good morning from Kandy so this is the fermentation area they are drying the leaves which is needed after the rain the traffic is crazy we’re still hustling bustling to this city so today we’re gonna leave this hotel and we’re gonna continue our trip to Nuwara Eliya so we are leaving this place now of course it has to rain when we want to drive ha ha oh there is also a monkey OK so we made it back to the tuktuk and we are on the way to Nuwara Eliya and there it is very famous the tea plantation I heard it’s also very cold there so maybe 15 16 degree I didn’t during the day bring a sweater I only have t shirts I told you anyways we got blocked after five minutes of driving whatever they’re doing I think they’re doing a new street or something I don’t know yeah anyways we have to wait here until they’re finished because there is only this way we only have to go this way and we have to wait until the street is uh empty again so see you hopefully in uh yeah 10 minutes okay that was fast so we’re gonna drive now here hello hello they’re so happy to see foreigners I feel like they don’t see a lot of foreigners here definitely not we’re in the middle of Sri Lanka in the middle of the country and we still need a hotel for tonight so anyways what is very interesting is also in Nuwara Eliya there were the British people so the houses also look like British houses uh which is very interesting so yeah we’re gonna check it out Sri Lanka was colonized by the British so it got hot inside and finally the rain stopped I don’t know how to Mauri, Mauri, Mauri how long will it take I Crocodile River I saw I saw a sign that there are crocodiles in this river no joke yes look at this house that’s insane the traffic is crazy we’re still hustling bustling to this city start to rain again this is a crazy week all the rain we’re driving now uphill the mountain and uh I noticed already that it’s getting colder so yes I’m wearing also rain jacket already I will see if I have to buy a sweater because I didn’t even bring a sweater so I thought it’s hot anywhere in Sri Lanka but that’s not the that’s not the case let me try something for you guys Molly wanted to do that I was not sure about it so if this is the last video you know why so we can see everywhere the tea is already the tea plantation but unfortunately it’s raining so I cannot see that much because this side is blocked and this side is a bit cloudy also a fun fact guys we got this uh tuktuk a cabriolet tuktuk which you can open on the top on the roof to have a cabriolet that uh how it looks like um we we will not use it now hahaha we didn’t use it yet so yeah that’s that’s not the plan but you know there’s like a quote um I forgot the quotes um I gotta come back to you if I can so here on the left side of the road there is also a waterfall and now we’re driving through this tunnel here let’s go let’s go okay it’s so dark in this tunnel oh my God you see monkey got a monkey over here he’s soaked gonna park here and check out the tea factory I think or I read like the tour is for free and then you got like some tea to taste and then of course the tour is free because you have to drink a tea no buy tea ah that’s their business but the tour is not outside no the it’s in the factory I think how they prepared it I hope it’s not outside now I mean I have a white I have a rain jacket so I don’t have anything just a shirt but let’s try some Sri Lankis Sri Lankan tea Sri Lankan tea here is the tea plantation oh my God look at this but it’s raining unfortunately it’s me uh we visit the factory yes sir where is it uh only you two yeah so stay here I will let you know once we starting the next tour okay so within few minutes can start that is free of charge ah okay okay alright so it’s free of charge to visit the factory over here and you can also do like a tea field safari over here would you like to do that in the ring a what a tea safari no I’m good better to just check out the factory you go with who hahaha you can already smell it smells like on a farm in Switzerland no it smells like if you put like the grass you know like the grass for the cows so what are they doing here they are drying the leaves which is needed after the rain oh so many tea leaves I think that’s black tea smells like black tea I will explain about the tea factory and about tea plant we have tea plantation about thousand two hundred acres we have 1,000 employees 600 of them are ladies Malay’s for tea picking it’s a traditional we have two types of tea plants green colour and the red colour we are producing mainly three types of teas black tea green tea and the white tea white teas are the best it has three varieties golden silver and the white needle that red colour plant we are using for white tea and green colour plant for green this is the fermentation area shaky shaky tea so we are passing to here through this conveyor belt it’s temperature 125 Celsius it take only 20 minutes of dry we are using only firewood for heat not the electricity then after drying brown colour turn to