【50代京都旅行Vlog】日帰り京都観光の定番人気コース✨清水寺と嵐山での絶品スイーツ&グルメランチ堪能の大人旅🌸京都グルメ/京都ランチ/京都スイーツ/女ひとり旅

YouTube automatic translation. Hello, I’m “TAKE-CHAN” and I travel to Kyoto. This is a channel that disseminates Kyoto tourist information that is useful for traveling to Kyoto. If you like Kyoto, please subscribe to our channel and watch! This time, it’s a Vlog about a day trip around Kyoto.

Sightseeing around Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Arashiyama, both of which are very popular in Kyoto, in one day. It was my first time visiting two of the most popular places in one day, so I was excited! Oops! There are ticket gates (lol).

First, we will start from the area around Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which is a must-see in the morning. The other day, I went around noon and turned around with a lot of people, so today is my revenge (lol). It’s now 8:40 a.m. on a weekday. I’m really excited (lol).

Shijo Ohashi Bridge is busy with people commuting to work and school, and buses are also congested. Passing by Minamiza, we proceed through the Gion shopping district, which has yet to open. Every time I hear “Okoshiyasu,” I end up saying, “I’m here!” (lol). [Hanami Koji] is the gate of [Miyako Odori]🌸.

As expected, there are no tourists at this time! I’m currently walking on a public road, but it looks like some of the private roads around here will no longer be passable from April.

As a tourist, I want to follow good manners! There are also large paper lanterns on display, which makes it look impressive! It’s very windy today. Please be careful of the sound of the sudden wind! Proceed to the left at [Kenninji] at the end of the road to the south.

Ah, cute maiko. I won’t chase you, I’ll respect my manners! On the way, I saw beautiful early blooming cherry blossoms next to the torii gate of [Yasui Konpira Shrine]. Plum blossoms are blooming on [Nene no Michi]🌸.

This road was named after Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s legal wife, Nene, who spent the rest of her life here. A quiet and atmospheric road with beautiful cobblestone pavement. During the day, there are also rickshaws going around, which is a great way to experience the typical Kyoto atmosphere.

If you turn left here, you will see [Kaidorozaka] which leads to [Kodaiji]. Once you see the thatched roof and the Yasaka Tower, the Nene no Michi ends here. The cherry blossoms at Kodaiji Park are still in bud🌸. [Nineizaka] starts from here. The streets of quaint buildings are lined with restaurants and souvenir shops.

Among them is the popular [STARBUCKS COFFEE]. Open from 8:00am! It is recommended early in the morning as it is empty. It is said that the painter and poet Yumeji Takehisa spent some time in this area. When you reach the top of the stairs, you will reach Sanneizaka.

The slope continues until [Kiyomizu-dera]. I guess I’m not even halfway there yet (lol). After 9 o’clock, the number of tourists gradually increased. Climb the last stairs of [Sanneizaka]. Once you reach the top, it’s the last slope [Shimizuzaka]. The goal is near, let’s do our best (lol). [Niomon] is now in sight!

I arrived at [Kiyomizu-dera Temple]. The sky is blue and it feels good. [Niomon Gate] The plum tree in front is blooming. Cute cherry blossoms were blooming at the foot of the [three-storied pagoda]🌸. [Kiyomizu-dera Temple] is said to have about 1,500 cherry blossom trees.

Still a bud. I would like to visit again when it is in full bloom 🌸. After 9:30, the number of tourists suddenly increased! [Otabe-chan] doesn’t seem to have woken up yet (lol). The popular photo spot where you can see [Yasaka Tower] is very popular! [Yasaka Koshindo] is popular among women.

Inside the shrine grounds, there are many colorful dedicated “Kukurizaru” hanging. [Mamemono and Taiyaki] is located right next to [Yasaka Koshindo]. Opened in April 2023. The Arashiyama store opened in 2020, and the [Anbuta Taiyaki], which has a one-minute expiration date, is very popular.

This was my first time visiting the Shimizu store, but it is a renovated old folk house and is spacious inside. Eat-in is available on the bench on the 1st floor as well as on the 2nd floor. [Shimizu store] Limited [Matcha custard]. The dough and custard inside contain Uji matcha.

Amazing! It’s a very bright green. It’s not too sweet and contains plenty of cream with a nice matcha flavor. This is delicious! Taiyaki is irresistible for matcha lovers. Thank you for the meal. On the way, we will take a stroll through Miyagawacho, one of the five entertainment districts.

The cherry blossoms on the lanterns are cute and spring-like. Ah, the back of a Geiko-san. Probably. The Miyagawa Town Kaburenjo is currently undergoing reconstruction work. I went to [Kawabata Street]. We will have lunch at a restaurant right next to here. [Fujitora] has a cute menu.

It’s quite windy so I take shelter in the store (lol). This is a purely Japanese-style restaurant located in a renovated old folk house. There are tatami rooms, semi-private rooms, private rooms, and table seats. It was almost full for lunch, so if you’re going, we recommend making a reservation. [Rice made with seasonal vegetables].

