【Staying in a car with Honda N-BOX】 A spectacular sea of clouds at Minato Roadside Station in Chichibu.
On a Friday in March on my work holiday, I went to Chichibu to enjoy an overnight stay in the car.
Resting in Ashigakubo from western Saitama, I first went to Hodosan Shrine.
After the rain in the morning, the weather has cleared up.
Passing through the center of Chichibu City toward Nagatoro and Minano.
From Chichibu city center to Minano town.
Enter Nagatoro area from Minamo Town.
To the approach to Hodosan Shrine.
Today, I will take a tour of Nagatoro-Minano area in turn.
I have arrived at Hodosan Shrine.
Popular for its auspicious name, "Climbing the Glorious Mountains."
Magnificent old shrine with a history of 1,900 years.
Then, go down the approach to Hodosan and visit Nagatoro Iwadatami, a scenic spot.
I will walk around Nagatoro station area which has a nice atmosphere.
Oddly shaped rocks that have been uplifted and eroded over a long period of time and are a natural monument.
Leaving Nagatoro area, I will next head to Wado Remains.
Nagatoro to Wado Remains is only a few minutes drive!
A 5-meter high monument in Kurotani, Chichibu City, where the copper for the Wadokaichin was produced.
Hijiri Shrine is an old shrine that has been popular as a god of money since ancient times.
Let’s take a bath in Bon-no-yu, a hot spring !
Before it gets dark, I’ll prepare today’s sleeping arrangements.
Lay down a camp mat and then an inflator mat on top of that.
I’m over 6’3" tall and this gives me plenty of room to sleep!
On the passenger side, today’s simple bed is complete!
Afterwards, I took a relaxing bath in a hot spring.
It was a weekday evening, relatively empty and relaxing.
I was able to relax in the very nice hot water while enjoying the view of the Arakawa River!
I am now heading to Minoyama Park to see the night view of Chichibu!

After this I will buy dinner and head to the roadside station.

I set up the shades and we were ready for our overnight stay in the car.
Now let’s have a beer.
Beer served in the car is also very special!
Today’s snacks are grilled chicken with salted malt, nuggets and onion rings.
Yakisoba and Chichibu’s specialty, Warajikatsu-don (mini bowl of rice topped with pork cutlet)!
All of Yaoko’s boxed lunches and prepared foods are delicious and always very satisfying!

Good morning, I woke up at 5:30.
The reason for getting up early was because I wanted to see the sea of clouds.
It is said that early in the morning on a sunny day, the day after it rains, there is a chance to see a sea of clouds.
The whole area was covered with fog.
I hurried to Minoyama Park.
I parked in parking lot 1 again this morning.
I will stop here, then take a rest in Ashigakubo and return to the western Saitama.
A spectacular and moving view spread out before my eyes!

I’m going to take a short break here and then I’m going home.
The amount used this time was 7,458 Japanese yen.
旧型N-BOX JF３で秩父へ。今回は長瀞・皆野のエリアのみどころを訪れた後、助手席側をインフレーターマットと寝袋で簡単ベッドモードにして「道の駅みなの」で車中泊。 N-BOXの車内でビールとお弁当を楽しみます。
翌朝は美の山公園から絶景の雲海を見ることができ大感動でした。
