【国指定史跡・新宮宮内遺跡】ゴールデンウィークのまったり龍野・姫路旅行。一日目は播磨新宮の梅岳寺と弥生遺跡をまわりました。

Harima Shingu is surprisingly full of things to see. The first half is the Shingu Imperial Ruins and Umagakuji Temple. Even though it was Golden Week, I was able to see the ruins privately. April 30, 2023.
I decided to stay at Harima Shingu, change to the Himeshin Line at Himeji, and get off at Hontatsuno Station to see the castle town of Tatsuno.
The color of the trains on the Hime Shin Line is vermilion, and there is a statue on the platform, inspired by the “red dragonfly” by Rofu Miki, a native of Tatsuno. The Himeshin Line runs from Himeji to Sayo/Tsuyama.
I was really excited to go sightseeing around Tatsuno, but I discovered that I couldn’t leave my luggage around Hontatsuno Station.
Regarding luggage, the tourist information center told me that the circumstances are as follows. Originally, there were no lockers at Hontatsuno Station, and there used to be a company that would store your luggage, but they apparently withdrew a while ago. Apparently people are often asked to leave it at the tourist information center, but
The city hall has told them not to do so. I have complained to the tourist information center many times, but they say there is no movement. It may have improved now, but if you want to leave your luggage, I think it’s better to check in advance.
Since I couldn’t walk around the castle town of Tatsuno with a cart, I went to Shingu that day, left my luggage at the hotel, and rode two stops from Hontatsuno Station to Harima Shingu.
I had my hotel pick me up at Shingu Station and was planning to go to the hotel, but they said they would just take my luggage there first, so I decided to go sightseeing around Shingu. . Tatsuno City is located in the western part of Hyogo Prefecture, in an area called Nishi-Harima.
Harima Shingu is a town along the Ibo River, two stops from Hontatsuno Station, where the old townscape of Tatsuno is located. I want to eat lunch, so I’m going to go to the roadside station. This roadside station is popular for its locally produced soy sauce, tsukudani, Ibonoito somen noodles, and historic Japanese sweets.
At the restaurant “Shingu no Sato,” you can enjoy a wide variety of menus, including somen noodles made with local “Ibo no Ito,” with a focus on grilled meat. There was also a wide variety of easy lunch menus. Rice bowl with steak. Now it’s 1250 yen.
I also ate red bean ice cream from Tatsuno City. I didn’t know anything about Shingu, but the guide said it was 0.9km, so I decided to go to Umagakuji. That mountain you can see all the time. It’s cute and looks like a pyramid with a tree growing out of it.
This is Otoriyama. (The caption in the video is incorrect.) The information board is so faded that it is difficult to understand. There are many ruins and ancient tombs. This time, I went to Umagakuji Temple, Tenma Shrine, and Shingu Imperial Ruins. It was a nationally designated historic site and worth seeing.
The suspension bridge near Shinguso where I stayed and Higashiyama Park were also very nice places. I arrived at Umagakuji Temple.

Umedaku-ji Temple contains the tombs of Nobuya Ikeda and Yukizo Murakami of the Ako domain, who participated in the revenge. It’s a very peaceful and beautiful scenery. Shingu Sports Center and Shingu Library. And then there is the Shingu Imperial Ruins Yayoi Forest, a nationally designated historic site.
There were quite a few cars parked there, but there was no one at the ruins, probably because they were coming to use nearby facilities. The Ibono Ito factory is next to it. The explanation of the Shingu Imperial Ruins is quoted from the Tatsuno City website.
“This is a village ruin located in Shingu/Miyauchi, Shingu Town, and traces of life span from the Jomon period to the Heian period. The ruins were at their most prosperous in the middle of the Yayoi period, about 2,000 years ago

The information board is also in tatters. In the Shingu Imperial Ruins, there were many graves from the Yayoi period between the Kitaomizo and Minamiomizo groups. Among these, the most common were earthen graves, where a rectangular grave was dug in the ground and the “body” was placed in a wooden coffin and buried.
When excavated, some had circular or square grooves surrounding them, while others did not. The ditches around the earthen burial mounds were not in good order, making it extremely difficult to know the relationship between the ditches and the earthen burial graves.
The remains of a “pit dwelling” (SH44 dwelling) whose roof was thatched with thatch and then covered with earth to create a “thatched roof” were discovered. A large number of pedestals and various Yayoi pottery that were thought to have been used for work were excavated from the SH44 residence.
In addition, a stone ax called a “ringed stone ax”, fragments of a foot-shaped stone ax used as a wood-cutting tool, and a stone arrowhead attached to the tip of an arrow were found in the soil that had fallen into the house.
Approximately 60 pit dwellings from the Yayoi period have so far been discovered in the Shingu Imperial Ruins. The two houses here were restored based on excavations, using chestnut and cypress trees that were identified through tree species analysis of the excavated wood and procured from nearby areas.
The Buried Cultural Properties Center located to the north of the ruins also exhibits excavated items.
I often go to ruins parks because they are vast, have great scenery, are not crowded, and are places where you can enjoy a relaxing time, so it’s fun to visit if you have time and it’s nearby when you go to a tourist spot. .
The Shingu Imperial Ruins are surrounded by mountains, and there are some houses that have been restored by local volunteers, so it was really worth seeing.
While we were touring, a couple of local elderly people came for a walk and were relaxing, but even though it was Golden Week, there were no tourists at all. I think this is a wonderful ruin that I would like more tourists to visit.

一日目は、姫路から姫新線の播磨新宮駅のしんぐ荘に泊まりました。揖保の糸の工場が横にある新宮宮内遺跡と梅岳寺、宮内八幡神社（天満神社）をまわり、つり橋をわたって東山公園へ。ゴールデンウィークの混雑とは無縁の自然と史跡が一杯の素敵な旅になりました。
きれいな△の山があるんですが、大鳥山というみたいです（動画中で黍山って書いてしまっています💦）。
二日目は、龍野の城下町、三日目は姫路の太陽公園に行きました。
ゴールデンウィークといえば混雑しているものですが、ちょっとローカルなところに行くと、名所が沢山あるのにゆったりと楽しめてお勧めです。
後編の赤い吊り橋を渡って行く、志んぐ荘と東山公園です。
