根尾川 と 能郷白山信仰の聖地 │ Neo river runs through Neo village , Gifu

各地の限界化する集落には神事として能や狂言を奉納している地域があります。岐阜県本巣市の根尾最奥にある能郷白山神社もその一つで、担い手の多くは集落以外の都市などに在住する子孫達で受け継がれており、その継承の困難さはある意味「限界舞台」とも言えます。残雪の能郷白山が望める春の根尾谷は、薄墨桜は散っておりましたが、根尾川が流れる水田脇にある子孫樹となる神龍桜が少し花びらを残しており、儚い桜の季節が過ぎ去ろうとしていました。

Neo Village, located deep in the mountains of Gifu, has inherited traditional performing arts, and Noh and Kyogen are performed every spring. However, the number of people involved in this work is decreasing year by year, and there are concerns about its survival.
