“Ishikiri Sanmyaku” in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture is one of the largest quarries in Japan. Stones were used for Tokyo Station and the National Diet Building. It is closed now, and rainwater collects in a hole dug down to 65m underground and becomes a lake. So it’s known as the “Unmapped Lake”.
