TOP 5 DINGEN OM TE DOEN, In het mooie en veelzijdige Hanoi, VIETNAM 🇻🇳

We’re going to do quite a lot today, right? Oh dear, this is another nice statement. How do you say that? Crossing is quite a thing here. Nice. That looked a little less tasty. A lot of people are looking at us. There’s happy hour everywhere, free shots everywhere. They’re here! What a mess…

Up there! Omg this is pretty scary. This is really intense. Be careful, be careful. It is going to happen! My name is Jackson. And I’m Marjo. And we are traveling around the world! Traveling the world with Jackson and Marjo. Hello all! Great that you are watching a new video again!

We are still in Vietnam. In Hanoi. And Marjo, as always, has made a nice plan today. We’re going to do quite a lot today, right? I have done my homework well. And I think I picked out a few nice things.

And we are already at the first location and that is Phung Hung street. And this street is known for having many murals. These murals actually depict the daily life of the Vietnamese. And they painted that in a three-dimensional way. Yes, and you can already see one in the background.

And here in this whole street are the murals. So let’s take a quick look at them. And so this is the old town of Hanoi? And so this part of the city is already 1000 years old?

No, we are now on the border of the “Old Quarter”. That is indeed the old city of Hanoi. and it is indeed 100 years old. But that’s where we’re going in a moment. Oh okay! You see, I didn’t do my homework properly. Here is a man writing, with ink.

Oh dear, this is another nice statement. Bách Hóa Tong Hop. No idea what it means. A train, with children hanging from the side. Oh, this is a tram by the way, not a train. This looks like a temple. Oh, yeah! This is fun!

You still see those bicycles that you see here, with a seat in the front. Just now, yes! And then you can… You can sit in there and then you become… How do you say that? Then you are cycled. At least some kind of taxi. You can order that too.

Very nice, maybe we can do that soon. Yes? This one is beautiful, isn’t it? Oh, yeah! You’ve already done this, haven’t you? That’s quite difficult, where was that again? Was that in Hoi An? Yes in Hoi An. This looks like a market. I must say, this is very nicely painted.

You can really see the 3D effect in it. This is a very special one, which is made of many bathroom tiles. I just don’t really see what it is supposed to represent. I can see some clouds up there. Maybe this is a river, and above it a village or something.

I find it quite difficult to recognize. Oh wait a minute. Oh look! The image is also on each tile. It is indeed water with clouds and a bridge here. This one is made entirely of mosaic stones. A golden scooter. Yes, you see a lot of scooters here too.

I think that’s the number 1 mode of transportation here in Vietnam. Oh, Marjo, you can climb here! Also images of the city. This is funny, they actually taped up the doors here. Oh, yeah! Indeed. Wow, this one is coolly done. Isn’t this actually Chinese too? Look what they’re wearing! Louis Vuitton.

All Louis Vuitton. This is Burberry, right? Indeed yes. They do have style. Yes, nice. And here’s the last one. That’s the track of a train. But it was made… Let’s see. It feels very ribbed. I don’t know what… Ow! These are power cables. All small power cables.

Cut and pasted next to each other. That is very special. Yes. Crossing is quite a thing here. It’s just doable. Yes, don’t be crazy, just walk calmly. And then they usually stop, but it goes against your feeling to cross. We are now going into that street there.

A very small narrow street, along the track that runs above. Let’s see where that takes us… Let’s see where that’s going to take us. Some kind of small street market or something. This is also what I like about Vietnam. The togetherness, everyone having a nice meal on the street with friends or family.

Have a nice breakfast in the morning. You don’t see that at all in the Netherlands. I think that’s a nice thing. Flip flops. She is peeling. Nice. That looked a little less tasty. Here they are all having a nice meal. Look at all those scooters!

This is great! We’ve already found the taxi, it’s coming. We’re just going to do it. This is one of those bicycles. Hello! We would like to go to “Beer street” Ta Hien beer street. Beer street? Yes, how much does that cost? 200 for both of you.

200. That’s about €8, which is quite pricey. Yes… But that man has to cycle fast for it. That’s true. Let’s give it to him. Ok, we’re going to give it to him. Yes, get in. Okay, here we go. We sit. Oh bad huh?

But okay, we also pay gold for it. Yes that is true. But that man has to kick really hard. Christmas decorations. Yeah, nice to see, right? That they do so much at Christmas here in Vietnam. While it’s just sweltering here. Very strange, huh? Fake snow everywhere and stuff.