the black colour now black is ready but it’s still that is stalks particles mixed with the tea stocks we not drink because no any taste electro static rollers then all lighter particles attached to the rollers then we take out and use as compost this brown colour bags are the final tea packing it’s 50 kilos this entire process take only one day tea silver tea and the white tea normally these are lighter taste golden flower infused the mix of white teas black teas and the tea flowers okay so after the tea tour we are excited now to try the tea without any other chemical or stuff so ready to try a hot tea haha thank you we got here a cute spot this is so amazing that they offer this free I love it haha so here we got also a little menu of tea cakes and chocolate cake and hot dog and pizzas I don’t know if the pizzas is gonna be good but anyways um which is very cool is that the Bop tea the English breakfast tea is free so we can test it out um Maori wanted to have a chai we’re not in India but anyways they also drink chai here a lot of chai yeah with milk and sugar okay but you know like the prices are also very affordable yeah it’s like $1 or something so we’re gonna try a tea cake right let’s try that’s great oh thank you thank you so much thank you could we try a tea cake tea cake yes and uh can I try a chicken hot dog please chicken hot dog yes thank you one tea cake and one chicken OK so give it a try let me try the BOP tea this is the English breakfast tea and the difference is also that this tea here is like pure they told us so let me try very good do you smell a difference from another tea to be honest not really but I’m not a tea expert but it’s good it’s good try a cup of tea that’s why that’s why the British were here right because of the tea probably probably afternoon tea hmm you smell a difference yeah it’s not too strong actually it’s very good and it’s perfect because the weather is cold so to have a tea here is amazing we got the tea cake look at this I’m gonna try now a little bit tea cake hmm it’s also warm lovely so I ordered also a chicken hot dog because I got hungry so enjoy your cake the cake is actually very good I tried it and let me try the chicken hot dog so actually the hot dog is really good right I just hope the salad is washed good we’ll see tomorrow but so far it’s good the tea was so good and here is also a shop where you can find a lot of different teas that are from the plantation and you can buy here yes so there’s tea range from around $1 to 50 dollar which is crazy for the silver silver tea the golden is the most expensive one right the white tea the white tea thank you bye bye OK so now I called a lady so I found the number actually online so I called the lady uh if they have a place to stay for tonight I have no idea where we gonna like be but she was so friendly and she was like oh yeah I can cook curry for you tonight I start cooking now I like okay so yeah we’re gonna go now to her it’s a home stay and it’s in the Nuwara Eliya a town so yeah let’s hit the road there is our tuktuk 25 minutes left to go and then we can rest wow and without the rain it looks even better oh yeah it’s not raining and we actually have a good view hey we’re preparing our tuktuk again for the road you have to hold it I have to hold it okay here here here here okay here wow you’re getting so good at it ha ha folding pro so we put also the luggage here nobody steal it so safety for now approved hope it gonna stay like this I go back in my little hole and yeah let’s hit the road we are nearly there and you can see the villages they look like in England so really British that’s crazy and they’re really cold now yeah it’s getting breezy as higher we go as colder it gets but I think like the temperature is really comfortable after all the heat we had like in Thailand and also here it was pretty hot it’s good to have a bit of fresh air now and I think the air is also good because all the tea so we are getting more and more into the city and here on the streets are selling fruit vegetable Nubara Elia we made it to London no to Nubara Elia the weather is like in London ha ha ha so and I’m gonna check out if it works here to get some money from the ATM so let me check where the ATM is we are on the way now on the way to search a ATM here in this town so before the bank was closed I couldn’t yes the bank was closed nobody know why here’s the mosque kind of maybe I have to drive more in front here is kind of oh my God goodbye no why is everything closed that’s strange so people are wearing like jackets here as well with the T-shirt and my shorts yes it’s really cold I told you so here is no ATM I just believe I need a sweater in this weather yeah understand so here is a pub a pub over here oh I see oh no this is the petrol station what is there also not it’s kind of hard to find a ATM here to be honest at that time here bank where nation but it ah here yeah here we can get the money okay yes I gonna go you wait so how do you get inside here okay like you can see the
