The with-pet room costs ¥14,850 ($102.86) plus the pet room fee of ¥11,000 ($76.19). First of all, my luggage is heavy, so I head straight to my room. I found the with-pet room. Room 552 is my hotel for today. The open room tour has started. It’s comfortable with air conditioning. The main switch is on and off. You can also adjust the volume of the announcements. This room has a nice toilet. It has a Japanese-made washlet. It’s a double room, so there are two single beds. There is a desk and a chair, and the ocean view is nice. Puri the Shiba Inu was also doing a room tour. The room also has a sink, which is very convenient. Hand soap, electric kettle, and cups are also available. The fact that Febreze is provided is a nice touch. There were four hangers in total, so it’s safe to have a lot of clothes. There is a pet cage, but it seems that it’s okay to let your pet run around freely in the room. Life jackets, TV, and a miniature Shiba Inu. Dinner time has come for the angry Shiba Inu. This is one of the most hungry dogs in Japan. Now it’s finally dinner time for humans. I’m wondering what to eat. This ferry is a cafeteria style where you can pick up as much as you like of whatever you like. There were many recommended products introduced. The photo was taken in March, so the winter menu is on (lol) There is a wide variety of drinks, from alcohol to juice. We entered the pickled vegetables zone. We came to the fish and sashimi zone. I would like to try seared ostrich meat someday. The tonkotsu hotpot and roast beef bowl look delicious too. We entered the vegetable salad and dessert zone. Now that I’m in the side dish zone, I have to choose something. There are so many delicious looking dishes that it’s hard to decide. I think I’ll go with the recommended “Mentaiko Fried Tofu”. Mentaiko Fried Tofu ¥480 ($3.33) There are even more delicious looking main-class ingredients lined up. I think I’ll just have one more dish today since the secret ingredient is waiting in the room. The meat looks very delicious. For some reason, it caught my eye, so I’ll go with “Mapo Tofu”. ¥550 ($3.81) I also ordered a small size of pork soup. Pork Soup ¥280 ($1.94) Here is my dinner set for today. For some reason, I ended up with a lot of tofu, with pork soup (with tofu), fried tofu, and mapo tofu. I’ll start with the pork soup with lots of ingredients. In addition to pork, there were also a lot of vegetables. The mapo tofu looked particularly shining. I’m still wondering why I ended up with so much tofu, but soy is good for you, so I’ll let it slide. There were a lot of vegetables in it, so it was healthy. Thank you for the meal. By the way, we haven’t set sail yet, and the ship is anchored at the Kobe Ferry Terminal. We’ll be leaving in 7 minutes, so I’ll go to the observation deck. The cityscape of Kobe is beautiful no matter when you look at it, and the night view is gorgeous. Goodbye Kobe. I’ll come again. There was someone waving at me. A cool funnel. Let’s burn the night view of Kobe into my eyes. I look for Kobe Port Tower, but I can’t find it. I found a UFO. The lights of Kobe Airport and places like industrial areas are beautiful. I’m back in my room. I’d like to try today’s secret ingredient. I’ll microwave the 551 pork buns in the fire truck box for a little bit. Be careful not to heat them too much, as they will become hard. I’m sure heating them for about a minute will be fine. I thought that pork buns also need alcohol. I’ll have my favorite highball for 300 yen ($2.08) right away. It’s the perfect shape. 551’s pork buns are one of the most delicious foods in Japan. They are characterized by their chewy skin and plenty of juicy pork. Unfortunately, dogs can’t eat them because they contain onions. We wash the pork bun down with a highball. Cheers! An announcement was made as we passed under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the second largest suspension bridge in the world. It was a very windy and cold day. You can hardly experience passing under a bridge except by ferry. The wind was so strong that the camera was shaking. I had no choice but to give some toothpaste gum to Puri the Shiba Inu. She’s a picky eater who eats everything. The amenity introduction corner suddenly started. The amenities included disposable slippers and toothbrushes. There was a towel in Funeko’s bag. Now you can go to the large public bath. There is a reading light by the pillow. There is a control panel and a USB port between the beds. There is also an air purifier so you can breathe fresh air. The bed is already made, so you can go to sleep right away. This is the back of a Shiba Inu’s head. This ferry also has a dog run. The dog run is a little small, but it is surrounded by a fence and very safe. Today, I want to play ball throwing with my dog. The ship tour begins. The with-pet room is at the back, so we start from the back. I was scolded by the dog in the pet room, so I left. There was someone singing really loudly in the karaoke room. The driver ‘s room has a designated area. This Hankyu Ferry has three floors. The shops and other facilities are concentrated