Jagatani Park Observatory Ryuganji,Tamana City Description of Jagatani Park Observatory. This park is a park maintained as a city park. The park is located on a gentle slope at the foot of Mt. Shodai, with an area of 19.8ha and an elevation of 20m above sea level.
Park facilities include an observation deck at an altitude of 110.8m, as well as tennis courts and a baseball field. Approximately 10,000 cherry trees, azaleas, Taiwanese maples, and other trees have been planted within the park. In addition, it is a lush green area as pine trees, mountain peaches, and sawtooth oaks grow naturally.
The view from the observatory offers a view of the city and the clear flow of the Kikuchi River below. Additionally, the view of the islands floating in the Ariake Sea in the distance is one of the best in the prefecture.
