草津温泉 / 食べまくる1泊2日 / こんにゃくパーク

Hello
Where are we headed?
Konnichiwa (noon greeting)
Ohayogozaimasu (morning greeting) Isn’t it?
Ohayo gozaimasu (morning greeting)
I’m going to Kusatsu today
I’m going to Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture today
I’m really looking forward to it
I stopped at a highway rest stop
I was surprised to see so many identical cars, but I guess it’s the same car club
We’re heading back to Kusatsu
It’s about three and a half hours on the toll road from Tokyo
It takes 4 hours and 10 minutes by bus from Shinjuku
It’s a very nice place, but it’s too far from Tokyo to go there often
When you get to Kusatsu, there is a melody line (road), and if you drive 40 kilometers, it plays a melody
Melody line (road) start point
A folk song from the Kusatsu Onsen called Kusatsu-bushi is played
As a car travels at a steady speed on a road with grooves carved into the pavement
the sound of the car’s traveling reverberates in the grooves
We’ve finally arrived in Kusatsu
There are a lot of people here
Yubatake
There’s cars all the way in here
It’s a hotel called Ichii in front of Yubatake, and there’s an omiyage shop on the first floor
Going around the back, there’s the hotel entrance
It’s not check-in time yet, so I drop off my luggage and go sightseeing
They explained the tourist information and gave me a coupon
He gave me a restaurant map and introduced me to famous shops
They were so kind!
If you go to the Omiyage shop on the 1st floor, it leads directly to Yubatake
The smell of sulfur fills the air as soon as you leave the shop
I’m going to have lunch first
There are places where you can wash your hands with hot spring water
It is said that 97% of coronavirus is eliminated in 10 seconds and 99% in 1 minute when washing hands with Kusatsu Onsen water
It’s daytime on a weekday, so there aren’t many people here yet
Iiyama is a kamameshi restaurant
There was a line in front of the popular restaurant
I think we waited about 30 minutes before we went in
Kamameshi served with konnyaku and miso soup
Gomoku Kamameshi with a variety of items!
Chicken Kamameshi using local chicken
It says they use local greens
Tamakonnyaku is served together
It’s round, so I think it’s Tamakonnyaku
It’s called hanaingen(flower string beans), but it looks like petals and it’s a specialty of Gunma prefecture
It was sweet and soft like Korean red beans
I was disappointed that there was no ochazuke, but I had delicious rice
Strolling around the streets of Sainogawara
Yumomi performances by monkeys
You can’t pass by this karinto shop
This is so delicious
I only bought one, but when I got home and tried it, I regretted not buying more
red beans for mom, yum cha for sister, red beans for brother, red beans for daddy
Taste Sniping 100%
It’s a restaurant with a lot of celebrities, so we should go inside and eat
I feel like I’ve been attacked on the walk, but it’s warm and delicious
It’s a little embarrassing to just eat and leave lol
This udon restaurant is also popular.
This place sells onsendamago
Onsendamago is an egg cooked in hot spring water
One 150 yen
They’re soft-boiled, so you’ll need to pop them in a bowl
It’s warm because they took it right out
They’re giving me a spoon with the sauce
Should I put all this in?
