Lake Toya Sunrise, Toyako Onsen Virtual Tour (4K)
My original thought had been to record an hour or so of footage looking across the lake and condense it into a time-lapse, but the wind ripples on the lake looked completely bonkers when sped up more than double. So here I picked out some of the highlight segments, and have weaved in some of the photos that I was taken during the recording of the various light shifts across the scenery.
Also gave me the opportunity to include highlights of the walk I took around the village afterwards, before things opened and got too busy, and before I had to check out. Would probably have been good for me to stay an extra night there and actually take some time to relax – or more likely, take a trip out to the island to walk around. Instead, this was the start of another long travel day, heading onwards to Sapporo – that video will be next.
