Hello, I’m Satori I’m at Tokyo Station now We take the 7:40 bus Thank you for taking the JR East train today This car is the Tohoku Shinkansen YAMABIKO bound for Sendai I didn’t expect that I, who is very afraid of the cold, would run to the Northeast twice this winter.

We’re going to take the Banyoshi West Line to Aizuwakamatsu. Take a ride to Inaashiro We are going to Urabandai today Urabandai is a plateau area on the north side of the foothills of Mount Bandai. About 800 meters above sea level The car has arrived From Koriyama to Inaashiro Suddenly it started to snow

The train gradually enters the world of ice and snow The closer you get to Inaomidai, the more snow there is. As soon as I got off the car, I felt the biting cold wind We need to take a shuttle bus that can go to the hotel The wind is too strong…

Are you a hotel guest? Yes Get in the car Because we mainly wanted to see the famous Goseki Lake in Urabandai So I booked this hotel closest to Gisekinuma. I didn’t expect that we were the only two taking the shuttle bus at this time. Arrive at the hotel where we will stay today

We first had lunch at the coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel I plan to eat first and store my luggage. Desserts are not cheap There are noodles and sandwiches I want to eat beef stew Spicy noodles that I can’t eat I ordered beef ragout

It’s a braised sauce and served with bread It is not served with rice After we finish eating, we will go directly to Gosenzuma. Okay, I’ll go for a walk directly after eating. I’ve never heard of Five Colored Marsh before.

Yes When I went to Fukushima on a business trip for more than a month, My colleague from Fukushima drove me to the station I asked him what fun things there are in Fukushima. He told me that there was a five-colored marsh that I could go and see.

Fukushima happens to have travel subsidies or something? Discount 3,000 yen per person Speed of light! Book now! I think the weather today might be a bit awkward What if it snows and then… I don’t know if it’s better to go The snow seems to have stopped now! not at all… Did I misunderstand?

I don’t know how to get there I might want to look at a map. We just asked the counter staff Did he say front left? Tell him they have… on the left front. There is a sign. If you walk over, you will see the entrance. Then let’s go that way, okay

We put on crampons Go forward from this snowy path We will go to Gosekonuma to explore the route. Before we even reached the entrance, we already saw a swamp. This swamp is frozen I think I’m going to freeze too… It’s about 3 degrees at noon now, but it’s starting to snow.

I feel like wearing this makes it difficult for me to move around. It covers your whole face it will cover the whole I feel like my field of vision will become very narrow. Fortunately, it doesn’t feel as cold here as I expected. There’s just too much snow on the ground

Not very convenient to walk This should be the stairs, right? The stairs have been buried in snow I looked at Google Street View without snow. It looks completely different from now. Wow, it’s so beautiful here. Like a world of ice and snow

I was scared as soon as I stepped on the (buried) trail Oh, I found a pair of glasses I also forgot my sunglasses the last time I went to Zao to see Juhyo. I don’t know where it fell. Buried in the ice, right? My glasses have also turned into ice

It seems like the snow is getting heavier and heavier now. I’m almost turning white This is the “Yanaginuma” closest to the entrance. The 1888 Mount Bandai volcano erupted, causing a massive landslide. Forming more than 300 large and small lakes and swamps

“Five Colored Marshes” is the collective name for more than 30 lakes and marshes among them. This trail along the Five Colored Marsh is about 4 kilometers one way. It usually takes about an hour and a half to complete the walk.

It’s snowing now and I don’t know how long it will take to walk. Do you know how many marshes there are in Five Color Marshes? Definitely not five Because it changes into many different colors That’s why it’s called Five Color Marsh It changes with weather, time, and seasons

So you may see different colors every time you come It’s snowing today, so the color should be a little darker. Watch out for bears! There are bears here too The bear should be hibernating now Suddenly I remembered the news that I saw a bear getting up a few days ago…

Read the official website and write about it It takes an hour and a half to walk from here to the last swamp. We don’t know if we can go that long Because the snow is a bit deep I think we’ll just take a look.

If there’s nothing we can do, we’ll turn back halfway. It depends on the situation These should be snowshoe marks on the ground. Our hotel has snowshoeing itineraries, so you need to buy them separately. But we didn’t buy it and just wanted to leave on our own.

