From the local hero who returned my phone, to the legendary fire show crew (seriously, I’ve never seen moves like that 🔥), to the random strangers who became part of the story—I’m just feeling really grateful.
Krabi is way more than just postcard beaches. Whether it was climbing the Tiger Cave Temple (well, thinking about it… 😂), floating in the Emerald Pool, wandering through mangroves, or watching the sun set over Ao Nang—I felt like I was constantly being reminded to slow down, soak it in, and say thank you.

Been to Krabi 2 or 3 times and it one of my favorite smaller towns to spend time in. Also easy acess to Ao Nang and Railay Beach but those places have grown so much busier since I was there over 10-15 years ago.
Love the name Crabby Town 😂… are they crabby?? Love the street art!!!! Cool caves! Too many steps to the Tiger Temple!!! You’d have to carry me!! 😂

I was in Krabi in May 2015. I was there for 7 days and it poured rain 24 hours a day for 6 of the 7 days. The one day that it did not rain, I went to Patong beach and stood on the very beach where the tsunami came ashore. It was surreal.
I never got to see anything around the area but, I recognized the market area. I went there for food every day because it was close to the place that I was staying.
My friend goes to Ao Nhang beach often.
