MUJIのキッチン家電もデザインしました。その形の考え方として、仮に一番左側に壁があり、一番右側に人間がいるとします。その一番左側の壁は四角くて、だんだん人間の身体に近づくにしたがって、ものは丸くなっていく。という概念を考えました。だから冷蔵庫は壁に近い方ですごく四角いけど、少し柔らかくなっている部分がある。その形の必然性―inevitableということを考えながら全体の形をデザインすることが重要です（深澤直人）。
I also designed MUJI kitchen appliances. We could, for example, conceptualize it like this: on the far left is the wall and on the far right is a person. The far left wall is squared and the objects gradually get rounder as they get closer to the person. So, while the refrigerator is squared due to it being closest to the wall, these parts of the microwave are slightly softer.