Judging from the depth of this year’s snow From what others have said, you can just install the crampons yourself and go. There are many broken trees on the road Why do I feel like I’m on an adventure? This is still the same Yananuma just now

This willow marsh is so big The biggest one is Bishamonnuma at the end It seems you can also row boats over there. Big enough to row a boat If this way There are no traces of other tourists passing by It would feel quite scary and I would not dare to leave.

Thanks to those who came and left in the morning for helping to clear the way What are you doing My snowball turned into a snowman let’s move on What about your snowman? Want to follow us? I’ll leave it here and look for it when I come back later.

This tree trunk next to it was uprooted Then the whole thing fell down like this. It turned into a small wooden bridge I also feel like it’s become a bit like a bridge The squirrel can cross the river I don’t know what this marsh is called. I can’t find its name.

Forget about the swamp for now. I made a snowball. You look like you are cutting ice This snowball is bigger than your face this is too big In the end, I still couldn’t find the name of the marsh. My husband has experienced the fun of playing snowballs

I see the next swamp on the left This is “Aonuma”. The color is so beautiful! Its color is so beautiful It feels blue-green Surprisingly, it can still maintain this color on such a snowy and cloudy day. If it is a sunny day, the colors should be more vivid But it looks beautiful now

Wow, you just walked from the right to the left. It’s like filming a Japanese drama Because it’s snowing now I found it’s the color of the water There are gradients The back side feels bluer Then the color is darker here Someone is building a snowman in front of Aonuma

He looks like he’s having a lot of fun My husband said he fell in love with making snowmen keep going It’s snowing non-stop today Like salt flying in the air Sometimes big snowballs fall from the trees. so be careful There is another broken tree trunk ahead. Aonuma’s marsh is almost gone

The snow will be five to ten centimeters deeper It should be covered The color on this side of Aonuma is different from before. It looks a little brighter here This angle is also very beautiful and dreamy Next to Aonuma is… it should be called Rurinuma. There is a small bridge here

There is an observation deck next to it Then let’s go to the observatory first. The tree is broken Fall directly on this observation deck The handrail of the observatory was crushed. Go from unfenced areas Walk back to the small bridge just now Because the water looks like this from this side…

Then it flows over from the small bridge below like this It looks like Aonuma and Rurinuma are from the same water source. same water But it actually produces different colors I saw the next swamp ahead. This color looks different from the one just now

I saw the description mentioned the color of the swamp. Another reason why it is different is that It contains volcanic material This is “Bentennuma” which is second only to Bishamonnuma in area. It snowed so much today that your hat got wet too My hat got wet too, my whole body got wet

You may still want to wear the hood of your coat But that way my vision will become very narrow. It doesn’t matter, we will keep walking We’re going to walk over this fallen tree trunk Bentennuma also has an observation deck Now I can no longer see what is written on this observation deck.

Dial it The view from Bentennuma We went from just now to now Finally met the first person I just passed by an older brother He said he came from the other side He said it took him more than an hour to get here As soon as he saw us wearing crampons Praise us

Yes, because he didn’t wear it He only wears ordinary hiking shoes like this We put on hiking boots like this and then put on crampons It’s actually pretty easy to walk. Maybe it’s because the snow isn’t very deep this year Follow the footsteps of big brother There shouldn’t be a road

It should be part of the lake. Yes, look to the left This is a frozen lake We decided to turn back from Bentennuma. We have been walking for about an hour and a half. It seems like the snow is getting heavier now…

It’s a pity that I didn’t get to Bishamonnuma, but the journey was already a feast for my eyes. You hit the camera with a snowball and see Really? That’s right, just don’t hit me I’ll smash it I feel like I washed my hair I have to go back and take a shower quickly.

I want to thank your colleague for recommending this place to you. I think it’s beautiful! I have never walked on the snow for so long. Yes, first experience I seem to have picked up some tricks after walking around. Wow! My snowman is still there

My husband said he felt this snowman was too lonely So he wanted to make another one for it Be a companion for it There is a companion during the journey Husband’s masterpiece two snowmen Don’t know how long they can survive The return journey is faster. This should be our hotel’s snowshoeing group

Almost back to the entrance There’s an extra cute little snowman We walked back We walked for more than three hours, right? I’ve been walking for exactly three hours and I feel like my feet are freezing. View of this staircase from below The amplitude is quite large. It’s become a slide

I want to hide in the room quickly to keep warm. Maps near hotels We just came from the entrance of Gosekonuma Then walk to Five Colors Marsh You can reach Lake Hibara from the other side So cute. The rabbit is playing. Really, it’s a rabbit Thank you for keeping you waiting.

