Before and I have never seen it not busy I’m here  during during midday on a weekday obviously it’s   a work day so it’s not as busy as it is on a  weekend but it’s still really really packed  

The one good thing about this area is there’s  not really cars driving through this road so   it’s mostly pedestrian traffic and then you  also have um this tram that’s running through   the road so you can take the tram if you want  to but I’m going to be walking as I usually do  

Look at this beautiful mosque man there’s so many  beautiful MOS in Istanbul as you walk through it’s   quite amazing and a lot of the people you’ll see  here are actually foreigners you know mostly the   local people are the only ones who are doing  the selling and running businesses but even  

Foreigners run businesses here so a bustling City  man if you think European and American cities are   bustling they ain’t got nothing on istan buul  that’s for sure I’m actually walking towards the   Grand Bazaar cuz I do want to do some shopping  and just show you guys the Grand Bazaar as well

So one thing I’ve noticed in uh Istanbul  is that people don’t really speak too much   English so don’t come here expecting to get  full conversations in English cuz but in the   tourist areas you will find people who do speak  a decent level of English especially since they  

Deal with tourists a lot so it’s not like you’ll  be completely lost but yeah obviously their main   language is Turkish and they’re proud of it  and and they stick to it which is cool you   definitely got to watch out for these guys on  the scooters even though you’re walking on the  

Sidewalk there’s people just riding these  scooters really fast I almost got hit by   one so so right now I’m actually walking  next to Istanbul University and I think   it’s Istanbul univers that’s how you say it in  Turkish Turkish is a tough language to read to  

Speak but trying to pick up on some I was just  in the mosque and I came out it’s really cool   cuz right outside there’s a huge book Market  people selling qurans different local tourism books honestly over here so far in  this part of Istanbul it’s like one  

Big Market that’s what it feels like it’s  like that’s all there is to do here just buy stuff different kinds of books local  Turkish books it’s just a huge book market so now we are in the grand Bazar this  is the main kind of the main highlights of one  

Of the main highlights in Istanbul and it  is freaking huge man there’s vendors shops   selling all kinds of things here perfumes  bags jackets clothes jewelry sunglasses   literally everything Under the Sun and yeah  I’m just going to get lost here for a bit  

Take you guys around with me look at this  people selling fake Rolexes some really   good quality one thing about turkey I think  is they take pride in quality so everything   here is going to be pretty much good quality as  you can see so let’s just take a walk through

Here oh look at this it’s like some traditional   kind of goods plates look  at these little mini mini hookas and for a huge bizaar this is actually  really clean I’m surprised oh sorry I’m I’m   surprised by the uh cleanliness of  this place usually huge bizaar like  

This aren’t this clean but that’s what I was  telling you about turkey everything is clean so people selling all kinds of things and you  can literally get lost here for days some musical   stuff little drums what are these called Turkish  darbuka daruka hello how are you sir good are you

It’s outside of the Grand Bazaar so you can see  there’s these little places and it’s beautiful   this is like the old old area you can tell this  buildings are really really old and beautiful beautiful but looks like people just also uh  selling things here as well jewelry carpets  

It’s just a big big Market guys if you ever catch  me a doing a tour like this shoot me I will never   ever do a tour where I have to follow a FL a guy  with a flag who’s going to walk me around never  

Ever ever ever I don’t know why people do that  you never really get to see things like just   following around a bunch of people and they’re  just pointing at things don’t do that if you want   to travel travel by yourself travel with people  and walk around like a human being not like a

Time Square in Manhattan or Paris every city  starts to kind of look the same after a while   but the one difference between this and those  is that at least some of the architecture the   old architecture Still Remains intact but so this  whole area that I’m walking through at the moment  

Is known as the sultan Ahmed area there’s a train  station that stops right here in this area also   the reason why it’s called Sultan Ahmed is because  of this Moss that I’m standing right in front of  

Known as the sultan Ahmed Moss also AKA known as  the blue moss that’s what a lot of people know it   but it uh was actually ordained and built by not  built by but ordained by the first Sultan Sultan  

Ahmed the first and he actually had this mosque  built and finished around the year 1617 uh if   you look at the Moss the architecture is like  a mix of Byzantine constant Constantinople and   ottoman architecture so and it still remains  intact obviously they’ve preserved it over  

Time it’s absolutely beautiful and stunning the  only thing is it’s very tough to get a good view   of it because there’s so many trees around it  so it’s hard to get like a good back view and  

You can come in close and get good views but it’s  very tough to get a good like a oversight view of   it but that being said it’s absolutely gorgeous  and it’s definitely one of the things that you  

Should come and see when you come to Istanbul  it’s a become a tourist site at this point but   it is still an operating Moss so if you’re a  Muslim and you want to go make a prayer inside

Nice see one thing my video should show you guys  is that even with limited knowledge of the local   language you can still communicate with the people  you don’t have to worry you know what I mean like   there’s always ways to communicate besides using  your mouth body language the way you speak the way  

You you move your hands the way you use your eyes  there’s a lot of ways to speak other than using language so as you guys saw so one thing I have to  say is the Istanbul metro is very very nice clean  

As most things are in Turkey efficient as most  things are in Turkey um and the stations were   also very nice yeah it just runs really smoothly  um the Yen copy station is like the main station  

If you want to get to the downtown that’s how  you get there just go to Yen copi and you can   get around most of the city using the metro  station so it’s actually really nice um and  

It doesn’t cost much either you just need that  card and once you have that you can literally   use that for buses trains everything so it’s very  easy but yeah guys this was my video my time here  

In Istanbul is finished I just wanted to give you  guys like a day in Istanbul um my honest thoughts   I feel like the downtown is very very touristy  um not my favorite kind of vibe to be honest and  

Everybody’s just like very serious you know just  going about their business um will I come back to   Turkey yes will I explore Istanbul again again  probably not I’ll probably try to go somewhere   a little bit less touristy so if you guys have any  ideas if there’s any Turkish people watching this
