Humphrey Bogart: "It's the stuff that dreams are made of."
Please, Please have Lord of the Rings 🎉.. also is that a green Vekoma Flyer??
With this being in the UK. I'd love to see that main street covered for inclement weather. But also HHN. Cmon universal. Do it!!!
but no harry potter in THE england????
I Really, REALLY hope they're actually building the Back to the Future land! That would be AMAZING!!
As always a fantastic video, well done. I’ve been looking at the concept art all day and it hadn’t twigged that it was likely Amnity Bay (Jaws) in that corner. If built I wonder if it’s just a theme restaurant area though due to its size.
Without a doubt the biggest theme park news in a very long time, wow. Great video!
As the delorean was manufactured in Belfast, back to the future ride would make sense
Lord of the Rings should for sure take the spot of that "Shrek" land, it makes a ton of sense and its a beloved IP by many.
This is only one bit off land that they have brought there is another chuck about the same size for yet another park
Good luck keeping those palm trees alive in the UK climate lmao 🤣
I do have to say I feel a bit deflated, I've been to the Hollywood Park so this is nothing new!
I’m really hoping with any future expansion they add these three main lands:
1.) A Harry Potter themed land but instead of it being the Hogwarts castle and Hogsmead, they make the British ministry of magic instead like the one from Epic universe but with a change. Ofc replacing the French themed area to a UK one. I mean it just makes sense for this to happen. Also if they could fit a Diagon alley as the main shopping venue for this Harry Potter themed area, it would be amazing and again just makes sense.
2.) A LOTR/Hobbit themed land to make this park a truly unique universal park. Maybe for LOTR they build a Rivendell/Shite or if they choose the Hobbit, they build Erebor, I could definitely see a ride involving a huge dragon like Smaug being a big hit.
3.) A Super Nintendo world would be a fantastic addition to add but instead of making it Mario themed like all the others maybe go a different route and do Pokemon or Legends of Zelda instead to make this park even more unique.
These three additions will make this park a truly unique Universal theme park and maybe make it the best of them all 👀
Screw universal studios great britain
Universal is not going t let Disney have a break. LMAO. At this point, I think Disney's best chance to compete against all of this is a new park.
Apart from the mystery land replacing the Wizarding World, the rest of the concept art is fairly straightforward. As a the park is pretty much a near-replica of Beijing. Though, Universal needs to lower their expectations for opening attendance. It took over three years for Beijing to begin reaching the original estimate, and that is a much larger market. On top of that, Universal’s IPs are not very popular in Europe.
The live stunt show is heavily rumored to be 007, hopefully not a Hollywood clone. Excited for the construction vids to start.
This is going to ruin the European theme park market.
Great video. I love how much you've been able to spot from the concept art. I think Back To The Future would be a great addition and something unique for Universal GB.
I can’t wait for possible new announcements this Saturday for DLP
In my opinion if they gave that much to Jurassic world that would be a great shame. Why copy stuff that's in lots of over parks. They could make Oz land. Green defying gravity ride. Imagine the yellow brick road, emerald city. It would be a real competition to Disneyland's parks
UniStu owns the IP for Beetlejuice and Ghostbusters – these would make for fabulous indoor Dark rides and would be unique to UniStuGB. I wouldn't want to see Clones from other parks; that's what Disney does just to save money on Imagineering, and UniStu have surpassed Disney IMO
UK might not be the smartest option as it's no longer part of the EU which means all EU travelers will require a VISA and international passport to enter, raising the price of a visit significantly.
Looks like universal is finally using their scrapped UK idea
Universal United Kingdom or Universal London right? It’s not like they call Universal Japan/Osaka ‘Universal Honshu’! Lol
They MUST think BIG from the very first beginning. If not this could become their next Port Aventura failure. Dont forget, to operate this profitable you need European guests, UK alone won´t do it talking about numbers. Today you need a UK ETA document to get into the country which costs time and money. So if the park will only offer "some" attractions, why go back with all the exceptional amusement parks we have around Europe you can visit in Schengen-Zone? This MUST be "Go BIG or go home". Easy as that
While I’m not entirely sure if this is in consideration or not, but I’d be surprised if Super Nintendo World doesn’t end up as part of this resort. Considering its success in Japan, Hollywood, and the upcoming Epic Universe, I’d be shocked if its addition isn’t at least on the table.
