Nice
My Fantasyland ideas (This one is shorter and not as good as my Discoveryland ideas though)
1: Re theme the carousel to Cinderella’s Carriage Carousel where you either sit in Cinderella’s horses or Cinderella’s carriage
2: Behind the railroad there will be a hunchback of Notre dame trackless dark ride with scenes from the movie
Hi Mr MSN (idk what to call you)! I completely loved the first video. You have so much ideas and I really have a great time watching these videos that are the fruit of your imagination (as well as your other videos). I like to imagine new lands/ attractions/ entertainment myself for Disneyland Paris which is such a promising resort. I also like imagining a brand new resort myself, it stimulates my own creativity even though, sometimes, I lack inspiration… 😅 Anyway, just thanks for this series of videos which are truly very interesting and inspiring! ❤️✨
PS: excuse me if my English is dubious… Have a nice weekend! 🎄
Really like some of these ideas. Though, I do think a unique version “Indiana Jones Adventure” dark ride would be in Adventureland. It is one of the best rides imagineering ever designed, and would complement your “Moana” attraction idea very well.
Your Villains idea is very similar to what I hope will happen at Magic Kingdom. Except, I thought that boat ride tech should be themed to the River Styx in the Greek Underworld. Though, I suspect Disney is actually going to use a trackless ride system. Since, the Shanghai Pirates system is rumored for “Avatar” at Disney California Adventure with an exclusivity clause to James Cameron. That said, Villains Land would complement Sleeping Beauty Castle and bring back that trill Disneyland Paris was initially designed to have.
These ideas sound great!! I personally would've loved to see the Country Bear Jamboree fit in Frontierland somewhere, but overall I am down for all your changes and additions!
Love how you really hope for a Villains Land in the Paris park. It would be a total hit with the European clientele. 👌🏽
These are all great additions to Disneyland Paris! I especially loved the Villain's Land. I hope some of your ideas become part of the Magic Kingdom theme park. I had ideas for including Coco, Encanto, and Tiana in Disneyland Paris' Adventureland and Frontierland. If your third gate is what I think it’s going to be, then these IPs might make for a good home for it.
Can you look up the G lock ride? That is what I want to see Ursula become.
And a Mickey Mouse land should have Runaway Railway, Donald Duck’s Swinging Ship, Silly Symphony Swings, Goofy Barnstormer, and Mickey’s Fun Wheel.
I would love a villains land at Disneyland Paris. And a Star Wars land too 😊😊
DISNEY! Hire this man!
Instead of the Sunken Treasure tech may I suggest a hybrid tech using the Aquatopia tech (meaning trackless vehicles on water) with Beauty and the Beast vehicles of 10 pax.
I basically agree with everything in these videos so far re-the main park except some aspects of Adventureland. I feel like there should be a version of The Jungle Cruise since it feels like the most obvious admission on classic Disney attractions in Paris. I’d feel like the original concept of the indoor version alongside the more complex Indiana Jones coaster would work wonders here, but the language barrier could be an issue. Speaking of that, like someone commented re-the Country Bear Jamboree, I’d feel like a version of the Tiki Room would be cool to have an animatronic show, but I’d wonder how the European stereotypes would work here. Conflicted on the Adventure Isle continuous changes for the main reason of it may distract from the core-elements, but I wouldn’t be against it.
For the other lands, I basically agree with everything with maybe the exceptions of Autopia which is 70% leaning towards the Aquatopia but I would miss the vibrant colours of the cars and aesthetics it brings to the land and the fact it feels like a classic since it’s based on an opening day Disneyland attraction, but I would feel Aquatopia would be a better ride and if it was implemented, it should have the colours of Autopia. Finally, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea would be really cool but I’m mixed on taking out what once was the best walkthrough in Paris, since one thing I like about Paris is how it’s not just big rides but the walkthroughs instead. However, given its recent updates and downgrades, 20,000 Leagues would definitely be better, especially if it means the return of the giant squid. I would say (which would still be a problem with) to have Journey to the Centre of the Earth if the Aquatopia idea had gone through, but that would most likely mean the demolishing of the Nautilus given that’s wheee the show building is, so if you wanted to add a new ride the 20,000 Leagues idea would be better, especially given the removal of the creepy atmosphere from it, though I feel there should be steps to make sure the creepy atmosphere is an aspect of the ride.
Finally, I would want Tower of Terror to stay in the second park. Best ride there; especially in its original form which I’d bring back since it has more suspense and fits better with the pre-show. The Marvel section kind of ruined this, but if it was up for I would have returned Aerosmith to Daft Punk and have the building more similar to early concept art. For Disney Village, I’d keep Rainforest which is potentially realistically going but I’m still holding out. Is it the best restaurant, probably not. Is it the most epic, yes since it has monkeys. Can’t wait for the next part of the series.
Pls do one with the Asian parks- Hong Kong, Tokyo or Shanghai
Please?
I figured this side of the park would be harder to find issue with, and I was right. Spectacular call with Fantasmic. While I would need a cost analysis to decide if all the boat attractions are worthwhile, this idea should be fast-tracked. With all the problems the shows have been having here – the dragon catching on fire in Anaheim, the boats crashing in Orlando – they maybe need to come up with a safer version. One that can happen BEFORE sunset.
