  1. if you have time go to some of the smaller island if you just like to wonder the one I went to there was not a lot on the island but its was peaceful and a nice boat ride out there

  2. We were stationed in Okinawa in the early 90’s. We absolutely loved it. Thank you for the beautiful reminders. Love your channel.

  3. Greetings from Laos. I usually go to Hawaii for my beach vacation. We don't have a coastline in my country. But recently, I've been going to Okinawa. It's closer to Laos.

  4. My dad was in the Army in the early 70s and brought my mother and me to live there in Okinawa. At two years old, I was too young to have real memories, but the stories are great. Apparently our neighbor Michiko would take me shopping with her, and taught me to say in Japanese, "How much? Too much!" I was her secret weapon for haggling. Also, Mich's family had a soba shop, so I learned to love soba from early on. I would really love to visit Okinawa.

  5. These are not 10 hidden Gems They are hidden Diamonds !
I actually would like to check out that Salt Factory/Museum.
Ocean salt is better for you than land-based salt which is basically fossilized and dead.

  6. Fukushuen park has a beautiful tea shop attached, the walls and ceiling are decorated with kimono fabric covered panels, very photogenic 🙂

  7. I love those old shotengai! You can find such great things there. And prices are reasonable usually.

  8. Will definitely add the Naha gems to our itinerary. I’m afraid to drive on the left side of the road so we will likely stay in Naha. Love the options you have provided!

  9. When we lived in Okinawa, my favorite places that you mentioned were the caves and the north side of the island. If I had it to do all over again, I would love to live in Nago. The convenience of a big town, the beautiful nature and close to some of my favorite hiking and snorkeling areas.

  10. hey mate can you please make a video of dotonburi restaurant in Naha seafood market. A place where I started my career as a dishwasher and become something. could you also look for Yoshimi san (obachan) and tell her I miss her so much ( Rakesh from nepal)

  11. I love watching you both from Las Vegas. Japanese food is my favorite food. You never fail to make me hungry.

  12. Grew up in Okinawa near Shuri. Love that you added the old road to Shuri Gate! Reminded me of riding my bike through town as a kid! Thanks for the video… Warms my heart! ❤

  13. I remember being on Okinawa for the first time and driving on the bridge and seeing people beneath playing in the water thinking no way there’s a beach down there on my way to the Parco 💀
