【失われつつある貴重な風景を見事に保存】江戸東京たてもの園(Edo Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum)【Nostalgic Japanese buildings】
江戸東京たてもの園は東京都小金井市にある小金井公園にある野外博物館です。
街中では次第に失われつつある貴重な風景、建物がここでは見事に保存されています。
Edo Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum is an open-air museum located in Koganei Park in Koganei City, Tokyo.
The precious scenery and buildings that are gradually being lost in the city are beautifully preserved here.
小金井公園はJR中央線武蔵小金井駅、東小金井駅、西武新宿線花小金井駅からバスで５、６分の距離にあります。公園の敷地内は非常に広く、緑豊かな自然に溢れています。
江戸時代から昭和初期までの現地保存が難しい文化的価値の高い歴史的建造物の移築・復元が行われ、園内に保存・展示されています。
現在は３０棟の復元建造物の他、様々な屋外展示物があり、屋内でも企画展示が行われています。
園内にはその他にもミュージアムショップや図書コーナーがある他、復元建造物内にある店舗にて喫茶・食事を楽しむことができます。
Koganei Park is a 5-6 minute bus ride from Musashi-Koganei Station and Higashi-Koganei Station on the JR Chuo Line, or Hana-Koganei Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.
The park grounds are very large and filled with lush nature.
Historical buildings of high cultural value from the Edo period to the early Showa period that are difficult to preserve on-site have been relocated and restored, and are preserved and displayed within the park.
Currently, there are 30 restored buildings as well as a variety of outdoor exhibits, and special exhibitions are held indoors as well.
The park also has a museum shop and library corner, and you can enjoy cafes and meals at the shops located within the restored buildings.
また、園内にある幾つかの復元建造物や園内の様子は第75回アカデミー賞長編アニメーション映画部門を受賞した「千と千尋の神隠し」のイメージの一つとして有名です。武居三省堂は文具店ですが、店内の様子は「釜爺の仕事場（ボイラー室）」の雰囲気があり、壁面にぎっしりと並ぶ引き出しは圧巻です。また子宝湯は贅沢な佇まいの銭湯ですが、いくつかある「油屋」のモデルの一つと言われています。その他にも映画に登場する場面を感じることができる場所があります。
映画のモデルとなった場所の他にも様々な魅力ある建物がたくさんありますので、興味を持たれた方は是非、園内を散策し、ご自分の目で確かめてみて下さい。
Additionally, some of the restored buildings and the interior of the park are famous as one of the images from “Spirited Away,” which won the 75th Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Sanshodo is a stationery store, but the interior has the atmosphere of “Kamaji’s Workplace (boiler room),” and the drawers lined up tightly on the walls are a highlight. Kodakara-yu is a luxurious public bathhouse, and is said to be one of the models for several “Aburaya” bathhouses. There are other places where you can feel like you’re in a scene from the movie.
In addition to the places that served as models for the movie, there are many other fascinating buildings, so if you’re interested, be sure to take a stroll around the park and see for yourself.
江戸東京たてもの園のマスコットキャラクター「えどまる」は宮崎駿監督ご自身により制作されました。
The mascot character of the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Edomaru, was created by director Hayao Miyazaki himself.