You put Moana here instead of Fantasyland, where I put her, and she's fine in either place. And I like your ideas; I just don't see them happening. They have plans for a Moana version of the Shanghai Pirates ride for MK's Adventureland. So if that's a go in the States, then it's far more likely to happen here. That said, the ride system is also going to be used for the second Pandora land. If it's a hit, it very well could end up going into Animal Kingdom – I think that's why the Moana ride didn't get announced at D23 like many thought it would. Even if Moana doesn't end up with that ride system, I don't think she'd end up in a rapids ride. It's not terribly thematic since the whole first movie was about boats. She'd get a boat ride. With the songs. That's non-negotiable. So it'll be a "book report" ride. With boats. Boats boats boats!
I still love your ideas, though, and didn't know about those attractions in Shanghai. So, keeping the Bob Iger Hat of Cheapness on my head, I'd keep the Indy coaster and add your ideas, but with Indy themes. We don't need yet ANOTHER Indiana Jones and the Temple of Blank simulator ride, especially in a park that needs originals, so these attractions are a go with that retheme. (Those Challenge Trails are practically Indy-themed already!)
Love your idea for moving the Flying Carpets ride, as it just doesn't fit next door. It's between the upcoming "Broadway/West End" area (which will look NOTHING like either place) and Worlds of Pixar. I thought they'd retheme it or move it to Adventure Way, but your idea is better. Yeah, three spinners in one park, but honestly with the flat rides in the Studios park. Get at least one of them out of there!
Great idea with the Phantom Manor "Scare-age House" eatery. Put some of this effort into the dining black hole that is "Disney Adventure World". PLEASE!
My only real issue here is with the Villains Land. Yeah, it was you playing around, but the concepts are solid and inventive. I just think the entire idea is just too costly here, especially after many of the costly options you've already proposed. It's way better as an anchor for the third gate, which you know will be thrown together as cheaply as possible so Disney can fulfill its contract with the government. (Remind you of another park???) Honestly, with how huge Moana is, I'd save that for the third park as well. And Avatar. (Paris DisneySea???) But let's not get ahead of ourselves here (have to wait to see what you've got in store for that third gate…). If we take in everything else you've proposed, Fantasmic and the rapids ride may be the two most-expensive projects you've got (if you eliminate 20,000 Leagues, then they definitely are). Getting them "approved" would be challenging enough without the even-more-costly Villains Land, though it would be a good thing to present to Iger as he would immediately cut it and feel big and bad about doing so, increasing the odds of the other ideas making the cut.
You've done a really good job creating this in a simulated real-world scenario. Other armchair Imagineers would just add 20 E-Tickets and claim they saved the park. Or they'd just plant clones of existing rides, which I don't think is what this park needs. It needs something to make it a destination. "It's pretty" is just not enough. Something like the proposed Lion King ride next door. Your "Rise of the Jedis" idea reaches that level. (As does my Speeder Bike coaster idea.) The rapids ride COULD rise to that level as well, if done right. And your Villains Land idea… for the third park!
Omg I love your idea of villains land , tbh I would totally watch your one hour video explaining each villains room cause I really want to hear your ideas 😭
Disappointed no Mickey and Minnie’s runaway Railway in either video 😮
Love your ideas ❤❤
I really like the placements of the locations even if some of the choices aren't my ideal.
I think the entire Villains land concept sucks even in Florida, they are already well represented in other attractions, they meet and greet all the time, Europeans don't even like Halloween. They would be much better off turning it into Christmas and Halloween town from the Nightmare before Christmas.
While I expect a Moana attraction, a rafting ride Im not sure is the best considering the weather conditions the park finds itself in. Honestly Im surprised they are building a water ride with the Lion king at all.
Man, you should be working at #disneyland #Paris #imagineering ❤
Villainous River Voyage sounds great. I dont think Maui's Simi-God Trails would be a hit, considering it is not a hit in Shanghai. I saw BlueSky artwork for a Moana land that had an aerial carousel flat ride over water, based on a Polynesian Outrigger Canoe. I think that would be a better fit.
If I were in charge, I would turn Adventureland into Treasure Cove and have everything themed on a Pirate Carribean Island. I would get rid of Swiss Family Treehouse and have a large lagoon in the centre of the land with two full-scale pirate ships that would set the stage for a day & night live-action stunt show – think along the lines of Waterworld at UniStudios. Where Tempril of Peril is, I would demolish and have a Splash Mountain concept ride themed on Battle for the Sunken Treasure. Sure, some of the scenes and story would need to change, but there's no reason why these two concepts cannot be combined. Lastly, I would change many scenes and animatronics in Pirates so they were more 'interactive' with the guests. There is a lot of dead space in that ride and it should have many more cheeky pirate scenes for amusement.
For Frontierland, the Playground is a waste of good space. There's room there for a partially underground Drop Tower based on an oil well – think along the lines of, There Will Be Blood; I would call it Drilling For Oil. And to compliment a second rollercoaster ride but different to Thunder (which I think is perfect) I would have a semi-enclosed Mine Cart Ride rattling through gold mine shafts – I would call this Digging For Gold. The Haunted Mansion story is not well-themed for the 19th-century Wild West. I would like to see any story based on this time period. Lastly, the lion kind show (you didn't mention this, did you forget it?) it is not very good and poorly themed. How about a show based on a train robbery but with Mickey Mouse characters? Imagine Black Pete trying to steal money from a train and Sheriff Mickey and Goofy to the rescue… my kids would love it.
Love these ideas! For a villains ride, I hope there's a "pull the lever, Kronk" scene at the start
2:34 I like your idea of bringing the Indian Canoes back to the park, this time to Adventureland. 💖 Pirate themed?
3:55 Yep, Flying Carpets absolutely needs to be moved over to Adventureland. 🙌
4:48 Yes, Temple of Peril needs to finally go. 👋 It's uncomfortable to ride and not up to Disney's standards.
