Hello, I’m Satori Yesterday we went to see the spectacular Zao Juhyo Then we stayed at a hotel near Yamagata Station for one night. let’s have breakfast Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the first floor Yonezawa Beef Tokibo We had dinner here last night too

It’s rare to see someone requiring a sorting coupon for breakfast We are actually number 2 Someone is ahead of us It’s 6:50 now Actually, there are still 10 minutes until it opens. Breakfast can be used as a gift certificate of 2,000 yen In fact, it is written above please sit here

Meals will be served directly to the table Please help yourself to the drinks and curry in front of you There is curry and some side dishes that you can take by yourself Fresh safflower eggs Yonezawa beef curry There are also drinks We both chose Japanese food Here is boiled taro

And then there’s the Yonezawa beef from the garden There are some side dishes and salads There are also fruits There is also a small piece of tamagoyaki and salmon This beef tsukudani is what we had last night This is quite delicious. This is quite delicious.

The feeling of 3 or 4 pieces of small minced meat I ate some of its beef I found that the location was different from yesterday’s It must be different. It was so expensive yesterday. Yes, yesterday’s was much delicious. I think this taro is delicious It’s a little hard outside

Then it feels soft inside Served with this soup Not too salty Here’s a bowl of Yonezawa beef curry Looks super rich You may find curry spicy Then I can’t eat it… We went to see Zao’s Juhyo yesterday Then stay at Yamagata Station Today I will take the Xianshan Line to Shansi Station

Going to climb Tateishi Temple Go check out Please put in the room card Thank you for staying at our hotel Oh, you’re going the wrong way, you’re going the wrong way Xianshan Line, the line we want to take It has very few buses. There is only one bus every hour.

It’s safer to arrive at the station early I saw such a big Kei Tanaka It’s super big The bag of rice he took should also be Yamagata rice. Xueruomaru, I remember we had it before Stations that can use Suica have been added in Yamagata.

There is a map of the mountain temple posted on the platform upstairs. This bus departs from Yamagata at 9:08 Ordinary train to Sendai This bus takes about 1 and a half hours to Sendai. We have arrived at the mountain temple Maps around the temple We are going to Tateishiji Temple

The walk takes 130 minutes Then there are more than a thousand stairs There are wild monkeys nearby! There is a soba shop opposite the station This seems to be a pretty famous store here. pear ice It feels like you will like it Several sections of roads are currently under construction.

There is a stone shop opposite this bridge. It seems to be a pretty famous soba shop here too. Why is there a cat? Met a cat passing by There is a white mountain in front This name is really interesting I found that almost all soba shops here are

I saw a lot of soba shops It takes about six minutes to walk from the station to the trailhead. Tateishi Temple on Mount Hoju is commonly known as “Mountain Temple” Covering an area of 330,000 square meters There are more than 30 large and small pagodas scattered throughout the mountain.

This sacred tree is Ginkgo biloba Very big tree Go up the mountain from the mountain entrance The tour material for Yamadera is 300 yen for adults. There is snow and ice So some places will be slippery so be careful Mountain temple map Gotta keep going up

You have to walk up more than a thousand stairs (to get to Okunoin) Then go to the Fifth Hall of 14 The scenery over there seems very beautiful two adults 600 yuan Japan’s Sacred Site Yamadera He said it would take about an hour to go back and forth.

We are going to challenge these 1,015 levels This should be a cat raised by the temple staff so cute There is a Doraemon hanging on it There is no snow on the stairs yet The snow is all around But it has frozen ice Still have to be careful

I plan to wait and install crampons depending on the situation. It’s 4 degrees here in Yamadera today But I think…it feels like 14 degrees Maybe it’s because I’m climbing stairs I just don’t feel that cold Buried underneath is a short booklet by Matsuo Basho.

It was so hot that I took off my coat I took it off too Walking till the whole body is sweating profusely The huge Amitabha Cave that looks like a Buddha statue We arrived at Niomon From here on, it feels like there are more frozen places. Be careful

There are two roads, left and right Decided to go left In front is the Kaisan Hall built on the rock. It doesn’t look easy to walk. Consider taking the right side instead. In the end, we still walked here. Let’s go up to the Fifth Hall from the stairs next to it.

