【北海道旅行】札幌・小樽の街を観光 初めての北海道はここで決まり!美味しい海鮮と絶景を堪能!

Hello! This time we will travel to Hokkaido! First, I took a plane from Haneda Airport to New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. The flight was 1 hour and 30 minutes. This time, I’m going to sightsee in Sapporo and Otaru for 2 nights and 3 days! Both Sapporo and Otaru are located in the center of Hokkaido and are easily accessible by car and train. It is a very popular tourist destination, so it is recommended for those coming to Hokkaido for the first time! First, let’s go to Sapporo from the airport. This time I will go by train. Take a reserved seat on the Airport Express train. The seats here are similar to those on a Shinkansen. If you look closely, you can see that it has a ticket holder. So I tried adding it. Don’t forget lol. On Rapid Airport, non-reserved seats cost 1,150 yen, and if you pay an additional 840 yen, you can sit in a reserved seat called a U-seat. The seats are spacious enough for you to stretch your legs and are reclining seats. About 40 minutes to Sapporo. You can travel comfortably to the big cities of Hokkaido. This time I will be working in Sapporo and will be sightseeing in the evening. I was a little nervous…lol , but while I was saying that, a vast landscape typical of Hokkaido came into view! Coupled with the sunny weather, your heart will be healed. Well, when you think of Hokkaido, you think of seafood! So, let’s start with sushi. Nemuro Hanamaru is a popular chain store in Hokkaido. You can eat large sushi at reasonable prices. Waited in line for over 30 minutes. Scallops, sweet shrimp, and Botan shrimp. Everything was great! Well, it was night after finishing my work in Sapporo. Let’s go sightseeing! Sapporo is a thriving regional city with approximately 1.9 million people living there. Because of its well-developed transportation system, including trains, buses, trams, and roads, it is said to be one of the top destinations for people to move to every year. Now, the first famous spot is the Sapporo Clock Tower! The Sapporo Clock Tower has a history of over 140 years and is the oldest tower clock in Japan. I took a close-up photo of it. That’s the clock on top. You can also take a tour inside the clock tower. There is written information about the history of the clock tower in front of the entrance. Even though it was closed, there were many people sightseeing. The opening hours seem to be from 8:45 to 17:10. Admission is 200 yen per adult. Let’s come again next time. Now let’s move on to the next famous spot. I saw it as soon as I started walking. Sapporo TV Tower. The total length is 147.2m. There are stalls lined up under the TV tower, and there is also an observation deck inside. You can enter until 21:00, so be quick! Good morning. TV tower in the morning. It’s sunny today, isn’t it? Looks like it’s going to be a good day. A streetcar was running. It runs around Sapporo city, so you can also take a tram to sightsee around Sapporo. This is the former Hokkaido main government building (red brick government building). Apparently, it was under renovation, and a large full-size illustration was on display. I arrived at Sapporo Station. The area in front of the station is very spacious. Today I will head to Otaru Station. I will take the Rapid Airport train just like yesterday. Rapid Airport runs between New Chitose Airport and Otaru. The free seats were full. Unreserved seats can only be boarded with an IC card. It runs along the coast until Otaru, so you can see the ocean clearly! You can go from Sapporo to Otaru in about 30 minutes. By the way, this time we will not get off at Otaru but at Minami Otaru, which is just before Otaru. Popular tourist spots are concentrated from Minami Otaru to Otaru. We arrived. I would like to walk around 30 minutes from here to Otaru while sightseeing. Otaru is a city of the sea and hills. No matter what scenery you take, it’s beautiful… Let’s go to the Otaru Music Box Hall, a super famous tourist spot! It is a three-story wooden building with countless music boxes on display. Moreover, you can buy your favorite music box. It seems to be popular overseas, with half of the customers that day being foreigners. This is what the second floor looks like. They also sell things other than music boxes. There is a Snoopy stuffed animal on the third floor. There were also Winnie the Pooh and Toy Story stuffed animals. There are a Ghibli works corner here! Totoro from “My Neighbor Totoro” welcomes you. So cute. I wonder how much I