Japan walking tour | Tokyo station in evening [4K]

Thanks for your request “I want a video that shows skyscrapers from Tokyo Station.” Tokyo station 5:50 p.m. March 21, 2024 Please feel free to leave a comment. I really enjoy reading them all. Thank you kindly. In March, young women in kimono are often seen around Tokyo Station.

This is because there are university graduation ceremonies in large halls around Tokyo Station, and many people take commemorative photos in front of the Tokyo Station Building afterwards. You may have the image of Japanese people wearing kimonos, but in reality, very few Japanese people wear kimonos on a daily basis.

Most Japanese wear kimonos only for milestone events in their lives, such as coming-of-age commemorations and weddings. This subtitle describes the people and events in the video. The culture, lifestyle and way of thinking of the Japanese people will also be mentioned.

If you want to enjoy only the scenery and audio of the walk, please turn off the subtitles. This retro-looking building is the Marunouchi Station Building of Tokyo Station. It was partially destroyed by fire in an air raid during World War II, but has since been restored.

It is a valuable structure designated as a national important cultural property. Enter the north entrance of the Marunouchi Station Building at Tokyo Station. The ceiling is beautifully domed. Such an artistic building is very rare among Japanese train stations.

Tokyo Station has 28 train platforms and is used by many people, including businessmen and tourists. In winter, many Japanese, especially men, wear black clothes. I have the impression that tourists from overseas often wear colorful outerwear, but what about in your country? Please let me know in the comments section.

Various artworks can be seen on the streets around Tokyo Station. In the foreground are the stairs to Otemachi Station. There are several stations within walking distance around Tokyo Station. In addition to Otemachi, you can walk to Ginza, Yurakucho, Nihonbashi, and other stations. The sky is getting darker.

The sunset time in Tokyo that day was 5:50 p.m., just when I started this walk. Sapia Tower is located on the north side of Tokyo Station. There is also a hotel inside. Highway bus stop at Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, you can access various places from near to far.

Compared to travelers from overseas, more Japanese people wear masks. This is not only due to vigilance against coronaviruses, but also because of the increase in influenza infections every winter. In addition to those who enjoy eating, drinking, and conversing, many people work and study in Japanese cafes.

Since some people stay for several hours with a cup of coffee, this café has started to set a limit of “only 90 minutes for a cup of coffee. “Dumplings and beer are a culture” Dumplings are a mixture of minced meat and chopped vegetables wrapped in a skin and baked.

Although it is a Chinese dish, it is also commonly eaten in Japanese homes. The area I am walking now is around Nihonbashi Station, east of Tokyo Station. The purple glow is the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station. The complex is called Tokyo Midtown Yaesu.

Not only are there stores, offices, and a hotel, but also an elementary school and a nursery school in the building. As spring approaches, strong winds often blow in Tokyo. Japanese cars drive on the left side of the road, but are there more countries that drive on the right side?

Compared to other parts of Tokyo, there is less graffiti on the walls around Tokyo Station. This may be due to the fact that it is an office district, so there are fewer young people and security around the buildings is tighter.

Restaurants are lined up under the elevated railway tracks south of Tokyo Station. Japanese people do not always eat Japanese food. They eat Western and Chinese food just as often. Unlike Shinjuku and Shibuya in the same Tokyo area, the Tokyo Station area is almost free of trash dumped in the alleyways.

No matter where I walk in the city, I get the impression that the streets are clean. Head north and return toward Tokyo Station. Enter the KITTE Marunouchi shopping facility. The rooftop of KITTE is one of the best places around Tokyo Station where you can see beautiful night views for free.

To the left of center is the Marunouchi Building. There is a free observation spot there where you can see the night view of Tokyo Station from the front. Return to 1st floor. We are now back in the Marunouchi Station Building of Tokyo Station.

The Marunouchi area of Tokyo Station is a popular spot for wedding photography. There are several types of weddings in Japan, and the bride and groom choose the one they prefer. Many Japanese choose a Western-style wedding ceremony in a chapel with a dress rather than a Shinto wedding ceremony in a shrine with kimonos.

At the end of this wide street is the residence of the royal family. Tours are available during the day, but some areas must be reserved in advance. Enter Marunouchi Naka-dori Avenue. This avenue attracts many people during the Christmas season to see the illuminations. Tokyo International Forum.

This facility serves as a venue for concerts, ceremonies, and international conferences.

I took a 4K video while taking an evening walk around Tokyo Station.
The area around Tokyo Station is lined with skyscrapers and is famous as one of Japan’s leading business districts.
Although part of the Marunouchi Station Building of Tokyo Station was lost in an air raid during World War II, its historic appearance can still be seen today thanks to subsequent restoration work. Designated as a National Important Cultural Property, the Marunouchi Station Building is a must-see during your visit to Tokyo.
