タイ北部の暮らし 🇹🇭 パン・ウンとメーホンソン

Let’s enjoy another adventure in Northern Thailand, this time exploring the incredible province of Mae Hon Son.

Starting my day at the cozy Nunga Homestay in Pang Mapha, I set off on the final ride with Zelda through the stunning mountains of Northern Thailand. My first stop was Dekdoi Delicious Noodles, a charming eatery perched on a hillside with a view that stretched across the valley. The flavorful bowl of noodles, combined with the breathtaking scenery, created the perfect start to the day—a simple yet unforgettable moment that reminds me why I love traveling through this region.

Next, I made my way to the Coral Cave (Tham Pla Harn), a hidden gem near Pang Mapha. Exploring its fascinating limestone formations with a local guide felt like stepping into another world. Afterward, I rode further into the mountains, arriving at the tranquil Pang Ung Lake just in time for sunset. Often called the “Switzerland of Thailand,” this serene spot felt like a dream as I watched the reflections of the pine trees dance on the water. The following morning, I glided across the misty lake on a bamboo raft, soaking in the peaceful beauty of the moment.

The journey continued to Mae Hong Son, where I stopped at the iconic Su Tong Pie Bridge, a stunning bamboo walkway surrounded by lush rice fields. Before arriving at the B2 Premier Hotel, I visited a temple viewpoint overlooking the city, offering panoramic views of Mae Hong Son’s charming landscapes. This final ride was an emotional yet perfect way to say goodbye to Zelda, filled with incredible stops, serene moments, and the beauty of Northern Thailand’s winding roads.

  1. Mixed emotions this week but hey that’s life when you revisit some places. Still had a blast and I will still go back year after year ❤

  2. Another out standing video, we just love watching your videos. Such a beautiful place. Keep up the great entertainment rooster. From Brisbane

  3. Fantastic views too wake upto Paddy. Lucky you had a torch and a guide to go down that cave.
That camping area looks excellent would be nice to spend a few days there I think.
What a beautiful spot on the lake. It makes a huge difference with some water around.
I have to say Mae Hong Song was one of my favourite places to visit. Just love the vibe there. Apparently that was where all the naught politicians were sent when they miss behaved, not sure if there's any truth to that or not.
    Cheers Paddy

  4. Hey paddy thanks for the awesome video about MHS and Pang Ung! Mae Hong Son province is my all time fav province in Thailand! The town is absolutely gorgeous. Went there last year in August. If your fav restaurants are crossroads and Salween River restaurant than I have to inform you regarding them. Crossroads unfortunately had to close down due to COVID. Salween River restaurant still exists but had to move the location. Went to their new location last august everyday during our stay in MHS for 5 days 🎉. The quality and taste of their food is still unbelievably good. 😊

  5. We love your down to earth, unflashy account of things, so we really know what to expect. Very helpful. Thank you

  6. Hi Paddy just wanted to say thankyou for this series. Northern Thailand is my favorite place in Thailand, and i was waiting a long time for a series like this. It filled me up with inspirations for the near future for me and my family. Ans you did an amazing series again. it was a dream to watch. And hopefully that you want to organize a roadtrip in the North with some subcribers in the future;) ❤

  7. Having never considered a road trip around the northern area of Thailand, you have converted us to make this our priority for 2025!
Thank you for making us feel like we are there with you and such wonderful visionary.

  8. Great video paddy every one just gets better. I look forward to these every week, keep up the good work

  9. Excellent, stunning and beautiful, wish i was there with you. One day i will be there, thank you for the great video. 👌

  10. Beautiful Vlog Paddy my favorite part of Thailand as my family are in Hyduer in Maehongson i was worried for you in that cave in case you needed rescuing and sent to see Manchester United play a game

  11. Nothing beats the freedom of the road my friend. Maybe catch up with you later on Samui or thereabouts in March. 😊

  12. I been with you all the time since you started your travels on dreamy visiting every province
and I still enjoy your videos I think your success is down to your personality and keeping it simple

  13. Fantastic video. I am in Chiang Mai at present and we have been to Chiang Dao. I made the mistake of attempting the ‘Scenic route’ from Chiang Dao to Pai, after one water crossing, lots of nasty noises from under the car from rocks down smaller and smaller dirt tracks and then another water crossing that I decided would be a stupid move in a hire car I could ill afford to wreck, I looked for another way but after a further 30 minutes of roads more suitable for a rally stage, I was hopelessly lost and drove all the way back to Chiang Dao, so after 4 hours I had not gone anywhere but used half a tank of fuel doing so. Then our hotel in Pai, cancelled my room as they were full. Quite the day!

  14. I went there Pang Oong mid Feb. last year it was beautiful but unfortunately too smoky I had to leave. Hope it's better this year.

  15. I was at Ban Jabo last year for food I think I recognized it. Great video. Some great spots.

  16. Paddy you have inspired so many people (including me) to travel to Thailand for a holiday or move there permanently. I find your videos so relaxing to watch and entertaining obviously, thanks for all your hard work putting it all together.

  17. Hey Paddy, these videos have really made me excited for my upcoming trip to SEA, I will be arriving the 18th of February, do you think I should skip northern Thailand because of the smog? Have a nice day 🙂

  18. Thank you for this Paddy. This is the thailand that I love. I need to get my adventure spirit back and confidence. Excellent filming and commentary. Thank you. 🙏 temples are my peacefull places.
