@jhamil_bader continuing my takeover! In any creative endeavor the tools we use, and our familiarity with those tools, play a major role in how comfortable we are while creating, which directly affects our creative output. How does this relate to my decision to switch from Nikon to Canon? Well, over the summer I had the opportunity to try out the cameras of my fellow photographers and one thing I realized is that even the way a camera feels in your hands while you’re shooting makes a difference in your creative process. The layout of the buttons can make a major difference in your workflow when out in the field, especially if you’re trying to capture moments that pass quickly. I highly recommend testing out a few different cameras that have the specs you’re looking for, and put the feel and function into account when selecting a camera. I found that the size and weight of the Canon 6D works perfectly.
Oh, and another pro photography tip. If you’re going to be capturing landscapes and want to add a sense of scale, invest in a red jacket!
