Hello, this is SSUN TV’s Sun Couple’s world travel. Departing from Osaka today Approximately 1,200 years old in the north of Hyogo Prefecture, right next to Tottori Prefecture. Visit Yumura Hot Springs We plan to stay at the 4-star ryokan Asanoya. I had a good time at the Monterey Hotel and came to Osaka Station. Take the limited express Super Hakuto to Kurayoshi departing at 9:25. Go to Tottori Station the train is coming This train also looks different. In Japan, each train has a different shape, making riding it fun. Okay, the train has started. It takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes to get to Tottori Station. Run along the coast to Himeji After that, you have to cross the rugged mountain range to get to Tottori. As we pass through this area, heavy snow begins to fall. Heavy snow in March? Would you like to go see the snow for a while? As I passed through the alpine region, there was no snow at all. Arrived at Tottori Station This place is famous for its sand dune coast. Today I just ate lunch in front of the station. I’m going to leave for Yumura Onsen right away. I plan to go to Sagu when I return. I go to the market in front of the station to have lunch. Many places are closed, so it’s quiet and lonely. I entered the restaurant with the door open. After looking at the menu, I ordered raw fish set meal and crab meat rice bowl. This is crab meat rice bowl. This is a formal ceremony “15,000 won round meal “It’s a really good price.” I enjoyed it Return to Tottori Station and proceed to the next stop, Hamasaka Station. The express time is just right The Sun couple decides to take the limited express Hamakaze. It’s close to Hamasaka Approximately 45 minutes by local train It takes about 32 minutes by express train every day. Arrived at Hamasaka Station From here, it takes about 25 minutes by bus to Yumura Onsen. There are a lot of people going to Yumura Onsen. Arrived at Yumura Onsen I got off at the bus stop and walked a bit. I can see the Asanoya Ryokan where I will stay today. There is also an artificial waterfall in front of the main gate of the ryokan. It’s still before check-in time, so I left my bag. I decided to look around until check-in time. Go down the stairs to the right of the ryokan and look around the hot spring village. “It’s a town with a small hot spring atmosphere.” “It’s a place with a hot spring source.” “It’s a place where people bathe their feet and boil eggs in front of me.” “There are so many people because today is the weekend” “There are so many people” “It says to be careful that it’s hot.” “Oh, it’s a hot bath” “They said the temperature was 93℃.” “If it’s 93℃, I need to lower the temperature of the water to take a bath.” “This is how you eat eggs.” “The foot bath is not hot water.” Now it’s time and we return to the ryokan lobby. As I sat in the lobby and waited, they prepared wet towels and refreshments. Now, let’s go to the room. A slightly older looking staff member carried our bags and guided us around. “Souvenir shop, tea lounge” “Public hot spring bath is on the 2nd basement level” “Take the elevator to the first basement floor and walk down to the second basement floor.” Arrived at the room There is a vestibule When you open the door, you will find a large room with 12 tatami mats. If there is a refrigerator in every room, it is good to not hear any noise. The sink is located deep in the front room. There are two sinks and well-equipped amenities. There is a table and chairs on the veranda. A view overlooking the countryside Now I’m going to the hot springs Asanoya Ryokan has a total of 4 hot springs. High-temperature hot spring water of 98.4 degrees comes from the source. It naturally releases 430 liters per minute. The amount of water is so abundant that the ryokan is heated and cooled by hot spring heat. In addition, in order to maintain various components of hot spring water, Do not mix water with the source They say they use a method of gradually lowering the temperature of the hot spring water. Yumura Onsen’s high-temperature hot spring water Slightly alkaline containing sodium bicarbonate Dissolves and removes impurities in pores Makes skin soft, white, and smooth Known as ‘water for skin care’ There are many hot springs in Japan, but Of course, like Yumura Onsen, there is heating and cooling. It is really rare to find a hot spring that supplies hot spring water to the sink. I came to the public bath Well equipped with amenities There is only a clothes basket in the dressing room. This is the inner bath of the large public bath. It’s quite big and has many showers. This is an open-air bath. It is located in a beautiful garden. There is a large open-air bath and a separate open-air bath for one person. There is also a low-temperature sauna using geothermal heat in the basement. After taking a hot spring bath, I rested in my room and ate welcome snacks. I was going to the evening kaiseki place, but the staff came to pick me up. “Welcome to Yumura onsen!” It is beautifully prepared in advance in a separate, dedicated room. Turn off the lights for a moment and feel the candlelight atmosphere. A variety of cute appetizers. Baekju is an aperitif. What kind of snacks are given before the meal? It’s a food that doesn’t know what jelly is. It’s a vegetable stew served in a unique bowl. It’s so tantalizing, isn’t it? Still, I’m full after eating all the kaiseki. It’s sashimi Tsukiyaki is a meat dish. Whatever comes on the kaiseki menu I’m satisfied as long as the raw fish and meat dishes come out well. Chawanmushi with all kinds of seafood! This is the Sun couple’s favorite menu. This is a stewed fish menu mixed well with wasabi. Vegetables and fish wrapped in large leaves, grilled and topped with miso paste. Fried food is delicious no matter what you fry it with. Now it’s soup, side dishes, and rice. Green tea pudding topped with gold dust is served. Kaiseki at Asanoya here The menu has a decent number of choices and the taste is not bad. But above all, bring a translator. I’m really impressed by the staff trying their best to inform me. Take a break and enjoy a hot spring bath at night. It’s morning Breakfast is the same as the place where we had kaiseki yesterday. Breakfast is usually prepared in advance, but here, all I see is a wooden box. When you open the wooden box, there is food like this Hot tofu on the left, grilled fish on the right. There are egg dishes, and the table is set up like this. It was a delicious breakfast After resting a bit in the lobby lounge and looking around the concession stand and the lobby. Check out We also provide snacks to eat along the way. Now, take the bus at the bus stop right in front of the ryokan and go to Hamasaka Station. Approximately 1 hour by regular train from Hamasaka Station. Let’s go to Kinosaki Onsen, one of Kansai’s representative hot spring areas. The train to Kinosaki is a two-car ONE MAN train. Here, I’ll give you a quick tip on slow trains. “In Japan, there are times when you have to ride a two-car or one-car train like this.” “You have to be very careful when getting on and off this thing.” “Usually these trains are written here as slow trains.” “If it says slow train, you can get a ticket from the numbered ticket when you get on the back train.” “You can hand it to the front crew member of the car and get off.” “Usually, when you stop at a station and get off at a station where there is a station attendant, all the doors are open.” “If there is an unmanned station, the door behind it will not open.” “So make sure to go to the front where the flight attendant is.” “You have to get off.” “You have to be careful.” “A long time ago, when we were going to Mt. Aso, we stood at the back gate without knowing that.” “There was a time when I couldn’t get off and just passed by.” “I hope you all know that too.” The train has now left That’s all for today Next, I will return to the story of my time at Kinosaki Onsen. There is also a fun tour of the 7 hot springs in Kinosaki Onsen. Please look forward to it. thank you It’s been a world tour of SSUN TV’s Sun couple
