“I understand where cars came from, I understand where cars are today,” Jin Takemura says. “The Mirai is the future of the automobile personal conveyance. Plug-in electric vehicles are a necessary stepping stone. Hybrids are a necessary stepping stone. But the hydrogen fuel cell car is now the next revolution.” With the state of California funding hydrogen fueling stations and offering significant rebates, he’s optimistic that the state government and energy suppliers are finally working to improve the system. “That commitment will allow for more vehicles to be on the road.
