Walk in Japanese Town – Ikeda, Tokushima #shorts

I took this video on Monday, December 4, 2023.

This town, Ikeda, is in the western part of Tokushima Prefecture, Japan.
In the old days, tobacco cultivation was popular, and the tobacco industry prospered greatly about 120 years ago.
Even today, many merchant houses from those days have been preserved.
These buildings are well known for having firewalls called “udatsu” on their roofs.
