Walking Rolling Hills of Wazuka Tea Village on Summer Afternoon | Kyoto, Japan 4K Rural Ambience
Wazuka is a town in southern Kyoto famous for tea. There are a number of beautiful tea fields on rolling hills spread throughout the area. I had planned on walking in a big loop around the village, but as it’s mid-summer, the trail along the river was overgrown so I walked back up the hill and through the village as dusk approached. The Wazuka area is somewhat of a tourist attraction and it is the first area I have been to where it is not possible to walk on the access roads alongside the fields. Even from the main roads the tea fields and their green rows are quite nice next to the traditional rustic buildings. I hope you enjoy this hot summer walk through one of Japan’s most beautiful villages.

I like the well pruned tea rows that make the hillsides and the fields look so neat and beautiful. It's interesting to know that this town produces one of the best teas in Japan. Too bad dan dan cafe' is closed, one could enjoy a cup of coffee or…tea and relax in its patio overlooking a spectacular view. The walk is mostly uphill but the downhill parts and the views at every corner seem to compensate for your effort. Thank you.

As you filming the side of the house where the wood is stacked, just a little way into the filming, you pan up the hillside past a white vehicle up to a very large dwelling and as you get to the end of the wood pile past the gas bottles, that beautiful trilling rippling sound is a ‘Golden Oriel ‘ bird. They are bright yellow and the beautiful trilling is wonderful to hear. They are shy birds so lucky you hearing such wondrous songs! Fantastic !! ☺️☺️🙏🏻