I opened it wrong and it’s all leaking out the back
I took half of it
It was a little more cooked than I thought
The hot spring water is supposed to be cooked at 45 degrees for about two hours
Matsumura Manju is famous for its delicious manju
They took it out of the box and it must have been fresh
It’s so warm
I had it 7 years ago and it’s still as good as ever
Kusatsu Onsen pudding is already sold out
I hope we can taste it tomorrow morning
I came to Kusatsu for the first time 7 years ago, this is my second time
The kids have grown up and everything is the same
Damagofarm is selling everything with eggs in it
There’s caramel sauce and a spoon inside
Tamago Pudding
It’s like steamed eggs
The castella we bought together was delicious
There are small chairs in front of the store so you can eat while looking at the yubatake
Kusatsu Onsen is one of the three major hot springs in Japan, along with Arima Onsen in Hyogo Prefecture and Gero Onsen in Gifu Prefecture
Kusatsu Onsen has a natural flow rate of more than 32,300 liters per minute, the highest in Japan
With an acidity of PH2.1, it is said to be highly sterilizing and is visited by many people
足湯 Ashiyu
There is also a footbath where you can relax
It was hot at first, so it took me a while to get used to it
Don’t forget to bring a towel to enjoy the Yubatake footbath
It’s amazing to see the hot spring gushing out like this
Kusatsu Onsen is too hot to enter because it’s almost 50 degrees
Mixing the water reduces the efficacy of the hot springs, so we came up with the idea of yumomi work to cool the water
The wooden walkways are used to cool the water
The yunohana that sinks to the bottom is collected and sold as a bathing agent
Yumomi panel, a must-see photo opportunity
It’s time for the Yumomi Show
She is performing a folk song called Kusatsubushi
草津よいとこ
Kusatsu yoidokko (Kusatsu is a good place)
一度はおいで
Ichido oide (Come at least once)
ア ドッコイショ
A dokkoisho (exclamatory words that gets you excited)
お湯の中にもコーリャ
Oyu no nakanimo gorya (Look inside the hot springs too)
花が咲くよ
Hana sakuyo (The flowers are blooming)
The performance continues and now the Yumomi show begins
チョイナチョイナ
Chōina Chōina
草津よいとこ
Kusatsu yoidoko (Kusatsu is a good place)
一度はおいで
Ichido oide (Come at least once)
ア ドッコイショ
a dokkoisho
The song from the melody line is also kusatsubushi
The last is a strong
It’s amazing how wisdom becomes culture and tradition
Thank you for a wonderful performance
I left the coupon from the hotel in my bag and never got around to using it
This is Urakusatsu
It’s a new tourist spot
There’s a spring here, tooIt’s called the Ojijo-san (stone statue) hot spring
There is a facial hot spring called Kaoyu
I thought it was a face hot spring so you could soak your face in it^^;;
There’s a hot spring flowing underneath
It smells so bad, I wonder if it works
You two look like you’re playing some kind of game
We took a walk and came to Seigetsudo Cafe, which has been in business for over 100 years
The doratiramisu, a whole piece of dorayaki, is a popular menu item
Winter Limited Caramel Doratiramisu
Kak~ So pretty
The bowl is so pretty too
Thank you for the beautiful and delicious dessert
Around and around and around again Yubatake
The mystery of this long line is
Yakitori
After a long line, it was our turn
I think this skewer has more firepower than the others
They only sell them in sets of two
They’ve got a blow dryer on the side
So they had a lot of firepower
It looks delicious because it’s baked with a lot of firepower
The ash and smoke flew to the other side
The time seemed to pass quickly as we watched and waited
They’re only open from 3:30 to 8:00, and there’s a line before they open
They’re enjoying an asiyu while I’m buying
Yakitori while drinking ashiyu..
Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside
It was so good, it was mild
The water was hotter than the top because it hadn’t cooled down
Smoke coming out of my feet
Yubatake is the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen and is said to gush 4,000 liters of hot water every minute
We’re back at the hotel after all the sightseeing for the day
I think this is the room overlooking Yubatake on the left
You even brought your luggage to your room
You look like Yubatake
Welcome manju and ocha set
Yukata are available by size
I think the yubatake would have looked better if it was number 1
We still have time to eat, so let’s check out the hotel
There’s a hot spring in the annex, but it’s connected under the road so you don’t have to go outside
There’s also a lounge
There’s free coffee and alcohol for a fee
Yubatake is much more visible from the lounge
This is what he looks like in the promotional video, but from above
We’re here to tour the hotel and have dinner
I see you already have the default settings
Cheers~ I’m going to overflow if I don’t drink a little
Cheers to plum wine and juice
Meal time with explanation of dishes
The defaulted dishes were cold and a little disappointing
The soup was served in a cup-like bowl, so it was easy to drink
Sashimi
Steamed egg
The one-person nabe is finished
The thick sashimi was so delicious
I feel like I could eat all day today
Never seen avocado tofu before
I felt it during the day too, but I think wild vegetables and vegetables are delicious
Sauce in the main dish
My son likes fish
All the rest are steak
I have 3 sauces, what do you want to put on it?
What do you think I’ll go with?
Salt
I like wasabi
It was a tenderloin steak, and it was so good
He said the fish was good, too
Finally, dessert was served
It was so delicious, thank you very much
When I came back, the futon was spread out
The illuminated yubatake is pretty
I wore a yukata to help digest the food.
