Tokyo’s Quaint Shitamachi & Temple District: Yanesen!| JAPAN LIVE STREAMS 2024
Yanesen is the nickname for Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi, which are the 3 main areas that make up this wonderful area of Tokyo. It’s full of old temples and shrines (over 100!) as well as many residential homes that date back to the Edo period.
It’s one of my favorite areas to tour friends or family around when they’re visiting Tokyo because of the chill vibes that exist here.
I’ve also live-streamed in these areas countless times, but we haven’t been there this year, so that’s where we’ll be going!