All Christmas trees and Santa Claus. By the way, I understand why he’s asking for 200,000. Because he really has to kick hard. Yes, but we’re not small either. We are quite heavy. Germ. A lot of people are also looking at us. Oh, there go two of those tourists again.

We just have to put on the blinders. Is everything still going well? Yes? OK. Good? OK thank you. We arrived at Ta Hien street. Better known as Beer Street. And in the evening when you are here.

Then you can hardly walk here anymore. Then there are chairs everywhere on the road, thousands of people. And then you can go out here. We have already tried that. That was fun, right? Yes! That was very nice! There’s happy hour everywhere and free shots everywhere.

Yes, and we met two nice people, we spent the evening with them. A very pleasant street. We are now going to look for something to eat, because we haven’t done that yet. Yes, hungry. Well, we’re sitting at our table. We actually sat down straight away.

Because what you see a lot here is the Bánh mì. And those are actually just sandwiches. We haven’t really found that before in Asia. Yes, that was in Vietnam, but we had a delicious sandwich in Ho Chi Minh.

But in Asia it is indeed not very easy to find a sandwich, and if they have it, we go for it immediately. Because yes, rice every day, so it’s nice to change it up. Yes exactly, that makes me very happy. Yes, me too. They’re here! I have one with egg. And you have?

Chicken. Chicken with honey by the way. And they are nice and warm. Deliciously crispy. Can you imagine, this doesn’t even cost €1, very cheap indeed. This costs 20,000 dong. Yes, really ridiculous. So for 8 sandwiches you can take a taxi, which is what we just did.

Yes, but that man deserved it. Yes, anyway. He really had to kick for his life. So we’re going to eat! Bellies are full. Do you know what it is time for now? Now it’s time for the egg coffee, right? The dessert.

I must say. This sandwich is once again the tastiest sandwich I have had in months. Yes, they can make sandwiches here. Delicious! And for that euro you really can’t make it yourself. No, just start. That was so good! We made a quick stop, we had to do some shopping.

Another one for the collection, from Vietnam. We didn’t have that yet. No, we didn’t have that yet. +1 Hoppa! The collection is getting bigger. And now coffee. Are you ready for it? That’s him, isn’t it? The egg coffee. Yes, come on, let’s have a look. A table made for you, right?

I feel like I’m in a dollhouse. Yes, nice, I’ll sit down for a while. Yes cozy. This is the menu. Marjo has the normal egg coffee. And I have the egg coffee with Oreo. I am really curious. Yes, me too.

I just looked in the kitchen and I think they have very large kettles with eggs there. With runny egg. I am really curious. Okay, I think that’s mine. They should be warm, but the glass is cold. Oreo. This is very thick. I think you should eat this with a spoon.

This looks like pudding. Yes! I’m going to taste it. This is really tasty, but it just tastes like pudding. Don’t like eggs? No. It is warm. Oh, yeah! huh? This is just vanilla pudding. Nice indeed. Yes, look, this is indeed a thick mess. Is yours warm too? Yes, it’s warm too.

It’s exactly the same as yours, but I have pieces of Oreo in it. This is a nice combination. This reminds me a bit of that vanilla pudding with those chocolate balls in it. Do you remember them? Only with Oreo and it’s warm. Very warm, that’s strange. I expected a lot, but not this.

I actually thought it wouldn’t be tasty either. But this is really delicious. Oh, we did it wrong. I saw coffee all over the bottom and pudding on top. But you couldn’t see it, so we had to stir it well. But now, as you can see, it’s just watery.

So I guess we can drink it now. Wow! That really is a flavor explosion. Now that coffee comes in handy. Tasty? Yes, even tastier than it already was! As you can see, here behind me is the kitchen. All coffees are made there. A very large team. It is also extremely busy.

And you can go up here, I think it’s a few stories high. We just sat under here. But as you can see, the customers just keep pouring in. It is also very well regarded. Look at all those customers. It goes all the way to the back. This is a gold mine right here.

You walk through a narrow corridor here and that’s basically it. There’s only a sign above the door. With Cafe Giang. So if you are ever in Hanoi, I would definitely try the egg coffee. Right Marjo? Yes, this was really tasty. We have arrived back at our designated location.

All the way on the other side of town. This is the Lotte Center. And we go up there. That’s quite a bit. And apparently when you get up there you can see the whole city. I’m curious, I don’t even know how much it costs to go up. We’re going to find out now.