The Five Great Halls are the dojo for worshiping the five great kings of the Ming Dynasty. Covered like a protrusion from a cliff The best viewing platform of the mountain temple Remind everyone not to graffiti (but there are graffiti next to it…)

Remind everyone not to stretch your body out. It is very dangerous. I didn’t expect to see such an ink painting scenery with my own eyes. It’s so touching. The scenery is so beautiful that I can’t bear to leave Let’s keep going up

There are still more than 160 steps from the top of the mountain. Memorial tablet dedicated to Yamagata Castle Lord Yoshimitsu Mogami and his retainers There is a small mailbox here You can send letters from Yamadera About to reach the destination Okunoin and Daibutsuden

Starting from the trailhead, I climbed more than a thousand stairs. Arriving at Okunoin Let’s go up there and there’s this last staircase It is closed now and cannot be visited. Okunoin is closed in winter There’s not a lot of people here at Okunoin. Everyone gathered at the Fifth Hall just now

It must be because it’s not open here. The view here is also good After the snow melts, it drips directly into the ditch. The whole snow water Fortunately, there was no freezing on the stairs today. So our snow claws are of no use But this is better because it’s easier to walk yes

This vegetable garden has turned into a field of snow Take the original route down the mountain It’s hard for me to imagine that all these stairs would be filled with snow and ice. How to go… It’s getting hot now and the snow is starting to melt. But still, be careful

Going down the mountain is faster than going up the mountain Going down the stairs is faster It’s much faster and some of the frozen areas have melted. Turned into water, right? It’s really not easy to go to the mountain temple to pay homage. There are more than a thousand stairs to climb

And you have to go back and forth We went down the mountain go find something to eat I just saw a few soba shops I feel like I can find a place to eat there. There is a snowman at the bottom of the mountain. Someone has piled up here… This looks like a…

A bird? Walk from the lower mountain pass towards the station This is too big Looks like a peach This bridge is the Sandera Boju Bridge I didn’t see the name when I arrived. There is a soba restaurant next to the bridge But it’s not open today Looks pretty good

This soba shop opposite the station I don’t know if it’s open today Today, most of the shops in Yamadera are closed on a regular basis. Then we can only go back to Yamagata Station to find something to eat. There is snow next to Yamadera Station

Then we take the 12:08 bus back to Yamagata Maybe it’s because I’m mentally prepared to eat soba noodles So now I really want to eat soba noodles I’ll check if there’s a good store in Yamagata when I get on the bus. It turns out that Yamagata’s mascot is called “Kitekero-kun”

The first time I saw a snowplow We were just on the mountain Walk down here and back to the station I was checking out what lunch options there are at Yamagata Station when I was on the bus. Then I saw that it takes about 10 minutes to walk near the station.

There is one of the oldest soba restaurants in Yamagata And just now we called to ask if it would be open today. I decided to eat that one at noon! Turn left at the level crossing ahead Shoji’s house is in front But I found a Shoji fish shop on the right.

I don’t know if it’s the same boss The soba noodles are in the front building. Shojiya is a long-established shop founded during the Keio period. It is also the oldest soba shop in Yamagata. Because it’s actually a bit hot at noon now So we all ordered cold soba noodles

There are many types of soba noodles Super market I ordered Pantian It’s flat soba noodles with tempura This is Ban Soba noodles It turns out that flat soba noodles are such big things I was scared when I saw it This should be quite satisfying. It tastes very present And very Q

The noodles feel a bit thick When I went to Fukushima on a business trip before, Someone there took me to eat soba noodles At that time, I thought Bansoba was a Fukushima dish. The result is a mountain shape I was also scared when I saw it for the first time in Fukushima

Bring out a big plate Bansoba is a specialty of Yamagata Put the soba noodles in a shallow box made of cedar wood Because it can be served in large quantities at one time So I heard that people in the past would dress it up like this and distribute it to relatives and friends.

Very full! We want to go to Wenxiang Hall It’s an old building near here We originally wanted to go But when I went to the mountain temple in the morning, I felt that my feet were a little sore now. So we went back to Yamagata Station Take the bus there

We are taking a ride to the city hall We’re going to the city hall Take the 2:13 bus It takes almost half an hour to walk from the station to Wenxiang Pavilion. It only takes 10 minutes by car. The Wenxiangkan (local museum) is right in front

Bunshokan was originally the Yamagata Prefectural Government Building. After the county hall was moved, Wenxiang Hall and the county meeting hall next door All have become nationally designated important cultural properties. It took ten years to complete the restoration You can visit Wenxiang Hall for free

Now the Bunshokan has become the Yamagata Prefectural Folk Museum. Collects many historical materials of Yamagata Let’s go along the way We used to have meetings here This main hall is super grand I also want to have a meeting here No, I don’t want a meeting I want to eat here

Yamagata City Street Map The lights above this room are also very beautiful. The ceiling is decorated with cherries and red flowers The carving is so exquisite The wallpaper pattern on the wall is also very beautiful This balcony has been remodeled Because it says the original one has become old and decayed

It feels like a place that can be used as an observation deck Looking ahead is the way we just came. The way to get off the bus Next door is the VIP room It says that when the royal family or high officials come, they will be received here.

