ITALY – THE LAND OF ENDLESS BEAUTY – TOP DREAM DESTINATIONS IN ITALY
Welcome dear friends to Italy, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, come with me to explore some of the jewels of this wonderful country. Why is this sand black?🤔 Positano is one of the most beautiful Italian resorts, located on the Amalfi Coast, not far from Naples. The colors of the facades have a meaning: In the past, bright colors helped fishermen recognize their homes at sea. These ships leave for Capri or Naples. From the sea, Positano seems like a city suspended between sky and water. Cruises reveal the unseen side of this magical place. Alberobello is famous for its trulli, traditional dwellings built entirely of stone, without mortar, with cone-shaped roofs. These houses are unique in the world. The name Alberobello means “beautiful tree”, and the town has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1996. Mysterious symbols appear on the roofs of their trulli, painted with white lime. These have religious, magical or astrological meanings. In Alberobello there are over 1,500 authentic, perfectly preserved trulli. Limone sul Garda is known as the sunniest village on Lake Garda. One of the most biggest lake of italy Would you like to live in this village? Venice is built on 118 islands, connected by over 400 bridges. The city was founded in 421, on the marshy lagoon of the Adriatic Sea, as a refuge for locals from barbarian invasions. The buildings of Venice are built on millions of wooden pillars, driven into the sandy soil of the lagoon. The Rialto Bridge, the oldest on the Grand Canal, was built in 1591, replacing a wooden bridge. There are no cars in Venice — travel is done exclusively on foot or by water, with gondolas, vaporettos, and water taxis. Venice is slowly sinking: over the last 100 years, the water level has risen by about 30 centimeters. Legend has it that beneath the waters of the lagoon lie sunken treasures and palaces forgotten for centuries. Gondolas are always painted black, following a 17th-century decree that banned bright colors. Milan is the world fashion capital, along with Paris, London and New York, hosting Milan Fashion Week annually, the most important events in the fashion industry. Here is the Duomo of Milan, the largest Gothic cathedral in Italy and the third largest in the world. Its construction took almost 600 years. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the luxury gallery in the city center, is one of the oldest shopping galleries in the world, inaugurated in 1877. Milan is considered the city with the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy. Every December, the Dome hosts a holy relic: a nail from the Cross of Christ, kept in a reliquary for centuries. The city’s name comes from the ancient Mediolanum, which means “in the middle of the plain”. Milan was the capital of the Western Roman Empire in the 4th century. Rome was founded, according to legend, in 753 BC by the brothers Romulus and Remus, suckled by a she-wolf. Every night, authorities collect over 3,000 euros in coins from the Trevi Fountain, donated to charity. Rome was the capital of the Roman Empire, the Catholic Church, and later, modern Italy. Rome has over 900 churches—more than any other city in the world. In Antiquity, Rome had a population of over 1 million inhabitants—a feat unmatched in Europe until the 19th century. The name Piazza di Spagna comes from the Spanish Embassy to the Vatican, located here since the 17th century. With its 135 steps, they are considered the most beautiful Baroque staircases in Europe. Piazza di Spagna was also the place where women came to pray for beauty and luck in love. Piazza di Spagna is considered the symbol of romantic and bombastic Rome. Thank you so much for being part of this Italian adventure. Traveling is not just about the places, but especially about the people you experience them with. It was so great to discover all these places together and I can’t wait to repeat the experience soon!
