Odakyu Department Store Vanishes! Shinjuku Redevelopment Walking Tour [4K/HDR/Binaural]
The west side of JR Shinjuku Station has changed dramatically—the Odakyu Department Store that once stood here is now completely gone! I’m starting today’s walk right in front of the massive construction site before strolling through the familiar streets of Shinjuku. Inside the site, there are these huge objects that look like tree logs, and their size is just unbelievable. I have no idea what they’re for, so if you happen to know, let me know in the comments below!

Many thanks for the great video. I do think the tree logs will eventually be like "living walls" as one of them is covered in plants. I can't wait to see how the redevelopment progresses!

I was there October last year. They had farewell posters in the station saying something like they have been there for 2 or 3 decades shaping Tokyo fashion and whatnot. End of an era.