It’s a little chilly in the evening
With the lights on, it’s a different atmosphere from the daytime
This is how a day in Kusatsu passes
Back at the hotel, I enjoy the hot Kusatsu onsen and fall asleep
Good night, everyone
See you tomorrow~
Good morning
I had a good night’s sleep and went for a morning walk
There’s a temple called Kosenji right next door
This pagoda looked pretty in the lights last night
The snow hasn’t melted yet
I’m not sure if I should be ringing this morning..
And make a wish
Yubatake looking down from Kosenji Temple
There seems to be more smoke in the morning
It’s hot
It’s nice to pamper myself in the morning when no one else is around
The hot springs are still spewing water
I’m sure all those people from yesterday are asleep
It’s a shame we’re only here for one more day
The hotel was right in front of Yubatake, so it was very convenient
I finished getting ready and came for breakfast
Can I open the lid for you?
There’s an explanation of the diet chart
There are drinks, yogurt, natto, etcavailable separately
That’s an ocha cup
It’s real
It’s too good to eat because you made it so carefully
Warm soup and steamed vegetables
If you come to this place, you must try natto
I ate well
I’m going to Sainogawara Park
I found the place where I took a picture 7 years ago / Kijagi mailbox
Looking at this, I think the whole town should be called a hot spring town
There was a small pendulum
Lucky Sand 200 yen
The sand is one tablespoon
If you’re greedy, your merit will be halved
That’s funny
Sainogawara Park
Ashiyu doesn’t seem to get tired of it
There are shops on the way to and from the park
We meet a cute cat
Try the pudding I couldn’t eat yesterday
I’m famous because I’m on TV
Today, get pudding!
They’ve set up a photo spot off to one side
It was as delicious as it was popular
Hakukoutei Soba Noodles
I’m going to have lunch here
An old soba restaurant over 100 years old
The bowls look like they were made by hand
Soba with fried shrimp
They have special yaki-udon noodles, so I ordered it
The udon noodles had a really good broth
They grind buckwheat flour in a stone mill every day to serve raw buckwheat
I ate well
I ate and dipped my feet
Yesterday was a holiday so I couldn’t eat aguemange
Aguemange is fried dumplings
It’s exactly what it looks like, dipped in batter and deep fried
It was delicious because it was fried
We’ve finished our schedule at Kusatsu and are moving on
Yesterday was warm, but today was a little colder with clouds and low temperatures
But we ate a lot of good food and had a good time
It’s been cloudy since morning, and it’s finally raining
I came to Konjac Park, an hour and a half away from Kusatsu
I was on my way to Tokyo and thought it would be fun to stop by
Konjac Park is free to enter
Amazingly, the konjac buffet is also free
Looks like a lot of celebrities have been here
We can tour the factory first and then go to the buffet
Factory tour route 330 meters
Explanation of various products made from konjac
You can see the inside of the factory from above
You can see the different packing operations
I didn’t know much about konjac, but I learned a lot
This is how it becomes the konjac that we eat
Gunma Prefecture konjac accounts for 94% of Japan’s production
It was fun to learn new facts and have fun
Now it’s time for the konjac tasting
Tama konjac
100g 18kcal konjac ramen
Konjac pickles
Yuba Konjac
Shirataki Sukiyaki
Konjac Yakisoba
Shirataki Tempura
Octopus Flavored Konjac Karaage
There are also various desserts such as cold udon, jelly, etc
It tasted like real octopus
I’ve tried everything else
I don’t think I can eat much because of the texture
I didn’t realize there were so many dishes with konjac
It was colorful, interesting, and fun
Next to the cafeteria, there’s a gift shop
There was a lot of tsumehodai, where you put an infinite amount of money in an envelope
There were also a lot of the most familiar types of jelly
They were usually sold in bundles
The octopus was unusual, so I bought it
It’s drained, dipped in zyuu, then coated in starch and fried
There’s so much merchandise, it took me forever to get through it
I couldn’t pass by Asiyu, so I did it again for the last time
I can’t believe this is all free
Thanks for the fun time
It was my first long highway trip since buying the car
I think it was comfortable and nice to drive
Now we’re on our way back to Tokyo
It was a pleasure, KusatsuI hope we can come back again
Thank you for watching
I hope you all have a great day
