【北海道】東川町出稼ぎ車中泊の旅、東旭川で御神水と言われる湧水を汲み東川町の氏神様に参拝した後美味しい手作り豆腐を買い、絶景を眺めるキャンピングカーで愛犬と旅をするアラフィフ夫婦のバンライフ。
The morning of 16th May 2025. Our family camped in the car at the 21st Century Forest campground. 21st Century Forest. Corgi Travel, Van Life with Corgis. Osa, Mama-chan, and Kotaro. Preparing breakfast. Sandwiches. Osa and Kotaro go for a morning walk. There are wild rabbits at this campground. Kotaro eats vegetables first. Breakfast is ready. Sandwiches are usually delicious when stuffed in between. A campground at the easternmost end of Asahikawa City. In the middle of nature where wild rabbits live. It’s a place I’d like to stay for a few days. It’s time to leave. Osa has a business meeting at noon. We move to Higashikawa Town and tour the city. You can dispose of your garbage for free at the reception management building. We’ve come to Higashikawa Town, at the foot of Mount Daisetsu. We were thinking of going to see the famous Hagoromo Falls, but when we checked, we found out that the promenade to Hagoromo Falls was currently closed. We change our plans and go to get some spring water. 21st Century Forest. Kami Nanbu Suijingu Shrine. It’s not good to fight over drawing spring water. Kami Nanbu Suijingu Shrine. Donate 100 yen as a donation. There is a legend that the spring water of Ko is miraculous and cures illnesses. Even today, it is carefully protected as sacred water. Kotaro loves spring water. The spring water here is delicious. Kami Nanbu Suijingu Shrine. First, say hello to the local deity. Higashikawa Shrine. Higashikawa Shrine. Coffee time. It’s a shame that we’re out of my favorite coffee. Higashikawa Town has a famous coffee shop, Yoshinori Coffee. I’d like to go there during my stay. Osa loves skinship with Kotaro. Coffee brewed with delicious spring water. It tastes especially good. After this, Osa has some work to do. Osa is in a meeting. Cent Pure II. There is a delicious tofu shop in Higashikawa Town. My family loves tofu, so of course we went to buy some. If the water is delicious, we should be able to make delicious tofu. Hirata Tofu Shop. There is another shop affiliated with Hirata Tofu Shop, selling things like fried tofu paste. It looks like the shop is in the middle of a rice paddy. Agefuku. I bought some ingredients for tonight. Higashikawa Town has a beautiful forest park. Agefuku. Kitoushi Forest. Kitoushi Forest. If you climb up to the house, there is an observation deck overlooking the rice paddies. It’s in the mountains. Kitoushi Observatory. Kotaro can’t go in, so Osa and I wait there. It’s a spectacular view. Having seen the spectacular view, we head back to our accommodation. Preparing for dinner. Mountain wasabi is delicious. I make hiya-yakko with the tofu I just bought. The tofu is big. Dinner is done. I top Kotaro with tofu as well. The feast begins. The spiciness of the mountain wasabi goes well with the tofu. This tofu has the sweet taste of soybeans. Fried tofu and white fish paste I bought at Agefuku. It’s crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Delicious. Osa starts work tomorrow. This is my first time planting rice. I’ve gotten used to the fact that the work is different every time. It’s also important to think that you can manage it. The slow pace of the night. Today I entered Higashikawa Town. I was surprised at the beauty of the rice field scenery. I’m staying for about two weeks. I’ll be working nonstop in that scenery from tomorrow. So I’ll enjoy a few more drinks tonight. The journey to work will continue tomorrow.