on the 5th floor where we are now. The 6th floor has guest rooms and restaurants. The 7th floor has guest rooms, an open-air bath, and an observation deck. Let’s start with the 5th floor. The atrium near the entrance is gorgeous. There is a large TV and it is an open space. For some reason, Japanese ferries often have game centers. There are a lot of crane games. There are also slot machines. There was a gachapon machine where you can win old money. It costs 300 yen ($2.06) per turn. Apparently, Gofune-in is popular these days. The kids’ space was crowded, but I took this photo when no one was there. This is the vending machine corner, which is a favorite of mine, Tom and Jerry . Kirin alcohol Asahi alcohol Valuables lockers are free to use. The ferry is located between Awaji Island and Shodo Island. It seems like there is still a long way to go. There was also a vending machine corner. Cup noodles are even more delicious when eaten on the boat. There is a microwave, so you can bring your own. Mobile phone charging is 100 yen ($0.69) per charge, and there is a wide variety of juices. An ice cream vending machine, which is indispensable on ferries. There is also a kitchen. A water heater and a water server. You can drink as much water as you want at any time. There is a board with business hours, which is very easy to understand. Smoking is prohibited except in the public telephone smoking room. It seems that fun parties are being held on the upper floors. This is the 6th floor. Restaurants take up half of the floor. There is a vending machine corner for alcohol, so you can hold a fun party. They also have soft drinks. You can also cosplay as a captain. This is the night view of Kobe, which is one of the “Three Great Night Views of Japan” along with Hakodate and Nagasaki. This is the long corridor on the 7th floor. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath. There is also an observation deck. On the 7th floor, there are royal rooms and suites. I arrived at the observation deck. Smoke is coming out of the funnel. There is an elevator, so I tried it. It is a slow elevator, so if you are in a hurry, it is faster to take the stairs. I will go down from the 7th floor to the 5th floor. I am on the 5th floor. Even so, this time it was crowded with group tourists. About three large buses had arrived. I decided to look around the shops at the end. The Kobe beef souvenirs were sold out. The hot snacks were also sold out. There are many types of ice cream and drinks, so there are still some left. The popular ones are sparsely popped. It seems that the snacks are not selling that well. There are still many snacks. The Funeko cookies are very popular and have decreased in number. This is the souvenir corner for Kyushu and Fukuoka. This is the souvenir corner for Kansai and Kobe. The corner with original Funeko goods was empty. Many customers were buying this T-shirt. Funeko goods accessories were also selling like hot cakes. The shop also sells daily necessities, so it seems like it’s okay if you forget your toothbrush. The price of the Gofune-in was cheaper than I expected. 300 yen ($2.06). The Hankyu Ferry is also equipped with Wi-Fi. However, perhaps due to the large number of people? I couldn’t connect. Good night. Around midnight. Good morning. It’s 6am. As for my current location, I’m already approaching Shin-Moji Port in Fukuoka Prefecture. The battle called breakfast has begun. As for my breakfast, I’m wondering what to eat. However, there was a long line for breakfast. I had no choice but to go to the shop to buy bread, but there was a long line. And the bread was sold out in no time. Even the ice cream was like this. Funeko goods were sparsely populated. Outside, the fog was so bad that I couldn’t see anything and visibility was very poor. I had no choice but to buy the only coffee that was left and went back to my room. I think it was 150 yen ($1.03). As I approached Shin-Moji Port, I passed a large ship. The sister ships of Ocean Tokyu Ferry and Hankyu Ferry were moored next to each other. The Hankyu Ferry is a type where the front of the hull opens up. I arrived at the ferry terminal, which looked like Kyoto or Nara. I disembarked at 8am on schedule. Thank you, Hankyu Ferry Settsu, for bringing me safely. The bus will depart as soon as I get off, so I have to hurry. I wanted to take a picture of the ferry terminal, but I didn’t have time. Today, I came to Mojiko Retro to do a little sightseeing. It’s a shame that it’s raining. Mojiko is a tourist area that makes use of historical buildings built from the Meiji to Showa eras and old townscapes. Puri also landed on land for the first time in a while. Speaking of famous gourmet food in Moji, it is grilled curry. I wonder how it tastes in the birthplace of grilled curry rice. It’s said to be a taste you should try at least once before you die. I came to the Danga Market in Kokura. It seems most of the shops are closed on Sundays. Too bad. Next is Kokura Castle. The castle in the light rain is also quite beautiful. I wonder where I should go next. Thank you very much for watching until the end.