【cooked rice】. It has a lot of salmon and is delicious! [Kyoto pork] is served with ponzu sauce. I’ll try adding chili oil. This chili oil contains walnuts and is delicious. From the left, the condiments are yuzu koji miso, gochujang mayonnaise, yuzu pepper, mayonnaise, and salted seaweed. Beautiful colorful steamed vegetables.

Yuzu koji miso for lotus root. Gochujang mayonnaise for yellow carrots. Spicy and delicious! Add the yuzu pepper to the mushrooms! I think I’ll just have the sweet potato as is. Radish [Benikururi] is made with salted seaweed. Most of the time, I don’t get it (lol). The pumpkin looks delicious as is.

Sweet spring cabbage with two types of mayonnaise. All of them are delicious and you can really taste the flavors of the ingredients. Desserts: [Matcha Panna Cotta] and [Tora Monaka]. It’s plump, creamy and delicious. The Tora Monaka was so cute that I couldn’t resist ordering it (lol). [Salted bean paste] is also rare.

The combination of salty red bean paste and fresh cream is perfect. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! I returned to Shijo Ohashi Bridge, but it was still a very windy day. Now that I’m full, I’ll take the train to Arashiyama. I will transfer to Hankyu Railway and Randen to get there.

Jump off at [Omiya Station] and make a U-turn! ! ! I completely forgot (crying). It was windy so I thought I could do it later, but as expected, I forgot… I’ve been forgetting things a lot lately, maybe it’s because of my age? Are you eating too much sugar?

Things were going well today and I was feeling good, but nothing happened. Why am I like this? A system where divine punishment descends the moment you get carried away. Ah, if possible, I want to be born as a solid person in my next life!

Phew. I forgot the video in front of the store. The tiger lighting is a landmark! I’m glad I remembered. I was surprised when we started with the menu so suddenly (lol). Now, shall we head to Arashiyama? At Saiin, change to Randen. Randen is right next door. Randen is a cute purple tram.

“Arashi Yama desu, Okoshiyasu” “Izutsu Yuko”. I was surprised to hear local songs playing (lol). Was it always running? It wasn’t my first time riding the Randen train, but it was the first time I noticed it (lol). I just grinned to myself (lol). 13:30 Arrived at Arashiyama Station!

This was the best ever, and I was surprised at how many people there were even though it was a weekday. [Arashiyama Shoryuen] is located in front of the station. On the 1st floor here is the Arashiyama branch of [Mamemono and Taiyaki].

There’s always a line, so if you’re going, I recommend the Shimizu branch, which is a little-known spot at the moment. Anyway, I’m an amazing person, so I walk to an area with fewer people as much as possible. Enjoy the garden slowly at [Tenryuji]! That’s what I thought, but I canceled it.

I arrived at JR Saga Arashiyama Station. cherry blossoms? plum? Maybe plum (lol). [SAGANOYU] is located about 2 minutes from the station. As the name suggests, this restaurant is a renovated public bath built in the late Taisho era. Wow, the interior is so stylish that you wouldn’t believe it was actually a public bath!

I think this area was probably a dressing room, but there are faint traces of it on the tiles in the back. Cookies with a bath mark! So cute (lol). I wonder if the checkout counter used to be a counter? It says BANDAI.

The store is very spacious with a second floor, and it’s fun to have a variety of spaces. I sat at a round table on the terrace. This is a popular restaurant with a line of 4 people waiting just before 3pm. Tea. I’m so happy! It comes with a hot spring logo cookie.

[Strawberry Mille-feuille]. It is filled with plenty of custard cream. There’s also plenty of strawberry sauce with less sweetness. Crispy and delicious. The ice cream is also delicious and not too sweet. I was surprised at how crispy the cookies were.

The interior of the cafe is based on white and has a country-like feel, making it a comfortable cafe. I was dazed and ended up adding too much milk (lol). There were suddenly a lot of customers, so I had a chance to take a photo.

Near the original washing area, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a public bath, with faucets remaining and remnants of the bathhouse. Around 16:00 is a recommended time because it’s empty. Lunch is also popular, so I’d like to come back for lunch next time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

[Nonomiya Shrine] is popular for tying knots. A couple gets sucked in. [Bamboo forest path] around 16:30. When you come to Arashiyama, you can’t miss this place! The refreshing bamboo forest purifies my soul (lol). I returned to [Togetsu Bridge].

At 5pm, there are fewer people at Togetsukyo Bridge. I was really surprised at lunch (lol). Today, we visited the top two popular spots in Kyoto, what did you think? I would be happy if you could use it as a reference for sightseeing in Kyoto.

This channel also has other helpful Vlogs for traveling to Kyoto and Kyoto gourmet videos. I have posted it at the end and in the explanation column, so please take a look if you like. I’ve put together a playlist, so I’d be happy if you could take a look.