We have the tickets and have already gone through the scans. A normal ticket costs 230,000. We have a drinks receipt and it costs 280,000 each. So then you pay €2 more. I think it can be done. We are now going to take the elevator to floor 65.

At least that was before the drink. I don’t know what the top floor is. I think that’s the highest. Yes? OK. I think so. We will see. Oh, he’s already here. Wow. There is only 1 button. Oh yes, where are we going? Oh, what’s going to happen? My ears are already closing.

This is like Dubai again, isn’t it? Yes, the Burj Khalifa. Oh wait, here you can see where we are. We’re not even half way there yet. We are completely in the clouds. Here you have a glass plate. We have to take off our shoes for a moment. WOW! This is intense!

Yeah, bye, I’m not going to get up there. I’ll get up here. Look! This is pretty scary. Normally I’m not that scared, but now I’m shaking a bit. Oh, that makes me dizzy for a moment. I don’t think I’ve ever walked on such a heavy glass slab before. You just shouldn’t look down.

Look. This is really intense. Yes, not normal. I took a super cool photo. If you look down, you immediately feel it in your stomach or something. You get kind of dizzy. But I think that’s because you can see us making contact with the ground. That you’re so… yes. This is really intense.

And when you look at the bottom of the glass, it looks like it’s not that thick. But I think it’s just 4 layers thick, like they made it here. I think. If you look down like that you can’t see that. Here you see the tower.

And so it says here that it is the third tallest building in Vietnam. Oh… there’s a girl showering naked. And on the other side of the building there is another one. With a heart. Let’s get up together. Above all, it is not about looking down. Yes, I looked down. Are we leaving? Yes!

Cheers! Hoppa. Well, we have our feet on the ground again. And we took a taxi again, all the way back to the other side. Because we are now at our last stop. We just have to walk there.

So this is a street with all kinds of restaurants and bars and the train goes through it. A very narrow street. Let’s see if we can sit on a terrace there somewhere. I think it’s something similar to what we did in Thailand in the train market, with Boy and Jan.

Only now you can really eat here, it was more of a market there. And now it will be more restaurants. Which runs exactly over the track. So I’m curious. Don’t film. Yes, bye! It’s already starting to get a little darker. All lights come on. All trees are decorated.

Oh, we can get in here. Be careful when crossing. Oh beware, beware! Can you follow him? Yes. Okay, train street. We got through it, don’t ask me how. But suddenly it worked. It’s strange that it’s allowed here. Yeah… Oh well, at least we’re here. I think we’re going to his restaurant now.

It’s fun like this, isn’t it? Yes. We are settled. We are really right next to the railway. So when the train comes by, it comes through here. What do we have? Tiger Silver. And Marjo has the Strongbow Gold Apple Cider. Apple Cider yes. And this one from Marjo is really delicious.

We have tasted that before. Really good. So the train normally arrives every day at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. And then sometimes he also has times that vary a bit. So we’re really lucky because it’s now 5:00 PM? Something like that, yes. So we didn’t expect him to come yet.

We are really lucky, because now it is also light. It is still light now. Tasty! Chicken popcorn. We are almost 2 hours further now. Yes… the train won’t come early anyway. He just doesn’t come until 7:00 PM. Yes…

And when you arrive here they say, the train will be here soon! So you sit here. Not that we mind. But he just doesn’t come until 7:00 PM. It is going to happen! 2 hours further. Or maybe even longer. But that doesn’t matter, we’re having a great time.

But he’s finally getting there. I’m going to stand up for a moment. All tables are already put aside, everyone stands. Everyone is already ready on the balcony. He’s going very slowly, that’s good. It was only 1 wagon.

How sad. I think there will be a very long train, but it was only 1 wagon. That’s really funny. Yes, such a nice train. That was a 2.5 hour wait for 5 seconds of spectacle. But the wait wasn’t bad. No, that’s true. That was the train. Great!

We have already arrived at the end of our day in Hanoi. Super nice city! I would definitely come here if you are in the area. Because there is plenty to do. And we’ve only done so much with what there is to do here. So this is definitely recommended.

We are now heading towards our hotel. It is only a 400 meter walk. Another short stroll along the track. Did you really enjoy this day in Hanoi? Then give that thumbs up. And don’t forget to subscribe! And then we’ll see you again in the next video. Bye Bye!

Yes, I did my homework well. And I’ve done a few fun things… Wait, there are people watching. Oh, hello! Hi!