can buy this Totoro for. There were various products such as Kiki’s Delivery Service handkerchief. "Howl’s Moving Castle," "Porco Rosso," "Spirited Away" There were various products such as “Laputa Castle in the Sky” and “Ponyo on the Cliff”. Both adults and children are sure to have a great time. There was Rokkatei right next to the music box hall. Rokkatei is a confectionery specialty store based in Hokkaido. After walking again from Rokkatei, there was Kitaichi Glass. It is a popular tourist destination for its beautiful glass. Further ahead is the Kitaichi Venice Museum. You can view the first floor for free. Well, I took a break after eating a seafood bowl. There were a lot of delicious-looking restaurants in this area, probably for tourists, so I had a hard time deciding which one to go to. After eating lunch, I felt energetic again. There are many fish swimming in the nearby river. The rivers in Hokkaido are so beautiful… Next destination is Otaru Canal. I arrived soon after walking. Speaking of Otaru, it is Otaru Canal! It’s a famous place, About 10 minutes’ walk from Otaru Station. When I was taking pictures of the scenery…I made eye contact with a bird lol I’m sure many of you have seen it from this angle. The Otaru Canal was originally located off the coast, and it seems that it was built by reclaiming land. The Otaru Canal was completed in 1923, and this year marks its 100th anniversary. There were food stalls lined up at the back of the canal. I walked from the canal towards Otaru Station and came to the old Temiya Line. This track has been abandoned and you can now walk on it. There were quite a few people taking commemorative photos on the tracks. By the way, this is what the track looks like at night. It looks like a picture. I arrived at Otaru Station. There are many popular hotels in this area, so I think this is a good place to stay. I came to Sankaku Market, which is on the left-hand side from Otaru Station. It’s a very small street, but you can buy fresh fish here. Live crabs for sale. There are also restaurants on this street where you can eat seafood. Since it was a Sunday, there were some shops with an hour wait. There is also a path that goes up the mountain instead of entering the Sankaku Market. You can see a panoramic view of Otaru’s trains from here! I would like to recommend this view to people who like trains. While walking, I stopped at LeTao. Take a break and eat ice cream. I walked towards the sea from Otaru station. Good smell of tide. The destination is here, Ironai Wharf Park. I came to see the sea in Otaru. I didn’t go on a cruise this time, but it seems like you can ride a cruise ship around here. "Welcome to Otaru" letters and ship. It was a sunny day without a single cloud, and the beauty of the sea was outstanding! Finally, I would like to visit one more place. I will take a bus from Otaru Station to my destination. The last place I will visit today is Mt. Tengu! Tenguyama is a popular tourist spot in Otaru, and many tourists visited on this day as well. In particular, the night view of Mt. Tengu is said to be one of Hokkaido’s top three-night views. I’m going to see that night view today! To get to Mt. Tengu, take the ropeway from the Mt. Tengu bus stop. The ride takes about 5 minutes. The price is 1,600 yen round trip. Otaru city is now in sight. We have arrived. It seems like there are many places to see. There are three observation decks. This is the 2nd Observation Deck. The sunset is beautiful. Shrine at night after the sun has set. This is a Tengu whose nose will come true if you stroke his nose. There was also a chipmunk park where you could see chipmunks up close. Before 18:00, it looks like you’ll be able to see the night view soon. Down ropeway. Surprisingly fast from the outside. It seems that you can also ride in a hot air balloon. It’s really impressive. Well, sorry for keeping you waiting. Night view from the rooftop observation deck. Spectacular view is all I can say. The sea and city lights of Otaru are beautiful. Good night after enjoying this view. Good morning. Depart from the hotel and take the rapid airport train from Otaru Station to New Chitose Airport. Otaru is the first station, so if you line up early, you can sit in a non-reserved seat. The airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Otaru. If you sit on the left side of the train, you can see the ocean. I returned to New Chitose Airport. Those three days made me want to travel to Hokkaido again. Thank you for your viewing.
