京都・嵐山から3駅の場所にある亀岡地方随一の紅葉の名所、「鍬山神社」って知ってますか？嵐山の観光客の多さに疲れたら、少し足を伸ばして嵐山地区より一足早い紅葉狩りを楽しんでみてください！
神社の敷地は20分もあれば散策できる程度の広さですが、紅葉が池に映る美しい景色や、可愛いサイズの塔、立派な建造物など見どころ満載！スマホが手から離せなくなるくらい、写真映えスポットがたくさんありました。
訪れた日は、まさに紅葉真っ盛り！晴天にも恵まれ、今年最初の紅葉狩りを存分に楽しめました🍁11月25日までは入場料300円が必要ですが、それ以上の価値ありです✨
アクセス情報
* 最寄駅: JR亀岡駅
* 駅から神社まではコミュニティバス（10分・150円）がおすすめ！交通系ICカード対応で便利♪

バスの時間が合わない場合は、レンタサイクルも良い選択！15分ほどのサイクリングで、料金は2時間700円から。徒歩の場合は3km（約50分）かかるのであまりおすすめしません💦
最近では外国人観光客にも徐々に知られてきたようで、私が訪れたときはアジア系から欧米系まで外国人の方が日本人より多い印象でした！嵐山より静かな雰囲気の中で紅葉を満喫できる鍬山神社。今年の秋、ぜひ訪れてみてください🍂

Did you know that Kuwayama Shrine, one of the best spots for autumn foliage in Kameoka, is just three stops away from Kyoto’s Arashiyama?
If you’re tired of the crowds in Arashiyama, why not venture out a little and enjoy an earlier autumn foliage experience in this peaceful area?
The shrine grounds are compact, taking only about 20 minutes to explore, but they’re packed with stunning sights. From the vibrant autumn leaves reflecting in the pond to the charmingly small tower and impressive architecture, there’s so much to see. I couldn’t put my phone down with so many picturesque spots to capture!
When I visited, the foliage was at its peak, and the sunny weather made it the perfect day to enjoy my first autumn outing of this year🍁. An entrance fee of 300 yen is required until November 25th, but it’s absolutely worth it✨.
Access Information
* Nearest station: JR Kameoka Station
* From the station, take a community bus to the shrine (10 minutes, 150 yen). It’s super convenient as it accepts IC cards!
* If the bus schedule doesn’t work for you, renting a bicycle is another great option. It’s a 15-minute ride, and rentals start at 700 yen for two hours.
* Walking is not recommended since it’s a 3 km (50-minute) walk💦.
Recently, it seems this hidden gem is becoming more popular among international tourists. When I visited, there were more foreign visitors—ranging from Asian to Western tourists—than Japanese!
