【奈良】今井町のレトロ感がたまらない!今行きたい気になる素敵スポット!
Hello, I’m Shie! The other day, I went to Imai-cho in Nara. I thoroughly enjoyed sightseeing and gourmet food! We hope this will be helpful for your Nara trip or outing. Please take your time to watch until the end. I parked my car in the parking lot behind the Imai Townscape Exchange Center “Hanairaka”. First of all, we will go to the Imai Townscape Exchange Center “Hanairaka”. By train, it is about a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Yagi-Nishiguchi Station and about 8 steps from JR Unebi Station. Head to the front entrance. I came to the front. It has a very solid feel and is cool! This building is a designated cultural property of Nara Prefecture. Admission is free. The inside is now a museum for Imai Town. You can learn about Imai Town through the diorama. It was built in 1902 as the Takaichi County Educational Museum, and was used as the Imai Town Hall from 1927. When I went up to the second floor, there were many wonderful points ❤︎. I could feel the atmosphere of the Meiji era in both the exterior and interior, and the retro atmosphere was the best ❤︎. thank you very much. I came to the farmhouse Auberge Komorebi for lunch. This restaurant uses pesticide-free seasonal vegetables from Nara Prefecture. I ordered the Hanakago lunch (dessert and drink included, 1,800 yen). I’m happy just looking at it♪ Well then, let’s eat. The main hamburger steak is meaty and has a taste that everyone loves! There are plenty of side dishes too! All of them are carefully made and have a gentle flavor that will leave you feeling relieved. Lots of tempura too. All kinds of vegetables are crisply fried. Add a little salt and enjoy! Thank you for the meal. After the meal, dessert and drinks arrived. The panna cotta had a gentle sweetness that was soothing. It was a great lunch time with delicious food in a quaint townhouse❤︎. Thank you for the meal. From here, we will walk around Imai Town for a while. When you arrive by train, you will see a red bridge that becomes a landmark. At the foot of the bridge, there was a large tree called Sobu Bridge Hackberry. The tree is 15m tall and is said to be 420 years old. Imai Town has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Found a gecko! There’s a great atmosphere wherever you walk. I came to see the Imanishi family residence. The magnificent building has been designated as a national important cultural property. Imai Town was once a village surrounded by a moat. The moat around this area has been restored. When I looked up, there was a swallow’s nest, and the chicks were chirping happily. Walking through the old-fashioned streets makes you feel as if you have traveled back in time. The post office also matched the atmosphere of the town. No matter which street you walk down, it’s full of flavor. Shonen-ji Temple, which became the core of Imai-cho, appeared at the end of the Muromachi period. It has been designated as a national important cultural property. Well then, it’s time to go have some tea. I came to Unomachi Coffee Shop for tea. This book cafe is located in a renovated townhouse and has a very cute atmosphere ❤︎. I ordered a creme brûlée seasonal parfait (1,100 yen), Tounomachi cream soda (800 yen), and today’s coffee ice cream (400 yen). These two are so cute and full of girly vibes ❤︎. Midori has a kiwi flavor. The crème brûlée on top is caramelized and crispy! It looks so gorgeous even from above, it’s a waste to eat it…❤︎. Inside was sorbet, vanilla ice cream, milk pudding, and strawberries, and I enjoyed it deliciously! Thank you for the meal. After about 5 minutes by car, I arrived at Ofusa Kannon. It is a temple where you can enjoy seasonal flowers, and admission to the precincts is free. (Admission fee is 300 yen only inside the main hall.) The grounds are lined with over 1,000 lanterns of various types, making it a sight to behold! And under the lanterns, colorful roses are in full bloom. There are so many types of roses. The Spring Rose Festival will be held until June 30th. I’ll go to the back too. This lantern is also colorful and cute ❤︎. Just looking at it makes me happy♪ Apparently once or twice a month, nighttime illuminations are held. I’m sure it’s beautiful…☆. We had a wonderful walk around the grounds. That’s it for Nara Vlog. This time’s souvenir will be introduced at the end of the video. If you liked this video, I would be happy if you gave it a high rating and subscribed to the channel! This time’s souvenir is “kuzumochi”. It was 1,296 yen for 6 pieces. This is Kuzumochi from Tengyokudo, a long-established Yoshino kudzu manufacturer founded in 1870. This is what it looks like from above. This is what it looks like from the side. We maintain the traditional manufacturing method passed down from the late Edo period. We use “Kuki” Yoshino kudzu, which is made from domestic raw materials. When you cut it in half, the cross section looks like this. Serve with lots of brown sugar syrup and soybean flour. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before eating. It’s very sticky and elastic. The aroma of soybean flour and the sweetness of brown sugar syrup bring out the deliciousness. Kuzumochi had a cool appearance and was perfect for summer. Well then, thank you for watching. See you again in the next video.
