Loved this episode, remembering our travels to Brunei, Miri and KK especially. KK is a small city but has everything. For the truck camper, wouldn't a double cab (or twin cab as they are called in Australia) just be a waste of the back seats? Here we have what is called an Xtra cab or King Cab, like one and a half sized cab, but possible for small people to sit in the back. But very handy for storing extra stuff, and groceries etc.
Great vlog . Flooding in borneo is not that rare, but just be extra careful, when you cross the flooded road .. what you do is the right decision, follow the front vehicle trail .. awesome job for that 👍

You tubers 'those happy days' hired a truck camper in the UK and took it to the UK, so I'm sure you could reregister it in the UK.
Maybe get a Isuzu dmax as you like that.

Amazing wonderful trip. Your chase for adventure sure isn't diminishing I hope solar panels for the roof or portable ones with a power station it's a viable option, especially if your parked up off grid somewhere for 2+ days. Most if not all the other van lifers I've followed use solar (I'm a big fan of solar). oh and Marian I hope you can get cruise control and even maybe automatic! Much love & happy travels 🫶💖
If you are looking at Treading the globe in Africa, you should read the books by Kingsley Holgate who has done numerous trips with several people in the group in more than one vehicle. His books would give you really good tips. He has also done Australia.
Great vlog. Sad this trip is over but excited you're planning another super long adventure, which are my personal favourite.
Have you considered contacting Isuzu, or any other auto companies, to see if they would sponsor you on your travels? Even if they just provided a vehicle like Kit in different countries such as, Australia and N.Z., etc… where it's basically impossible to get Trudy in due to regulations. It would save you the time, trouble, and cost of having to ship her and you'd have an appropriate vehicle for the terrain. Something to consider.

I have to say in this episode, everything is done and packed in 40 minutes (from flood in sarawak till you leaving KK) in 'kinda hurry'. Like you were so rushing back to KL.
I was hoping some kind of emotional closure to mark the end of Borneo Adventure.
Haha, a little disappointment but that's my opinion.
However i feel excited again, knowing your next big project with new camper truck. Hope it can be realised as soon as possible. You great journey is so addictive for us, and without your journey, how am i going to spend my Sunday evening? 😅