This was originally the governor’s secretary’s office Now show some photos and information from that time This governor’s room “Excalibur” was filmed here I still remember this scene in the movie This room now displays some previous restoration records This old county hall building and the county meeting hall

It took ten years to repair it And the internal structure of the bell tower This is the police minister’s room It looks very much like a war meeting will be held here. It turns out that the red flower is the prefectural flower of Yamagata No wonder I keep seeing red flowers

This is a red cake made from safflower Just like a piece of dye Using safflower to extract the pigment of safflower Then make that red cake The red flower merchant will take it and sell it Oh, so it’s not a cookie Can’t eat it Then you can also use safflower to dye it

This is a furisode dyed with safflower. This color is very beautiful red I saw a work next to Furisode It’s called “The Triumph of Momotaro” But none of these things look like what they would have had in Momotaro’s time. Among his trophies was the violin

The monument cloister displays many previous documents and materials This is the previous public price list for daily necessities In the past, there was a fair price for selling things. This is the previous textbook The painting is so cute Three artifacts of previous home appliances It’s a refrigerator, a TV and a washing machine

In fact, it should still be the case now, right? I really want to see the atrium General Affairs Section Chief’s Office Why does he seem to be so close to the people instantly? This kind of table and chair is relatively modern This should really work Because I saw it written that

Conference rooms are available for rent We’ve almost completed the circle Go back to the second floor and walk to the old county meeting hall next door. When I saw these people just now, I thought they were real people. scaring me It’s quite realistic. He is planning Old County Meeting Hall and Atrium

The atrium is not open because of snow. What a pity. I can’t go out. From here we walked to the old county meeting hall It said this was a rare water-wash toilet at the time. My family used to be like this too. The water tank is on top

Then you can’t touch the water tank at all There is love next to the stairs all of them The former meeting place of the county meeting Now there are also some performances held here It’s like a school assembly place Much like a school auditorium

I originally thought that the museum was not big and I could finish it quickly. Unexpectedly, we watched it with gusto In the end, I stayed for almost two hours. The corridor we were walking through just now That’s it View of the old county meeting hall from the outside

Let’s go along the same road that the bus took just now Walk back towards the station Walk five minutes and you’ll see a shopping street It’s called Yudianyan Goden weir is one of the five weirs in Yamagata

Royal Palace Weir was used to provide water for agriculture and people’s livelihood more than 400 years ago. Now we make use of the weir landscape to create this shopping street Not too cold and not too hot Eat in the chair next to you You can see this waterway

So this Shojiya is the restaurant where we had lunch just now. Is this its branch? The well of Gotianyan The well is full of plants There’s a beef shop opposite Why don’t we buy a croquette and sit here and eat it? Let’s go in and see if they sell croquettes.

Do you really want to eat it? I really want to eat it… I’ll buy it if it’s available. The price is not too expensive This beef shop really sells croquettes Yonezawa Beef Croquette It feels hard I’m reminded of the super soft croquettes we had last time

This is totally different. This is super hard. I think I might be full after eating this at night I really ate too much at noon The supermarket next to it sells wild vegetables under the snow Wild vegetables that spend the winter buried in snow Vegetables don’t want to freeze themselves

So it produces its own sugar will become sweet If you see wild vegetables under the snow in the supermarket in the future, I would like to buy it and have a look I think the croquette has a lot of beef and is quite delicious.

As soon as the results came out, I saw wild vegetables under the snow, and I wanted to eat wild vegetables under the snow again. Look at the eight character house on the wall Here too Hakmonjiya is an old bookstore founded in Yamagata for more than 300 years. We passed by Kurenai again

It has a souvenir shop inside Yesterday we bought souvenirs This coffee shop looks like it has a great atmosphere We walked back to Yamagata Station Take the bus to Yamagata Airport Shuttle bus at 5:55 There are surprisingly few people going to the airport Take the 7:15 flight to Haneda

We also bought JAL’s special domestic tickets for the return trip. This trip was a big breakthrough for me With this experience I think I will have more courage to set foot in other places where there is ice and snow Thank you everyone for watching to the end. See you in the next video.

Satori❤
