Walk in Japanese Town – Ikawa, Tokushima #shorts
I took this video on Monday, December 4, 2023.
This town, Ikawa, is in the western part of Tokushima Prefecture, Japan.
Tobacco cultivation flourished in the old days, and the tobacco industry prospered about 120 years ago.
Today, merchant houses from those days remain.
These buildings are characterized by having firewalls called “udatsu” on their roofs.
