Good morning,
Today is April 7th, Sunday. The weather is cloudy.
It was raining until about 7 AM.
The forecast says it will clear up, so I plan to go see the cherry blossoms in Tokyo.
Starting at Shin-Shimomaruko Bridge.
Arakawa River.
Kyoshima Second District.
Tobu Kameido Line.
The cherry trees in front of the school are also in full bloom.
Tokyo Solamachi.
Heading to Sumida Park.
This place seems like a good spot for shooting because the cherry blossoms are close.
Kototoi Bridge.
Sumida River.
It’s been a year since I last saw the cherry blossoms at Sumida Park.
I came early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
Cherry blossoms with the Skytree and Sumida River in the background.
Sumida River Walk.
In front of Ueno Station.
Ueno Park seems crowded, so I’m heading to Shinobazu Pond instead.
Shinobazu Pond.
Akihabara.
Heading towards Iidabashi Station to see the cherry blossoms along Sotobori Street.
There’s a long line in front of CANAL CAFE…
If you can see the cherry blossoms from the terrace, it makes sense why people are lining up.
I wonder if we’ll get a nice view of Kanda River.
The cherry trees are close here, so it should offer a different view.
The Sobu Line will pass by soon.
Next, heading towards Yotsuya.
Seeing a lot of motorbikes today.
Yotsuya Station.
Off to the Imperial Palace.
It’s crowded today and hard to get to the sidewalk.
I might not get to see the view of the Imperial Palace moat today.
But don’t be disappointed.
If it’s crowded, I’ll get off my bike and shoot as a pedestrian.
I haven’t heard much about the cherry blossoms at Hibiya Park, but I’ll stop by.
Hibiya Park.
Next, heading towards Shiba Park.
I’ll explore Zojoji Temple.
Zojoji Temple.
The view of the cherry blossoms, the temple, and Tokyo Tower is quite rare.
Photography was prohibited here.
Senryozoonikuko Jizo.
Senryozoonikuko Jizo is a Jizo statue placed to wish for children’s health and growth.
There’s also a Jizo statue wearing a red knit hat and apron.
This is the Tokugawa Shogun gravesite, the Chudarumon Gate.
Six of the fifteen Tokugawa Shoguns, including Hidetada, Ienobu, Ietsugu, Ieshige, Ienari, and another Ieshige, are buried here.
I came here to climb this hill after a long time for training.
I’m in good shape today.
Surprisingly easy. Maybe I’m getting stronger.
I planned to go through Jizo-dori Shopping Street, which is on the old Nakasendo route,
but it’s closed for an event, so I’ll continue on Nakasendo.
The falling cherry blossom petals are also beautiful.
Tobu Tojo Line.
Shimo-Itabashi Station.
Finally, heading to Nakajuku Shopping Street.
Actually, there’s also a beautiful spot to see cherry blossoms here.
Itabashi.
Shakujii River.
How did you like the journey around Tokyo’s cherry blossoms?
Starting from Sumida Park, to Shinobazu Pond, Sotobori Street, the Imperial Palace, Zojoji Temple, and Shakujii River.
I’ve selected and visited the best places I’ve explored in Tokyo so far.
The cherry blossoms brighten the scenery,
and many people look forward to seeing them bloom,
enjoying the splendid cherry blossoms.
As the flowers scatter and what was born fades away,
Japanese people have cherished and loved the transient life of these fleeting blossoms, seeing the changes of seasons and life in them.
The life of cherry blossoms may seem fragile and short,
but until they reach full bloom, they withstand rain and wind without scattering,
appearing delicate yet strong, not swept away, blooming their own flowers and scattering beautifully.
It’s uncertain when cherry blossoms will scatter, but I hope you enjoyed them through this video.
See you in the next video.
Thank you for watching.
