Visit Murodou Plain, one of the world’s heaviest snowfall areas, and witness the incredible Snow Walls at ‘Yuki-no-Oya’, nearly 20 metres high. Explore Kurobe Dam, Japan’s highest and a must-see attraction, located in the breathtaking Northern Alps. Journey through the famous Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, where stunning peaks and valleys meet.

Train (covered by JR pass)
Shinano-Omachi→Ogisawa
Get a ticket outside Shinano-Omachi Station
Bus (40 min)
Ogisawa→Kurobe Dam
Get a set ticket to cover the entire route from here onwards
Kanden Tunnel Electric Bus (16 min)
Kurobe Dam→Kurobe Lake
On foot (15 mins)
Kurobe Lake→Kurobedaira
Kurobe cable car (5 min)
Kurobedaira→Daikanbo
Tateyama ropeway (7 min 1.7km)
Daikanbo→Murodo
Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus (10 min 3.7km)
