Hello, this is ISchannel. I would like to introduce Sanma Soba and Hanasaki Line bento, which are served as ekiben at Nemuro Station on the Hanasaki Line section of the Nemuro Main Line in Hokkaido.
At Nemuro Station, you can buy ekiben, alcohol, snacks, and goods according to the departure times of the Rapid Hanasaki train from Nemuro at 11:03 a.m. and the 5630D local train bound for Kushiro at 1:34 p.m. There will be a small shop where you can buy.
In addition, at Nemuro Station, like Ochiishi Station, local ekiben are available for pre-order, such as the 5626D local train departing from Nemuro at 8:27 am bound for Kushiro, the rapid Hanasaki train at 11:34 am, or the 5630D local train at 1:34 pm. Depending on the departure time of the three trains bound for Kushiro, please call Taiei Headquarters or Taiei Chidori Main Store for Yakitori Bento and Grilled Sanma Sushi by the morning of the previous day, and for Hanasaki Line Bento by 2 days in advance. Then, in exchange for cash, they will deliver the item to Nemuro Station.
Here’s how to order local lunch boxes and what to keep in mind. Nemuro Station is the easternmost manned station in Japan. There is a parking lot at the back of the platform. This is the station name sign, and Nemuro Station is the last stop.
There are also station name signs with route names and thermometers. Cape Nosappu and Kurumaishi are included in the guide to famous places at Nemuro Station. There is information on how to prevent bad manners when riding the train.
This is the ticket gate of the station, where the entrance and exit are separated, and the timetable shows both arrival and departure times. Above the ticket gate at the exit, a Hanasaki Line poster is pasted on the window, and next to the window is a timetable.
The entire inside of the station building is a waiting room, and it looks like this. In the waiting room, there is a vending machine for sweets and bread with Kiha 54 and Hanasaki Crab drawn on it, and the bottom two tiers sell bread from a local bakery.
Next to the vending machine is a cosplay corner where you can become a station master. There are two drink vending machines next to it. There is a face display panel next to the drink vending machine. The wall behind the waiting room is a PR corner for the Hanasaki Line.
There is a restroom in the back right corner of the waiting room, and there is a stamp stand to the left of the restroom. There is a coin locker in front of the restroom.
There is a green ticket office at the ticket office to the left of the ticket gate, and a message is written on a blackboard next to it.
There is a Hanasaki Line sightseeing map next to the Midori no Madoguchi counter, and at the bottom left of the Hanasaki Line sightseeing map there is an introduction to ekiben. The exit is behind the ticket gate, and the area around the exit is full of Hanasaki Line posters, pamphlets, and exhibits.
A kiosk appeared on the left side of the exit at around 10:30, 30 minutes before the departure of the Rapid Hanasaki train. At the bottom left, I was promoting the Nemuro Ekiben Sanma-don, but I had already reserved the Octopus Meal Bento at Ochiishi Station, so I gave up.
The sales lineup of products looks like this, and this corner definitely catches my eye. This time, I bought cold Sanma Soba, Sapporo Classic, and a three-piece assortment of delicacies at the shop, and received the Hanasaki Line bento that I reserved in advance.
Sanma soba is cooked at a soba restaurant called Kitazenjin, which is located to the left of the station building at Nemuro Station, and is brought to you after you pay. And this is Sanma Soba.
The label on the lid has an illustrated map that shows a circuit from Kushiro to Nemuro, and the sea is written as Nemuro.
When you open the lid, it looks like this: there are a lot of grilled saury seasoned with fish sauce on top of the soba noodles, and white onions and kamaboko are also on top of the soba noodles. Add soba soup and chili pepper seasoning and enjoy.
I ate it all. Thank you for the meal. This is a Hanasaki Line bento. When you open the wrapping paper, it looks like this, and at first glance it looks like a Makunouchi bento, but it’s actually a bento filled with the flavors of Nemuro. When you open the plastic lid, it looks delicious.
The top left contains fried cod, grilled sockeye salmon, and sausage. The top right contains boiled whelks, boiled vegetables, and fried eggs. The bottom left is a hinomaru bento with sesame seeds. The bottom right is an escalope, with demi-glace sauce on top of the tonkatsu, and the bottom is butter rice.
The center dish was boiled octopus legs, which were soft and delicious, and I enjoyed the entire bento. Thank you for the meal. Thank you for watching. If you like, please subscribe to the channel.
