Speaking strictly as a Westerner I never had problem ordering gyoza as a main dish (with salad, rice, and miso), nor ordering ramen without gyoza (too filling – have you seen the size of the ramen bowl?). I love the varieties of gyoza available in Japan wish we had those here. I noticed your friend eats pork based Fukuoka style ramen (kontentsu?), which is my favorite – yours too? Great videos, I have visited Japan a dozen or so times and I find your coverage illuminating and spot on.
