Yo guys, @pie_aerts signing off. In the end of our trip we went for our first walking safari in Big-5-territory and bumping into Elephants bare-foot without sitting in a vehicle is absolutely nuts.
It puts you in mental state of being I haven’t experienced before. A prehistoric sense of alertness.
I hope you liked my little mini version of our African adventure. I hope it raised awareness in some way about the way we threat our planet.
One thing I learned from it is that growing up in the West, understanding the strong connection between humans, animals and nature isn’t one of the first things one learns. This trip to Botswana made me realise that’s a very, very big shame.
