2024 盆栽まつり・新緑あふれる 氷川神社>大宮公園>盆栽町へ 祝100周年

I would like to start this year’s Bonsai Festival tour here at Hikawa Shrine! This is because there will be a magnificent bonsai display at the Hikawa Shrine to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Bonsai Village! Before that, let me show you the longest approach to Hikawa Shrine in Japan! About 420 zelkova trees, which are Saitama Prefecture’s trees, line the 2-km approach to the shrine. The sunlight spilling through those green leaves has brought us a very beautiful season! If you want to see the bonsai scene right now, please jump to the respective chapter. The traditional dumpling shops are famous, but recently cafes have also opened! The approach to the temple reflects the sunlight spilling through the leaves of the zelkova tree. It looks like stained glass created by nature. Please enjoy a walk along the Hikawa approach for a while. Torii gate is in sight. Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine is the headquarters of 280 Hikawa shrines in Saitama, Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefectures. The great palace, which is also the origin of the name of Omiya, indicates this Hikawa Shrine. Every year, it is so crowded that it ranks among the top 10 in Japan in terms of the number of worshippers during the New Year’s New Year’s visit. On New Year’s Day, there is a long line of people around here! Many of the holy fountain are also decorated with flowers these days. Every year in May, a firelit Noh play and a Kyogen performance are held here. Noh is difficult, but Kyogen is easy to understand and interesting! Here is the Bonsai Village 100th Anniversary Exhibit Ema (votive picture tablet) with a bag is available at Hikawa Shrine It seems that God can read the wishes on the ema inside even if it is in a bag! On the way to Bonsai Town, we will pass through Omiya Park On your diagonally forward left, is a Japanese garden with free admission! Click on the banner at top right to see a video of the garden’s interior. The number of foreigners living in Omiya has also increased considerably! I remember when I was in high school, I didn’t have that many opportunities to meet foreigners! I am happy because I think that is evidence that people find it comfortable to live in. The park is currently overflowing with fresh greenery, but most of the trees here are cherry trees. Omiya Park, one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots A month ago, cherry blossoms were in full bloom like this. The same place can look so different in one month! Let’s head to Bonsai Town. We arrived at the nearest station, Omiya Koen Station. Last year’s Bonsai Festival started here! You can see last year’s event from the banner on the upper right. This bonsai garden gave us permission to film inside last year. Please see last year’s video for more details. This is the Bonsai Museum. For more information, please click the banner on the upper right. We are back at the Bonsai Festival site! We walked back to Omiya Park Station. Thank you again for watching. I would like to be able to shoot with better equipment .XD This time, we walked from Hikawa Shrine to Omiya Park and then to Bonsai-cho. How was it? We will see you again!
