Oh, Chile, mate, are you in the frame? Yes, she is. She’s just right there. We all packed up and good to go. Look at my hair. I tried to find a hairdresser in this town and no one wanted to do my hair. The story of my life. That’s all right. Hopefully, we’ll get it done in next couple of days. But the plan for today is to go to the Pacific Ocean, which is only like 30 kilometers from here. So, it’s going to be an easy hot ride. And I hope at the end we’ll be able to camp and enjoy the Pacific Ocean. It’s been a [Music] while. So long, Leon. I enjoyed this city. So much history here, right? Let’s go this way, Chile. This guy is skilled. Wow, good balance. [Music] Last 12ks we’ll be doing on third. Let’s slow down for the horsey. It’s bit ski. Let’s slow down for the people. Hola. Nice fast travel. Woo. [Music] [Music] Yeah, our road is that way. But I want to see these pools. What they’re farming. What is it? Is it sea salt? Farm? I don’t know. Farm. You call it farm. I don’t know. Or is it? I reckon it’s sea salt. What do you think? I think so. Well, looks like a big operation. Anyway, I just wanted to see it. Let’s around and stick to our route. Okay. This way, too. Yeah, it is sea salt. See, there are few piles of salt. Oh, this is so interesting how they extract salt from the seawater, right? Huh, there are pools everywhere. Uh I remember when I was working in Western Australia in Tilra back in the days in mining industry. So and there was this massive pile of sea salt uncovered, right? It was just like a big white June. Was quite unreal. And I always wondered why it doesn’t melt in the rain season, you know, because in Pilra there’s the cycling season. It rains like crazy. And I’m thinking why? How come? It’s not melting. Where are we chilling? Oh, suddenly the road is getting more narrow. So, see, this is some kind of village. Yes. Anyway, so many questions I can’t answer. Maybe you guys know the answer. See, so many holes of the sea salt. Ah, wait, wait. I have to see. I have to see it. Wow. I show you such large crystals, huh? Interesting. Hey, let’s taste it. Okay, I’ll tell you if it’s I’ll tell you if it’s true salt. Yep, it’s salt. My mouth is salty. Now we are not too far from our final destination. Actually, apparently there’s like a beach camp 350 m from here. So, let’s see. I think it’s just like a camping in a village sort of scenario. A you have arrived like where? Ah, I don’t think so. Yeah, I think it’s just someone’s private property. And this looks like the road is getting one arrow and maybe end of the road there. Yeah. Nah. Okay. Well, I don’t think this is a good place. Maybe we should go to some more like more touristy destination. Oh. Oh. Or maybe we should go to a hotel. This looks nice for $30 with a pool. I think I want to I want that one. Let’s go there. [Music] So um seehu okay. Okay. My GPS was saying I supposed to go there, but I think we’re going to use this other road. Yeah, cuz that looked like a sea salt factory or whatever you call it. Okay. Well, my GBS is saying take this road. I guess we can take this one. That looks like a cool road. So, we’re going sort of along the Pacific Ocean now. We’re heading south along the coast for another 10ks on this road. Cool adventure ride today. I had no idea we’ll be doing adventure riding today. Chile. So cool. So far, every day we’ve been doing off-road. [Music] [Music] So you see that’s that’s how they do it. They make those poos very shallow and then water evaporates and leaves the crystals of the salt in the pools. I think this is how it goes. Trust me, I’m an engineer. [Music] I think this is it. This is the hotel. I think this one. I’m not sure. Oh, maybe next one. On the right. We should probably ask. There’s like no sign, no sign that this is a hotel. We’re in [Music] lost my hair. Damn. Trying to trying to get some shade. Right. So, we are we are here. We made it. This is my little house, but it’s not ready because it’s still like 9:00 a.m. So, I’m going to leave Chile here under this tree, and we’re going to go for a swim. Mhm. First things first. Pacific Ocean, I’m back. How are you, Pacific Ocean? It’s been a while. Look at this beach. It’s empty. Wow. And the sand is so hot. I’m all by myself here. I love it. We’re doing it. A so actually it’s not it’s quite coolish which is a surprise because it was very warm in El Salvador. Maybe they have some colder currents going through. I am so happy right now. A so niceoo. My room is ready. Jilly, let’s go. I’ll put you under the shelter. Right here, but you have your own shade. Going to have a brick. I’m so organized. Try your kickstand. There you go, mate. Now you’re out of the sun. The cabana is amazing. I have to show show you now. You have to see this. You have to see this. It’s insane. There you go. Here we go. This is my cabana, right? Flash. Fancy. And here I have outdoor shower with a mirror. Interesting. I also have a fridge. Don’t mind my mess. I have a cooking stove. a fan and the view. This is unreal. And all of that for $30 US. Unreal. [Music] I can’t believe I found this place. This is exactly what I needed. Just to chill on a remote beach, somewhere nice. But I just had no idea I’m going to have such a premium accommodation for such a low price. This is this is just incredible. Nicaragua, I must say, has the best quality for the price, you know. Uh, it’s not so expensive because I’m expecting Costa Rica will be expensive, but Nicaragua prices here are quite low. You know where to come for cheap holidays. The sun is going down. [Music] and Chile is just parked underneath. [Music]

After wandering around the Nicaraguan coastline, I stumbled upon the ultimate spot to relax and soak in the Pacific Ocean vibes. This is my story of finding tranquility and a sense of belonging in paradise. Join me on this journey!

    The top layers of salt do liquify (melt) when it gets wet only to return to a solid when the water evaporates. I happened to pay attention in science class that day. 😂

    Your Engineering instincts are spot on! That's exactly how the salt is harvested. In Utah, they call those pools, Evaporation Ponds! You worry too much about your hair. When it grows out a little, it frames a beautiful face and enhances your eyes. Just my opinion. Take care, Kinga! 🤟

    That was nice digs for US $30, I want to go there. When the mountains of salt get wet, they form a crust like the rock salt blocks that we put out for cattle on dry range land. The rain water simply runs off. after drying, the rock salt crust can be crushed. Trust me, I'm an engineer! 😉
