I lived in Shinjuku for over 1 year but never visited Joenji 😅 definitely have to visit it the next time in Tokyo!
There is another nice shrine close to Shinjuku called Hanazono-jinja and next to Hanazono-jinja is a Japanese language school called Genkijacs (Genki Japanese and Culture School Tokyo). One of their classrooms on the higher floors has a perfect view on the shrine with the cherry blossoms in Spring if anyone wants to study Japanese in Tokyo in Spring 😉

There is not a lot of people around which felt nice ! I don't know if it was because of the weather but the scenery looked just as good as if it was sunny i just hope it wasn't too cold 😁. Or maybe it's due to the location of おだいば ? I just looked and it's some sort of peninsula so maybe people don't go here as much. Anyway thanks for the tour ! The metropolis is so big with hidden places everywhere 🤩. What would you say are your favorite neighbourhoods ?
