Exploring the Chiba coast #chiba #千葉 #japan #travel

Q: What’s my advice for visitors to Tokyo looking for an adventure off the beaten path?
A: Check out the nearby Chiba coastline!

Here you’ll find countless hidden gems, like local temples and shrines, historic monuments, and stunning scenery right beside the Pacific Ocean. Some spots are more accessible than others, so please always exercise caution when exploring. Below are the six locations that appear in this video, with Google Maps Plus Codes:

① Opening clip:
Iizuna Shrine 飯縄神社
69FW+VH Isumi, Chiba

② Red seaside temple with jizo statues:
Iwafunejizoson 岩船地蔵尊
695V+25 Isumi, Chiba

③ Cliffside View Point:
伝説 七十五座漂着の地
692R+9C Isumi, Chiba
⚠️ Simply enjoy the view, do NOT try to climb down the cliff!

④ Ohazuki Coast
大波月海岸
59HF+Q5 Onjuku, Chiba
⚠️ The cave shown in this video is only exposed at low tide, and the rock surfaces around it can be extremely unstable and slippery. Never visit this location alone and never walk on wet surfaces where waves can reach at any moment. The ocean currents can be extremely strong, and you should never swim outside designated areas or put yourself at risk of falling into the ocean. If you are unsure where it is safe or not to enter, always err on the side of caution. There’s a trail that leads you from the road to the sea through a grassy area, and we recommend not straying from that trail.

⑤ Memorial tower and statue:
Mexico Memorial Park メキシコ記念公園
59J9+J6 Onjuku, Chiba

⑥ Onjuku Beach and Desert Moon Memorial Statue:
御宿町 中央海水浴場
59M3+3X Onjuku, Chiba
