Hello, this is Life in Shikoku.
Today, we go to the Nanyo region of Ehime Prefecture to see double cherry blossoms and other spring flowers.
We’re a little concerned about yellow dust.
Head for Takanoji district, located at an altitude of 300 m in the mountains of Yawatahama City.
Arrive at Takanoji. Go up to “Kiraku,” a flower garden in the sky.
Arrived at Kiraku.
Looking up at the double-flowered cherry blossoms in full bloom from the entrance.
Let’s start walking around the garden.
First, go to the above to see double-flowered cherry trees.

Double-flowered cherry tree “Hugennzou” in full bloom.
Follow the route up.
Kanzan: very beautiful pink color.
More than 100 cherry trees have been planted in a place where a tangerine field was cut down.

We can rest on the benches and watch the cherry blossoms.
“Yokihi（Yang Guifei ）” in full bloom surrounding the benches.

We’re at the very top of the Kiraku.
Go to Kiraku Hill overlooking the Uwakai Sea.
There are benches and a lookout point where we can take a break.
It is a little difficult to see due to yellow dust, but we can see as far as the Uwakai Sea.
Return to the bottom while enjoying the cherry blossoms and the scenery.
Beautiful fresh greenery and cherry blossoms.
Ukonn-zakura: Pale yellow-green flowers, unusual for cherry blossoms.
We’re back to the garden below.
Let’s enjoy various flowers and trees other than cherry blossoms.

After enjoying the cherry blossoms and seasonal flowers, we were treated to coffee and sweets.
Let’s leave the Takanoji district.
For lunch, we had “Yawatahama Champon” at “Yawatahama Minatto”, Michino-Eki!
We came to Gion Park in Hataki Town, Ozu City.
Known as a famous spot for double-flowered cherry trees (about 700 trees).
It looks like the flowers are past full bloom, but the scattered petals are beautiful.

こんにちは、Life in Shikoku です。愛媛県の南予地方へ、八重桜や春の花を見に行きました。まず、八幡浜市の山あい、標高300mにある「高野地」地区へ。八重桜が有名な、天空の花園「季楽」があります。”関山（カンザン）” や “普賢象（フゲンゾウ）” 、”楊貴妃” などが満開を迎え、とても華やかで美しい景色を満喫しました。

帰りに寄った大洲市の祇園公園では、八重桜の満開は過ぎていましたが、きれいな桜のじゅうたんと季節のかわいい花を見ることが出来ました。もう一ヶ所寄ったフラワーパーク大洲では、満開のネモフィラを楽しみました。この景色を、一緒に楽しんで頂けたら嬉しいです。
