Thanks so much for watching! Watch until the end to find out our future plans and if they involve more time in China!? Have you visited or do you plan to in the future?
I disagree at 34:38, filming conversation between tourists and locals ACTUALLY brings out the beauty of people-to-people exchange.
This is what president Xi Jinping said that more people-to-people exchange will make friendships flourish – that is the way to see the REAL CHINA !
Chinese people are always friendly.

The great thing about traveling is to get out of the bubble and see the world as it as with your own eyes. You will learn to have an open mind, to respect and to understand. Only then can you break the barrier, the framing, the narrative, the imprints and bias, and be truly free. ❤
Taipei or Taiwan it’s China 🇨🇳 wlc China 🇨🇳 ❤️🩹💐
I don't think people could not bring a bible into China three decades ago, nor only small group of religious people would be allowed to practice, my homecity is heavily Buddhaism influenced, but also got few churches in it, often we can see lots of Christians go to churches on weekend, same happens to northwestern or southwestern regions that have millions of Muslims as they practice.
Just remain your western countries. Chinese food is cancerous. Chinese culture is backward and very inferior. It is so unsafe so much oppression. Communist evil. So much genocide highly polluted and so dirty backward poor nation. Such a backward country
Go to America paradise on earth unlike evil China. Hell on earth worse than Gaza
We accept most religious practices except those controlled or funded by the U.S. government
But individual freedom cannot override public order, and what kind of freedom can there be if one's life and property cannot be guaranteed
There are many people in China. It is nonsense to say that China monitors everyone. China does not have so many manpower to do this kind of thing. Cameras are used for crime prevention and crime evidence collection. If you observe carefully, you will find the traffic flow and The more people flow in a place, the more cameras there are
In fact, most of what you see are security guards, some are from private companies, and some are hired by the government for scenic spots. The police will be more formally dressed and better equipped (more than 95% of the police do not carry guns)
In fact, the eyes of local people are more out of curiosity, especially older people. They have no ill intentions and just want to chat with you or take photos (after all, it is not common to see foreigners who speak different languages).
Welcome to China. Experience and see China for yourself. A lot of those who hate China have never been to China and know little about China. China is an open, diversified and vibrant place. You should come visit again.
Bloggers subconsciously still take away prejudice, some of the things you see are oriented speculation, but guess wrong, it is recommended that you have a chance to take a longer period of time, you will like it.
I'm a Hong Konger. Sometimes when I talked about the truth of China – my mother country – I was being asked " Are you paid by the CCP? 😆
So did you regret it?
For high-rise residences, escaping from fire exits and fire stars is safer than from the windows.
In fact, it is rare to see police officers in China. The uniformed personnel you generally see on the streets are usually security guards, traffic coordinators, and auxiliary police. They are not police officers. Most of the surveillance cameras on the streets are for monitoring traffic violations. These cameras are used to capture instances of speeding, illegal lane changes, honking, etc. Security checks in subways and high-speed trains are implemented to prevent bad actors from carrying knives, flammable, or explosive materials onto trains, ensuring the safety of passengers. In the end, I can only say that we are all ordinary people; no one is really paying attention to what we are doing. All these measures are in place to prevent bad things from happening, and I think that's a good thing.

Yes, only what you see is the most real! However, the Western media has always been hostile to China, which is a restriction on freedom.
1. China is an almost cashless society, with 99% of Chinese people using mobile phones to pay even for small shops. All you need to do is open ALIPAY, or get a mobile SIM card in China. You will find all the food, housing, transportation, shopping, all done with a mobile phone. The subway does not actually need to buy a ticket, and you can directly swipe a ticket on ALIPAY. China should be the most convenient country in the world for mobile payment.
2, China is now open to many countries 144-hour visa-free, travel is very convenient. The key is that the price in China is only one-sixth of that in Europe and the United States and other countries, very cheap, come to China and have a look. The people are very friendly, the city is clean and the food is delicious.
Thanks for sharing! Very interesting tourism experience, and I appreciate the fact that you are trying your best to be objective and open minded in your comments. I had a similar “duck killing”experience. When I was little I went to my hometown, a countryside village in China that was very underdeveloped, with my extended family. I saw my grandpa killing a duck by breaking its neck and draining the blood and that traumatized me (I already made friend with it several days before it happened). Growing up in downtown Beijing I have never seen such direct presentation of animal death my whole life, and I never liked it. However, there is a historical background to this. People from my grandparents’ generation were still starving and they were only able to eat meat maybe once a year. Livestocks were not seen as pets in anyways when people were literally starving to death; they were just food, period. Even nowadays in many less developed countryside areas of China, people still buy livestocks and kill them by themselves before cooking. Killing livestocks is part of their daily routine, and they don’t mind kids seeing it just like you wouldn’t prevent your kids from seeing you cutting meat. We, as people who grow up in big cities, enjoy the privileges of industrialized food chain and don’t have to do the dirty work ourselves, so we tend to be negatively shocked to see these killings; but it is in fact a very normal daily routine for any human in the pre-industrialization era, and still for a lot of people these days. Just want to give you a little insight regarding this incident, and wish you enjoy your future trips! Btw to those who keep denying in the comment section that many people were confined in their apartments during Covid lockdown, you should stop defending every action the government took. The government is not the country, although some propaganda tries to blur the difference. Criticizing your government helps it to become better, defending its every action does the opposite. Any patriots should be open in discussing the wrongdoings of their government (although I can testify that these window cages are simply for theft prevention; newer buildings do not have those anymore)
I don’t sense the existence of the cameras the western described. As most of the ordinary people think it is for the bad guy and protect us from violence.
American politicians say: The United States has the right to vote and democracy and freedom. The most unlucky Americans always live better than the Chinese. .
My English is not very good so I’ll explain it in Chinese:据我所知,在美国人民是没有屠宰权的,比如猪、鸡、鸭都必须是在屠宰场宰杀的,所以美国人可能很少看到宰杀动物的画面;而在中国法律里,屠宰权是在人民手中的,每个人都可以在家中宰杀牲畜。
I travelled last one month. Never seen the goose scenario.
Every country has its own culture and if you respect it then you will be welcomed by the locals. But if you use your own country as a standard to scrutinize it from above and make lengthy judgments about whether it conforms to your beliefs, then you can look elsewhere. There is an old Chinese saying that when in Rome, do as the Romans do. It is rude to go to someone else's place and complain that your beliefs are not followed there. If you come to China next time, I hope you will go there just to enjoy it and not to scrutinize it
