絶景 屋久島 白谷雲水峡の秘密と魅力 [魅惑の日本旅行、鹿児島編]

Hello, I’m japan in sight / kaol. This time I will travel to Yakushima, my dream place. The island was one of the filming locations for the Ghibli movie Princess Mononoke, It is a popular tourist destination in Japan where nature remains intact in the present day. Yakushima Island Day 1 After unloading luggage at the inn, explore nearby pubs I find a nice pub. Let’s go here. I ordered Yakushima’s specialty, sashimi of broken neck mackerel. It’s absolutely delicious. Yum! This is delicious. Yummy, isn’t it? Delicious. The first time I ate it, I was shocked… To be honest, it’s worth it just to come here to eat this specialty. This is delicious. I wonder what mackerel I have been eating. If you ever visit Yakushima, please eat it. I am here for sightseeing with my friend this time. Good food and good drinks keep the conversation going. This is what I ordered next Deep fried of minced flying fish, a specialty of Yakushima. It was also delicious. This must be delicious. My friend ordered Raw fish and rice in the soup. He said it was very tasty. I ordered more sushi rolls. This is a shrimp sushi rolls. This is the first time in my life that I eat shrimp sushi rolls. All the food is so good, beer goes down the drain. I’m really looking forward to the specialties of the place I’m traveling to. Try the food? Isn’t it so good? My friend was smiling so much. Local shochu, "Dai shizenrin". I’m addicted to this shochu. I return to the inn, feeling tipsy. It was delicious. Arrive at guesthouse where I will stay tonight There were several other guests. I would like to interact with them if the timing is right. Did you open? OK Yakushima, Day 2 Early morning 7:00 Sky with 90 percent chance of precipitation Yakushima has very many rainy days. Let’s sightsee without worrying. Breakfast for now. Yakushima’s specialty, grilled flying fish. This is the first time in my life to eat grilled flying fish. Thick and fragrant. And most of all, it was delicious. I immediately rent a car and go for a rainy day drive. It was snowing in the mountains, so I turned back. Running along the coastline. Unfortunately, it’s raining. Let’s go to the country beach near here. Yes, I’ll be there. The sea is very rough. I hear the beaches are very beautiful when you come on a clear day… I heard that it is famous for the spawning place of sea turtles. Let’s come here on a sunny day next time! Well, there are days like this. Today I’m going to spend it slack-jawed at the inn. Staying at a guesthouse. Very nice meeting. I make friends and have a drink with a guest in the same guesthouse. I have permission to film, but the video is blurry because I’m drunk. How long have we been talking? It went by so fast. And then…drunkenness is complete! Oh, this is not good. I tried my best to take a picture but it didn’t show lol Thank you very much for a great time. If you saw this video, please DM me. I’d love to go on a trip with you. Yakushima, Day 3 Shiratani-unsui Gorge A place you want to visit at least once in your life. I have reached such a longed-for place. Shiratani-unsui Gorge is 600m-1050m(1968ft~3280ft) above sea level and 424ha(1047ac) in area. This is a popular spot for viewing pristine forests, including Yakusugi cedars that are over 1,000 years old. This trekking course takes up to 4 hours round trip. Considering the time required for the return ferry, we will take the course to the moss forest. It takes about 2 hours round trip. Enjoy the climb. Incredibly beautiful green. So many months and days to go around, so many mountains and waters to overlap. From time immemorial, it has been slowly taking time to take on this form, And it will remain in the future, slowly changing its form. Time seems to flow slowly here. It’s kind of divine, isn’t it? We have arrived at a cedar called kuguri-sugi. It is a relatively common two-timbered Yakusugi cedar. The fact that there is no trace of the fallen tree that served as the foundation, It is said to have grown on a fallen Tsuga tree, which is more susceptible to decay than Yakusugi cedar. That’s interesting. I find it strangely beautiful. Next, we arrive at a cedar tree called "Deer Inn". What a cute naming. I bet the godfather is a romantic person. Arrive at Shichibonsugi. Large! Circumference 8.3m(26ft), height 18m(59ft). It really feels like a mysterious forest. Arrival! Mossy forest Forest modeled after Princess Mononoke in Ghibli movie I really wanted to go to the last point, Taikoiwa. Let’s go there next time I come back. Very fantastic atmosphere, beautiful. The whole area is covered with ferns and mosses. You are drawn into the world that was the source of the stage image of the movie Princess Mononoke. Oh… Very good. I think I understand why tourists never stop coming here to Yakushima. I think it’s because I felt nostalgic for some reason even though it’s my first time here. Now let’s go home slowly. It takes 2.5 hours to get to the moss forest and back. Are there fish or something? Here in Shiratani-unsui Gorge was wonderful. I think I’ll come back in a different season. It would be cooler in the middle of summer. After this, I would like to visit a cedar called Kigen Cedar. On the way back, I found Yaku monkeys. This monkey is endemic to Yakushima. I heard they are seen quite often. That monkey is shining and looks divine. Arrive at Kigen-sugi This is about 1200m(3937ft) above sea level. This is the only Yakusugi cedar that can be seen from the car window in Yakushima. The tree is 19.5m (62ft) tall, 8.1m (26ft) in circumference at breast height, and estimated to be 3,000 years old. This is the most visited and representative Yakusugi cedar in Yakushima. The solemnity of the old giant tree in the quiet forest air is overwhelming to the viewer. It is big. This word may not be enough to describe it. Powerful and overwhelmingly vital. Big. Trees over 3,000 years old. It is very impressive to think that it has existed since such a long time ago. It is too big compared to the shortness of human life. That’s why this Kigen-sugi cedar is so revered and awed by the people. Thanks for the beautiful view. I would have stayed much longer, but it’s time for the ferry home. I will definitely come back. I’ve grown to love this island. Thanks again for watching. Definitely watch for the next one.