Snowshoeing tour organized by hotel This is it It will lend you all your equipment, so it is more expensive. It costs 5,800 yen What is Red Bull? This one is for you to draw yourself Is it a red pig? (I am a cow) Draw a two thousand yen So that you can paint

It says that Red Bull is a folk art toy from the Aizu area. This is not the famous one… dali lips sofa It’s true. It’s written here. You look like you were eaten by a monster You are his sweetheart It’s so spacious It’s so big in here turn on a light turned off

Its shape looks hard It’s actually quite soft. It’s 58 square meters here. No wonder it’s so big. This is so big. This is probably the biggest room I’ve ever lived in. Then this is like a living room That sofa looks like the one next to the door just now look outside

It’s so beautiful outside, right? It’s a pity that Hibara Lake is not frozen now, otherwise it would be a whole snow scene Aizu’s sesame miso senbei This is the type of wardrobe door My wardrobe also has this kind of door Clothes can easily get stuck in here I personally find it inconvenient

Basket for bathing in the bathhouse And yukata The bathtub is quite big. It’s just that this tile looks a bit dated The deluxe double room we stayed in this time After deducting the Fukushima accommodation subsidy of 6,000 yen Including dinner and breakfast, 24,940 yen

Just take a shower as soon as you have a room. Otherwise I feel like I will really catch a cold and my whole body will be wet. You can wear yukata in the hotel And there’s a yukata and a jacket I consumed too many calories and was already hungry after four o’clock.

There is a space on the fifth floor that overlooks Lake Hibara. Let’s come in and take a look This looks like a conference room There happens to be sunset It’s great to be able to have dinner at half past five good evening Is it two people? Yes, Thanks Seat is A2

Second table by the window You can make your own sushi Local cuisine: squid, carrot and cod Fish soup that seems to have a lot of ingredients Kuroge Wagyu roast beef Freshly fried tempura Chinese cuisine area There is actually a cut bag You can make your own dumplings

Spicy seafood hot pot that makes my husband drool I’m very interested in pinto bean cake Vegetarian cuisine area There are cute decorations throughout the restaurant I hesitated there for a long time Everyone wants to eat So I installed a little bit of each one first.

Why did my husband pack a soup that looks delicious? I didn’t see it just now The snow outside is as thick as a hill What kind of soup is this? This looks delicious Suga juice is fish soup Everyone only packs sushi ingredients No one packs food

Yes, that homemade sushi section has the most leftovers. Everyone is afraid that it will occupy their stomach (me too) When I took a shower just now, I noticed that my feet were all red. It’s probably because we’ve been walking in the snow for too long.

This is the first time in my life that I have walked in the snow for so long. The warmth of the feet may need to be strengthened I went to pack the desserts Several kinds of cakes and fruits And coffee au lait jelly You can make your own sundae here

Can hold vanilla ice cream I made a sundae I pretend to be warabi cake It should be sweet potato like this one And then there’s strawberry jam, right? Although the weather is very cold, It’s quite warm inside So you can still eat ice cream

There is a constant flow of people dining during dinner time This potted plant is too big, right? I can plant you in it Plant me in, yes, I can plant you in Just exposing the upper body Just over here Photosynthesis It’s time to happily visit souvenir shops again The hotel’s own original products

Aizu mountain salt baumkuchen My husband came back from his last business trip to Fukushima I bought peach flavored potato chips. This was also recommended by my Fukushima colleague I think it’s quite special. This picture is so impactful How spicy is this… You can make your own fillings rose jam I’m interested in this

This honey also comes with a stick. This is a mirror Quite beautiful This is probably the most expensive item in this store. If you join a snowshoeing group organized by the hotel You can borrow equipment here, right? Aizu-only honey gummy candy I have bought this cherry before in Yamagata.

I want to buy a box of honey I ate cherries last time and thought they were quite delicious. Then I want peach gummies Beef jerky looks delicious. I really want to eat it. Very popular with customers who jump in the industry I want to eat this salted chocolate Just buy the original flavor.

Because there is no water in the room So we also bought two bottles of water Fortunately, it’s been a mild winter this year and there is less snow at the end of February. We were able to walk the Gosenuma Trail so smoothly

If the snow is too thick, it will be difficult to move forward without snowshoes. Tomorrow morning if the weather is good Walk over again and see if the color is different. Thank you for watching until the end. See you in the next video.

Satori
